Chapter 1: PLEASE READ

Chapter Text

Author’s Note: Hi everyone! This is my first story for this site, and I really hope that you will like the story :D

This story will be based off of Transformers: Animated, however it will be AU and will not completely follow the storyline, mainly because I don’t know the entire storyline but know most of the characters in the series.

Also here is a bio of my OC and who the story is going to be based off of :)

Name: Ome (Pronounced O-mey).

Age: Early 30s in human years.

Height: 5ft 5 inches tall.

Faction: Autobot.

Rank: Warrior.

Sexuality: Straight.

Birthplace: Cybertron.

Creator(s): Omega Supreme (Sire).

Accent: British.

Personality: She is seen as quiet and shy around those she doesn’t know, even weary at times, but once she gets to know them she is friendly and can even be cheeky at times, but she can be fierce against the enemy, so she is not one to be underestimated.

Appearance: She has a strong and slender build and her armour is coloured electric blue with black accents, her optic colour is crystal blue but she has a scar on the right side of her face, so her righ optic is slightly lighter and is blind in it. She has audio fins and she has tendrils on her helm, they are swept back and reach down to just above her aft, they are coloured black and the ends coloured electric blue. They are also functional and can be used to grab things, plug into devices, and hack into devices if necessary, but they can also be used as an offensive attack by shocking the enemy. On her forearms are two powerful blasters, and she has a battle mask that covers her nose and mouth when in battle, but it can be retracted when not in battle.

Background: She was the last Sparkling born from Vector Sigma, unusually she had no Creators, so the initial decision was for her to be sent to the Youth Sectors. However the Autobot Guardian, Omega Supreme, did not want her to be without a family, so he decided right then and there to take her on as his own. He formed a family bond with her and raised her to the femme she is today, the two share a close Sire/Daughter relationship and she would always be seen with him, she would even team up with him as a last line of defence, other times she would be called in beforehand or to battles her Sire wasn’t needed in. After the last battle on Cybertron, and after Omega had to be put into a modified stasis from severe injuries, she went with the Autobots to Earth to search for the AllSpark.

Human Appearance: She looks to be in her early 30s with a strong and slender build, her eye colour is the same crystal blue as her optics, but she has the same scar on the right side of her face, so the skin on that side is slightly lighter and rougher texture. Her hair is long and reaches to just above her aft and is coloured black, but the ends are dip-dyed electric blue. She usually wears a black t-shirt with a black and blue jacket on top, she also wears a pair of black combat jeans with a blue belt, along with blue and black trainers.

Likes: Music, Spending time with friends and family.

Fear(s): Loosing her Sire, pitch black darkness, creepy crawlies and lightning.

Now the other thing you need to know is about Omega Supreme, in the series Perceptor talks about how he has a ‘simple processor’,and Ratchet becomes his mentor bot. However in this story it will be different, if you have seen the Transformers G1 episode ‘The Secret Of Omega Supreme’, then you will know that he had a past with the Constructicons. I wanted TFA Omega to have the same past, the only difference is that there wouldn’t have been a Robosmasher so Omega wouldn’t have had his emotions effected, instead he would not be as quick to trust and no one would know of that part of his past, only Ome when she was an adult. So Omega would be a lot older, he wouldn’t have a ‘simple processor’, and he would have more experience in the war, despite his younger-looking appearance, and he would have battle scars as well. He would have worked under the Elite Guard initially, until after the destruction of Crystal City (because of the Constructicons) where he would have had a new duty in being a last line of defence because of the war starting, Autobot Guardians are well respected and have leeway on who they want to follow orders from, and Omega had decided to join the Autobots as it worked out better for him. He would be the oldest Autobot Guardian and there would have been eleven others (search Omega Sentinels on Google), but now there are only two left, himself and Sigma Supreme who is the youngest and works for the Elite Guard, he would follow only Ultra Magnus’ orders, while Omega would only follow Optimus’ orders.

