Chapter Text
March 16th, 2016:
[Y/n] [L/n] was tired, it had been a long day at school with exams and boring, unchallenged classes. She was sitting bored in drama, nothing to do but read and think. [Y/n] looked at the non-moving clock on the wall in direct view of her and sighed. The clock didn't work but her internal clock did and it was telling her it was time to go, that, and the crowd around the door. With that, she put her book up and put her heavy backpack on and joined the crowd as the bell rang.
[Y/n] walked out of the school and headed for the car line where her dad was picking her up. She was sixteen and didn't have a license, however, she didn't care. As she was walking to the car she stopped in her tracks as she felt a shock wave hit her. [Y/n] stumbled back and noticed the vehicles had lost their power as if an EMP went off. That's when there was a scream and people started pointing at the sky.
"What the hell?" [Y/n] muttered after she looked up seeing a wormhole in the sky right above her. A second later everyone around her seemed to freeze in place as if time stopped. [Y/n] then suddenly felt numb, tingly, and sick all at once as gravity started to feel like bricks weighing on top of her. The last thing she saw before she passed out was a bright, blue flash of electricity.
May 4th, 2012:
Screams were the first thing [Y/n] heard when she started regaining consciousness. Then there was the sound of running feet and rubble falling. [Y/n] opened her eyes as quickly as possible and found she was lying in a pile of rubble near some fire. Her whole body ached and she slowly got to her feet glancing around at the mayhem around her. People were running and screaming which she already knew, but she was thrown off to find she was not at school but in a city.
[Y/n] was glad at times like this, in emergency situations, that she could keep calm until the danger has passed then freak out. She ran a hand through her hair and felt something wet and pulled her hand back into her line of sight and saw blood on her fingers. [Y/n] frowned at the realization she was bleeding. That's when a dark shadow fell over her and most of the street suddenly and she looked up. What [Y/n] saw made her fall back onto the rubble she had woken up on in complete and utter shock as she stared at the sky.
"I'm going crazy...This must be some sort of dream," [Y/n] muttered to herself but she knew she was wrong, that and above her Iron Man was leading the chitauri leviathan, spaceship, thingy away from the city.
"Hey! Kid! Get out of there!" someone yelled finally noticing the random teenager sitting in rubble with fire close to licking her feet. [Y/n] looked up seeing none other than Captain America, which snapped her out her shock especially since there was a chitauri soldier sneaking up on Marvel's Uncle Sam.
"Behind you, mister!" [Y/n] managed to shout and Capt. was able to survive his back. [Y/n] then took her chance to get out of there quickly realizing that just by being there she was changing the timeline of the movie; so she needed to remove herself from the situation before something went seriously wrong.
"Just keep running," [Y/n] said to herself amazed that she could even run so long when she wasn't an active person. Though, she had to skid to a stop once she heard heavy clad boots nearing her and she quickly looked around only seeing a car for cover, so she ran to it quickly and rolled under the taxi. [Y/n] clasped a hand over her mouth and nose to keep herself from breathing loudly. She also had to keep herself from yelping since the metal under the taxi was still hot and every time she touched it burned like hell.
Heavy metal boots marched by and she watched in fear as the last set of heavy boots stopped by the car and knelt down. That's when [Y/n] was met face to face with a chitauri who immediately aimed his gun at her. Before it could pull the trigger, though, it went limp and face planted into the ground. [Y/n] let out a breath she had been holding and rolled out from under the car and stood up.
In the sky, the wormhole was closing and Iron Man was falling out of the sky. [Y/n] nodded and turned back around and looked at the chitauri and burst out laughing. The now-dead chitauri looked as if he face planted while doing the yoga downward dog pose.
"Oh, man, if only if I had a phone, then that would be my screen saver," [Y/n] said to herself and put her hands in the pockets of her red hoodie and sighed. She now had the problem of finding a way back home while also trying not to alter this timeline.
"This going to suck!" [Y/n] groaned and walked off to go find a refugee camp or maybe raid a store for food since she was starving.
