Chapter Text
It was a dark and cold night, the wind whistled fiercely as if it were an angry creature, and on that night a pair of black wings broke through the sight with skill and grace.
Sullivan knew that he could get into some trouble for having crossed the human world illegally but after so much time of loneliness and continuous boredom he decided to venture to the other world hoping to find something or someone who would keep him company, don't get it wrong, his servant was not bad, just the opposite. He was very kind, although quiet and correct but he needed something else, someone to take care of, someone who needed him, who came to him in search of consolation when he was sick, someone who could pamper and consent to someone to watch grow, someone to whom to call a grandson, but there was the problem, he never had children, so a blood grandson would be impossible and despite being able to get one through adoption in hell it was possible (and even considering that he is the law so getting permits and other papers would be easy) he wanted to venture into something new and different, Thousands upon thousands of years lived can be very boring when you are alone.
He flew on for a while until he came to an abrupt halt when in the middle of a large forest he caught sight of a small, broken and dirty tent.
Deciding to get closer out of mere curiosity, she managed to see something that made her black heart clench in pain.
A small child not older than 6 years lying in a fetal position with his face apolliated in his hands, breathing heavily and with his face and dirty clothes, apart from looking hurt and sick.
His big blue eyes seemed to be clouded and dominated by tears, he also seemed to be hurt as if an animal had attacked him with claw marks here and there.
In his entire life Sullivan had seen many things, from wars to massacres caused by demons that had returned to their origins in ancient times, and even seen and participated in torture of all kinds.
But there is a limit that the demons definitely do not pass and that is to harm or abandon their own blood.
The family was something sacred to demons living for so long it is clear that for this it is best to keep precious people close and in ancient times when wars were daily bread, that precious family could come to save your life by being united, and the simple loss of one was a reason for mourning for years and years.
Which is why Sullivan had never seen someone abandon a family member, much less a child who even appeared to be too small to even know how to dress alone.
At that moment he decided that he had found what he had been looking for, someone to care for and love for the rest of his life, deciding to take the little one, he approached him slowly so as not to scare him.
The little boy, noticing the noise, raised his head slightly towards the aforementioned, but even though he tried to focus on the figure that hovered above him, he could not see him, possibly due to the tears that blocked his vision due to the pain caused by the wounds that the animal that had attacked him to protect his territory, or perhaps caused the high fever that was tormenting him due to exposure to the weather and the poor treatment of his injuries, but perhaps it was by instinct or perhaps due to child innocence, the little boy did not He felt fear at the unknown figure but a little bewilderment and confusion due to the blurred black spots that he managed to dilute with difficulty that seemed to be stuck to the back of the approaching humanoid figure.
Feeling that the fever was slowly devouring him, he managed to form a small smile to the stranger and then see himself submerged in darkness.