Omega would have met Ratchet after one of the battles near the early years of the war after he had sustained an injury (at this point he would be an Autobot rather than an Elite Guard), and it would have taken Omega a while to trust Ratchet as a friend, he already respected him as a Medic and would allow him to treat him. So in this story, Omega and Ratchet would be old friends rather than mentor and student.

Another thing is the weapons Omega has, in the cartoon he can’t retract his weapons, but in this story he can retract his weapons which would reveal his hands, it would make things easier for him when it comes to raising Ome.

There is one more thing to be aware of, Omega would have PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) because of the betrayal and the battles he has seen, it would make sense. If this makes you uncomfortable, I apologise and would recommend you to not read this story if you feel it will be triggering for you, the last thing I want is to make anyone feel uncomfortable, so please read at your own discretion. But despite what he has, Omega loves his daughter and does do a great job taking care of her.

Also here are the personalities of each of the Autobot Guardians, just as a disclaimer it isn't head-canon to the TFA series, this is my own take on their personalities. So in age order, their personalities are:

Omega Supreme - The quiet one, hard time trusting, a bit serious, cares about his family, has a wit to him, someone one would not want to anger, will stand up for his family.

Alpha Supreme - Relatively quiet but not as much as Omega, calm, tactical, is sometimes the voice of reason, cares about his family and will stand up for them.

Beta Supreme - Cares about his family, relatively quiet, surprisingly he can be a little shy at times but will stand up for his family.

Gamma Supreme - Boisterous, likes to tease and have a laugh, a bit loud at times, cares about his family, says it how it is, will stand up for his family, is prone to swearing.

Delta Supreme - Likes to have a laugh, is relatively talkative and is Beta's voice sometimes, cares about his family and will stand up for them.

Epsilon Supreme - Relatively talkative, cares about his family, likes to tease every now and then, will stand up for his family.

Zeta Supreme - Boisterous, loud, likes to tease and have a laugh, says it how it is, is prone to swearing...a lot, cares about his family and will stand up for them.

Eta Supreme - Likes to have a laugh, likes to tease every now and then, cares about his family and will stand up for them.

Theta Supreme - Likes to tease every now and then, likes to have a laugh, cares about his family and will stand up for them.

Iota Supreme - Cheeky, likes to tease and have a laugh, cares about his family and will stand up for them, talkative.

Kappa Supreme - Sweet, cares about her family, a little talkative, will stand up for her family, a little sensitive.

Sigma Supreme - Chatty, bubbly, likes to tease and have a laugh, serious in battle, cares about his family and will stand up for them, is the unofficial favourite of Ultra Magnus.

Ultra Magnus does respect all the Autobot Guardians, but he has a soft spot for Sigma, which is no secret amongst the Guardians.

So I think that is everything, if you do have any questions, feel free to either PM me or leave a review, thanks for reading! The first chapter will come after this :D

Hello” Thoughts.

It was a miracle, no Sparkling had been born from Vector Sigma for a long time, most had even lost hope of seeing another Sparkling because of the seemingly endless war. But there she was, lying on a soft blue blanket, Omega Supreme couldn’t help but stare in near awe at the Sparkling, she was incredibly small! Her armour was coloured electric blue with black accents and she had a good slender build despite her being a newborn, her optics were currently closed so no one knew what colour her optics were yet, but what was unique about her was what was on her helm, tendrils. They were coloured black, however they weren’t fully developed just yet and only came to the bottom of her helm, she also had audio fins.

Ultra Magnus and Alpha Trion both regarded the tiny Sparkling, there was no denying that she was a miracle, but she had no family bond with anyone, no Creators to take care of her “She is a miracle, but the fact remains that she has no Creators” Alpha Trion said.

“We could send her to the Youth Sectors” Ultra Magnus suggested “I’m sure they would be happy to have her”

Omega looked to them when he heard them talk about sending the Sparkling to the Youth Sectors, he did not want that for her, she would be alone with no family “She doesn’t deserve that” he thought, making a decision right then and there on what he was going to do, he spoke up “I will take her”

Ultra Magnus and Alpha Trion turned to look up at him in surprise “But Omega you’re an Autobot Guardian, what if you’re called into battle?” Ultra Magnus asked.

