How Dabi met a vigilante

Summary:

Dabi was now Sato Aoi. He worked at a local coffee shop, and lived in one room apartment. His scars were now cover with surgery, and now the areas were now a shade or two lighter than his skin tone. His hair that he completely shaved was now two or theee inches, and white. They didn’t have to change his appearance much other wise since he change his original appearance so much. He now looked like Touya Todoroki, a man long since dead, and forgotten.

Notes:

This is a little more violent than my other works.

Work Text:

Dabi was now Sato Aoi. He worked at a local coffee shop, and lived in one room apartment. His scars were now cover with surgery, and now the areas were now a shade or two lighter than his skin tone. His hair that he completely shaved was now two or theee inches, and white. They didn’t have to change his appearance much other wise since he change his original appearance so much. He now looked like Touya Todoroki, a man long since dead, and forgotten.

He was now ready for a quiet life, though he wish it was with Keigo. Sure he still wanted his pissstain of a sperm donor dead. Though, now he came to terms that him being outcasted by society was going have to just as good. He still held Stain ideals, but since Endeavor was out of the picture he didn’t feel the need to enforce them.

He didn’t feel bad about ratting out the league. He didn’t give two shits about them. He thought all they cared about violence, and not about Stain’s ideals. They were all a means to an end. Sure he loved watching everything burn, but it was so much better when it was a purpose. Plus people listen better when things weren’t pointless.

So how did Dabi go from being a big bad at the LoV/PLF to an assistant to the vigilante/hacker/ activist(?).

It started when he was sick of his neighbor listening to dubstep at four in the fucking morning.

His neighbor was named... look he didn’t remember, but he hated the dickhead. Not only did he have the gull to introduce himself to when Dabi was unpacking. The bicth ass motherfucker brought him a fucking tuna casserole. Like he was a middle age white woman. Then the asshat played dubstep in the early morning. Sure once was enough to send someone into a homicidal rage, but Dabi was (trying to be) a change man so he didn’t kill him. He just passive aggressively put headphones onto the guys welcome mat.

Then it kept on happening for three fucking weeks.

By then it should be legal to kill the guy.

Ok, ok he didn’t kill the guy, but he did plan on breaking into the guy’s house. Then destroying everything that even looked like it could be dubstep. Dabi didn’t do that either, because he was a new person (though he did step on the guy’s toes when he saw him next).

Though like the normal person he was he snuck onto the guys balcony when he heard a guy and a woman he’s never heard before yell at each other.

“Tell me what you know,” yelled the woman “I saw your laptop. What do you know about the Paranormal Liberation Front, if you lie to me again I’ll break your nose,”

That got his attention.

“Tomura Shigaraki killed Twice,” he said unsteady “I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who was there,”

‘Well that was a big bunch of bullshit’

“I know that’s a big bunch of bullshit,” the woman yelled

After a moment he heard a big crack.

‘The girl knew her stuff’

“It’s what my source told me I swear,” the man sobbed

“I know you know something,” she yelled back

“Dabi,” the man sobbed even harder

Now Dabi was really listening.

“He was killed by Toga,”

‘Ok now he knew this guy was totally full of shit,’

“Don’t fucking lie to me again or I’ll break your arm and stomped on your micro dick,” she yelled back.

He decided this girl was ok.

“Dabi,” he sobbed “is dead. I dunno how he was killed, but he’s dead,”

He heard a nasty crack

“Why did you do that,” he scream/ sobbed “I told the truth,”

“For wasting my fucking time,” she yelled back

She then open the sliding glass door and out to the rain. By the time she got there Dabi was gone. Back into his apartment.

The second time he saw- well heard the girl was when he was out on the street.

You see he was being mugged.

Yup him, the Dabi, was being fucking mugged. These two guys had a gun on him. The taller one’s hand was shaking. The other one’s body language told didn’t tell him anything, but his eyes told him a different story. He was scared, more scared even than the other one.

Dabi sighed and just looked at them totally bored. He wonder if it would be worth the hassle to fight them, or give them his money. Then a girl about 5’2 dropped out of nowhere and kick the guys asses.

He only realized it was her was her when she asked him if he was ok. For the first time he actually took the time to look at her. She had tinted googles and pink long sleeve crop top with gray accents. She had pink bike cycle type shorts with gray accents. On her knees and elbows were protected pads. Her shoes looked like they were rollerblades(?). Her hair was light blue.

If he didn’t hear her threaten his neighbor he would have thought she was a pro hero.

“What’s your name?” He asked

“Flash bang,” she said to cheerfully

Was it the same girl?

“Thanks,” he said “for that and for my neighbor. He’s full of shit,”

He walked off without saying anything else and didn’t wait for a response.

Dabi was working as a barista. He surprisingly didn’t hate it. Yeah he hates talking and dealing with people. Though making drinks weren’t to bad.

Then he saw a girl with shoulder length light blue hair with bangs. She had on a red crop top and black leggings.

He recognized her as Flashbang.

When he looked at her he saw in her eyes a brief flash of recognition. Then she quickly cover that, and when he looked next she only saw him as a stranger.

Interesting.

She order a chi tea latte and left without saying anything.

Only thing he gain was her name.

Akira.

The next time he meet her was when she showed up at his apartment.

He heard knocking on his door and load a behold. There she was.

“You’re an very interesting man that nobody wants me to know about. May I come in?”

Even though she asked there was no room for argument. She skipped right in and took a seat on his couch.

“Y’know,” she said when he sat down on the couch, “I kept on seeing you and I looked you up. Just to make sure you weren’t a creep or anything. Turns out Sato Aoi is a very interesting man. Is that what I should call you? You have so many names,”

“You don’t know what your talking about,” he said with a poker face.

“You sure Dabi?”

“Isn’t that the guy who was apart of the league of villains or some shit like that?”

“Or maybe you’ll response to Touya?”

That one made him flinch.

“Oooo I hit a nerve,” she cooed

“What do you want?” He asked

“Clearly I can’t trust people’s info on villains. I want you to verify my info,”

“You clearly don’t know how much villains change within a few days. My info will be obsolete within two months, if it is t already.”

“That’s we’re you’re wrong,” she said

“How so,” he raised his eyebrow

“You know how villains work. While I’m not a hero I’m also not a villain. So if I have someone who knows the business, then I have a leg up,” she explained

“What’s your motives,”

“I don’t want to be a hero, they’re full of shit,” she said “ I just want to do good, so I’m doing it my way. It might be just a smidge illegal, whatever,”

“What do you got on me if I don’t work with you?”

“Well since your here I’m guessing you made a deal with the government. I’ll be honest I couldn’t get everything on you. Your here for a reason and I’m guessing you want to have a quiet life,”

“Sure,” he deeply sighed “I’ll help you,”

“Really!” She yelled and just about broke his ear drums “yay, meet me here at this time and we’ll get to work,”

What did he sign himself up for?
