Momo being popular wasn’t something unknown for Shouto. She was one of the smartest girls in the whole school and in the top 3 most beautiful ones. Given that, a considerable amount of students pined after her. Shouto has already felt agitated because of that, but after their performance at the Cultural Festival, her popularity only intensified.
”Here we go again,” Bakugou muttered as they were watching a second year Hero Course student walking up to Momo, trying to confess to her. Shouto narrowed his eyes and heard Midoriya squeak beside him.
”T-todoroki-kun! You’re steaming!” He whispered in panic and Bakugou snorted.
”Of course he is, nerd!” He barked and Deku looked at him. ”Quirks like ours can get out of control when we are agitated like hell!”
”I’m not agitated,” Shouto growled without taking his eyes off of the scene unfolding in front of them.
”Yes, yes, say what you want, IcyHot,” Bakugou said and Shouto sent him a deadly glare from the corner of his eye. It made Bakugou smirk even more.
”I’m deeply sorry,” they heard Momo’s apologetic voice which drew Todoroki’s attention back to her, ”but I’ve already fallen for someone.”
”Please, Momo-chan!” The boy begged, grabbing her wrists. ”Please, at least one date!” He pulled her closer to himself and Shouto snapped.
He was beside them within the blink of an eye, creating an ice wall to shield Momo from the other. In the back of his mind, he registered Midoriya’s panicked voice about using his quirk indoor, but he ignored it. He melted his ice wall, then stepped in front of Momo, outstretching his arm. He glared at the second year with a frown.
”The lady said no,” he said on a dark voice, making the other frightened. ”Piss off, asshole!” He growled and the other boy ran away with his tail between his legs.
”Th-thank you, Todoroki-san!” He heard Momo’s voice behind him and he turned around. The girl looked up at him with a blush on her face, making him blush as well.
”It’s nothing, Yaoyorozu,” he mumbled, looking to the side. ”That guy bothered you and didn’t know where to stop.”
”But still!” Momo spoke up on a higher voice. ”You saved me and most likely got into trouble by using your quirk.” Her lips turned into a kind smile and Todoroki’s blush deepened. ”I am really grateful, Todoroki-san!”