“I will work something out, I do not want her at the Youth Sectors, she doesn’t deserve that” Omega replied “she deserves at least a Sire in her life”

“Are you certain about this?” Alpha Trion asked.

“Yes” Omega replied firmly, clearly set on his decision and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

Neither Ultra Magnus or Alpha Trion could really argue with him on it, Autobot Guardians were well respected because of their duty to protect Cybertronian lives, especially innocent lives, they even had leeway on who they wanted to follow orders from “Well then Omega, if you feel it is right, then we can only respect your decision” Alpha Trion relented.

“No one else must know about this Sparkling, I fear the Decepticons could use her as blackmail should they find out she is family to you” Ultra Magnus added “perhaps when she is old enough, you will have discretion on whether anyone knows of her or not”

Omega nodded “I understand” he replied before he approached the Sparkling and knelt down, he slowly reached down and with a gentleness that few knew he was capable of, lifted the tiny Sparkling into his right hand. She looked even smaller if that was even possible.

The Sparkling made a tiny noise as she moved a little from the warmth of the giant hand she lay on, and finally her optics opened, revealing a beautiful crystal blue colour. She looked up at him and made a few clicks and chirps.

Omega couldn’t help the soft smile that came to his lips, when was the last time he had smiled? Oh he knew when, but he pushed that thought to the back of his processor, not wanting that memory to ruin this moment.

“What will you name her?” Alpha Trion asked “she doesn’t have a name yet”

Omega thought a moment before a name came to him, it would not only sound feminine, but it would have the first three letters of his name “Ome” he responded softly.

Notes:

So for clarity, Ome as a newborn would be the size of a newborn baby on Earth, so you can probably imagine how tiny she would be in Omega’s hand, but you can’t deny how adorable it is :D

Chapter 3: Sacrifices Have To Be Made

Summary:

It is true what they say about a Creator's love for their Sparkling, Omega will do anything to keep Ome safe from being aware of the war.

Notes:

Hey everyone! Here is the second chapter, enjoy! :D

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello"Speaking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

It had been a month since Omega had took Ome on as his own, and he definitely did not regret his decision, yes his daughter was incredibly small, but just seeing the way she lit up whenever she saw him and feeling how much she adored him, because of their family bond, always brightened his day and he couldn't imagine his life without her now. By this point his daughter could crawl, so she could get anywhere with her small size, but with Omega being Omega, he would lock areas that he considered dangerous, like the supply room for example as he knew that anything in there could fall on her and crush her, he wasn't exactly small himself. But with his daughter being a curious Sparkling, she did tend to hide, the only mercy was that he always made sure to lock the door to his base so if she did do a disappearing act on him she at least wouldn't be outside.

On this particular day, his daughter had done another disappearing act on him, even though he knew in the back of his processor that the main door was locked he still checked it anyway, he had to be careful when he walked incase she jumped out at him to 'scare' him "Ome, where are you?" he said as he looked around, a little worried but not majorly.

A small giggle was heard, it sounded a little far but definitely inside the base.

Omega paused when he heard the giggle and looked in her quarters first.

Everything in Ome's quarters was small by Omega's standards, but for her it was ideal, the walls were coloured a dark blue colour and the floor was black. There was a crib where she slept, inside it was a soft blue blanket she had laid on when she had been born, there was a small toy box that had some Sparkling toys in it, which had been kindly given to him by Ultra Magnus and Alpha Trion, and there was a TV on the wall that mostly showed Sparkling shows due to her young age.

Omega scanned the room but didn't pick up her signature "Are you in here?" he asked.

Another muffled giggle was heard, it was clearly coming from next door, Omega's office.

Omega sighed and rubbed his helm, his daughter could be anywhere in his office, he mainly used it to either write reports or to look them over, which he would only do either in the mornings when his daughter hadn't woken up yet, or after he had put her down to recharge for the night, it depended on how tired he was. But Optimus never rushed him for a report, despite not knowing about Ome. With another sigh, he walked out his daughter's quarters to his office next door, he should have locked his office but he didn't think she would go in there, at least not without him, he did sometimes keep her with him if there was an urgent report to either write or look at, he didn't want to leave her on her own at her age. He walked into his office and looked around.

Omega's office was clean, warm and welcoming, there was a large desk and chair where he sat to write or look over reports, there was also a few shelves on the wall that mostly had decorative stuff on it from the Golden Age of Cybertron, there were some pictures on the wall of Crystal City before the war, and some of Omega and his fellow Autobot Guardians, he did have pictures of his daughter but they took pride and place on the walls in his quarters, plus the fact that no one is supposed to know about her at the moment, but he would at least introduce her to his Autobot Guardian family at some point.

Omega glanced around "Ome" he said.

A click and chirp was heard, she was definitely in here.

Omega smirked a little and walked to stand in the middle of his office "I'll find you Ome" he said in a sing-song voice.

Another giggle and shuffling was heard, clearly she was trying to hide more.

Omega looked to his desk and walked round it, he carefully pulled his chair out and knelt down, he looked under and saw a tiny blue ball, a giggling tiny blue ball. He smirked and reached under, he carefully gathered her up in his hand.

Ome made a small squeak before she laughed as she was brought up to her Sire's face.

"Thought you could hide from me?" Omega asked with a smirk as he got to his feet.

Ome chirped and clicked.

"You always try to hide, but I always find you" Omega said and smirked.

Ome giggled before a large finger gently stroked her cheek, she purred.

Omega smiled, then his com-link beeped and he answered it "Omega here" he said.

"Omega we need your help, the Decepticons are starting to overpower us" the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, replied and sent him the co-ordinates.

"On my way" came Omega's clipped response before the call ended, he looked to his daughter who looked up at him curiously "well Ome, it's that time again"

Ome tilted her helm, not quite sure what he meant.

Omega opened his chestplates and his Spark Chamber, revealing his large icy blue Spark.

Ome cooed a little as she was drawn to the Spark like a moth to a flame, she crawled from his hand into his Spark Chamber.

Omega made sure she was secure before he closed his Spark Chamber and chestplates, he knew she wouldn't be knocked about if he moved around, he then made his way out of the base. Once outside he transformed into his ship mode and took off for the battle, this was the only option he had as he couldn't leave his daughter at the base by herself and he couldn't ask anyone to keep an optic on her either. So the best plan he had was to hide her in his Spark Chamber and just be more careful in battles, but there was another thing he would do, he would conceal any negative emotions or pain from their bond, this was so his daughter wouldn't be aware if he sustained an injury or if he was feeling worried, frustrated or stressed, this was to protect her from the harsh reality of war until she was old enough to understand. He knew that if he continued to conceal like this it would become a hard-wired habit, something that he would end up doing subconsciously even outside of battles if he was feeling any negative emotions, but it was a sacrifice that he would take if it kept his daughter safe and innocent for a while longer, before the harsh reality of war would set in and take that innocence away, now he knew what others meant when they would say how special a Creator's love for their Sparkling is, he would protect her with his life if it meant she would be safe. He came out of his thoughts as he saw the battlefield up ahead, he had a duty as an Autobot Guardian to protect Cybertronian lives, especially innocent lives, but most importantly, his daughter.

Notes:

Second chapter done! :D

So the reason I had Omega hide Ome in his Spark Chamber is because it's the most protected area and it would take a lot for someone to try and get into it, Autobot Guardians are made of some strong stuff :)

Chapter 4: Worth Fighting For

Summary:

Some things are worth fighting for, and for Omega, his daughter was worth everything.

Notes:

Here's the third chapter, enjoy! :D

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Speaking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

A year later and Ome was now a year old, she had grown a bit and her tendrils were a little longer, now reaching to just above her shoulders, but they were not fully developed as of yet. But her arms and legs were a bit stronger than what they used to be, so in essence she could walk if she put her mind to it, but so far that hadn't happened yet. As for talking, she mostly made Sparkling noises or would babble, but again she was at that age where she could possibly say her first word, it hadn't happened yet. But all that would change.

One day Omega was having a rest on the couch that was ideal for his size, he had sustained an injury to his left shoulder from the last battle, he called it a lucky shot. It was quite sore but he had refused painkillers when his old friend, Ratchet, had asked him. The Medic had tried to argue with him on it, but of course it was futile, he didn't know the reason behind it.

And that reason was Ome, Omega knew that he would be drowsy from the painkillers and he couldn't be like that around his daughter, what if he accidentally fell on her? Or what if something happened to her and he would be too drowsy to help her? So rather than risk that, he would deal with the pain and just conceal it from the bond like he always did, he did have a high pain tolerance anyway. He sighed a little and rubbed his helm, he already had quite a few battle scars on him from the countless battles he had been in, heck he had seen the start of the war, not many could say that as they were born during the war and it was all they knew, and not for the first time, Omega wished that the war would just end and the peace from the Golden Age would return. He came out of his sullen thoughts when he heard a tweet and looked to his daughter who was in the doorway to the Rec Room, he smiled "Hello Ome" he greeted "I thought you were playing?"

Ome chirped a little and sat on her aft, she looked down at herself and put her hands on the floor.

Omega tilted his helm a little as he watched her "What are you doing?" he asked, had she sensed his sad thoughts from the bond? No she couldn't have, he concealed it, at least he hoped he did.

Ome shifted positions so she was on her hands and knees, but rather than crawl she did something her Sire didn't expect, she slowly planted her little feet on the ground and started to stand up straight. She wobbled a little as she did so.

Omega watched her, his mouth open slightly from shock, was his daughter trying to stand?

Ome chirped as she stood, she did wobble slightly here and there but other than that she was stable on her feet.

Omega shook his helm a little to snap out of his stupor "Ome...you're standing" he said and got up.

Ome clicked and chirped happily.

Omega couldn't help but grin, he then knelt down "Can you walk to me?" he asked "come to me Ome"

Ome looked down at her feet and beeped, clearly she was unsure.

"It's alright, I'm right here" Omega replied softly "hold out your arms like this" he held out his arms either side of him, it did twinge the new scar when he did that but he didn't react to it, the only sign he showed was tensing slightly, but he was more focused on helping his daughter to walk to him, this was a Sparkling milestone.

Ome copied her Sire in holding out her arms either side of her and gingerly put one foot forward.

"That's it, now the other" Omega encouraged as he lowered his arms.

Ome slowly put her other foot forward, she babbled a little and tweeted.

"Keep coming to me Ome" Omega encouraged and held out a hand to her.

Despite being a little wobbly, Ome clumsily toddled towards her Sire's hand, she could feel his encouragement and happiness from their family bond which seemed to spur her on. She gave a happy squeal as she reached the large hand and flopped onto it.

Omega made sure she was on his hand properly before he brought her up to his face. "You did it, you...you walked" he said, he couldn't seem to stop smiling, but at the same time he was trying not to get emotional from the parental pride he felt for her.

Ome tweeted and chirped as she clapped her little hands, and then she did something else that her Sire didn't expect "Sire" she said in a small voice and smiled happily.

Omega choked out a sob at that, but it wasn't from sadness, he was overjoyed "You talked...you said Sire" he said as he tried to reign his emotions in, but he was just so happy.

Ome clicked and put her tiny hands on the red-tinted transparent face shield that was over her Sire's face "Sire" she said again, as if to give him confirmation that she had talked.

Another choked sob escaped Omega as he lifted his face shield from over his face and he gently hugged her to his cheek.

Ome tweeted and hugged his cheek the best she could.

This was what Omega needed, a reminder of what he was fighting for in this war, he wasn't fighting for his own personal gain. He was fighting for his daughter, to keep her safe and so she could grow up into a kind and strong femme, to have a happy future without the war. He would take whatever the war threw at him, because in his mind, his daughter was worth fighting for.

Notes:

Aw the fluffy feels! ^^

Chapter 5: New Lows

Summary:

The Decepticons are capable of many things, but now they had reached a new low that no one thought they would ever do.

Notes:

I couldn't think of a better title XD

Now this chapter is going to be a bit more intense compared to the previous ones, there will be mentions of offlined Sparklings and Younglings, along with mentions of a PTSD flashback, so if you feel that it will be uncomfortable for you, then you don't have to read anymore of this story, I understand :)

So this chapter is set two years after the previous one, so Ome will be three years old :)

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Speaking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

Omega thought he had seen it all in this war, the deaths of Autobots and Decepticons, deaths of civilians, whole cities being decimated, he had seen it enough times to be almost numb to it. But this...this was a whole new thing that made him sick to his stomach, not expecting the Decepticons to do something like this...not to innocent Sparklings and Younglings.

The Youth Sectors had been targeted, it was where Sparklings and Younglings lived if they had no family, where dedicated caretakers would look after them and raise them well. But now, broken and offlined bodies of Sparklings, Younglings, and even caretakers who had tried to protect them, were laid out on the ground.

"How could they do this? Why attack such pure and innocent lives?" Ratchet whispered, he thought he had seen it all, but even he was haunted by the sight.

"They wanted to hit us where they knew it would hurt us" Optimus replied quietly as they searched for any survivors, for any form of miracle that maybe one little one had survived such a slaughter, it made a big impact on everyone. But none of them knew the impact this had on Omega.

This hit too close to home for Omega, his now three year old daughter was in his Spark Chamber, completely oblivious as to what was going on. He was doing his best to conceal his negative emotions from the bond "How could they do this? Primus if I hadn't have adopted Ome..." he suppressed a shudder at the thought, his daughter could have been one of the Sparklings and Younglings killed! He clenched his fists to keep his raging emotions at bay, he couldn't let his daughter feel what he was feeling, she would worry and he didn't want that.

"They're...they're all gone Prime...no one survived" Ratchet said quietly, his voice shakey.

Optimus looked down and sighed softly, trying to keep his own emotions at bay "There's nothing more we can do...I'm sorry" he replied quietly.

"Don't blame yourself, the 'Cons were the ones that did this, they've gone to an all new low" Ratchet replied.

Optimus nodded and looked up at Omega who was looking at the devastation without expression "I can't imagine how hard this must be for you Omega, your kind protect innocent lives, but...just know that it's not your fault either" he said as the large mech looked to him.

"I know Optimus, this just shows that the Decepticons will stop at nothing to hit us where it hurts the most, even if it involves innocent lives" Omega replied "Ratchet is right, they've hit a new low that none of us could have predicted...permission to leave?"

Optimus nodded and gave a small smile "Of course, thanks for coming to help us Omega" he replied "I'm sorry that this battle ended this way" he could have sworn he saw some emotion on the large mech's face, but it was gone just as quick.

"As am I" Omega responded before he gave Optimus a nod out of respect before turning and walking away.

Omega returned to his base and had to hold back a sob, he had to keep it together for his daughter's sake, he lifted his face shield from over his face and wiped his optics before lowering it again. He closed his optics to compose himself, as he did he had a flashback of the destroyed Youth Sectors, the bodies of Sparklings and Younglings, the smell of burning and energon spilled, it was like he was standing there again eventhough he wasn't anymore. He grimaced a little as he tried to force it away, he had to stay in the here and now, he couldn't get lost in the flashback. He opened his optics as the image faded away, he took a deep breath, once he was ready he opened his chestplates and Spark Chamber.

Ome knew that they were home now, she tweeted and crawled onto her Sire's waiting hand, she sat down and looked up at him with a smile "Sire" she said.

Omega smiled a little as he closed his chestplates and Spark Chamber "Hello Ome, you were very good today" he replied "now, it's getting late, so let's get you some energon and take you to bed, alright?"

Ome chirped and nodded "Love Sire" she replied.

"I love you too, very much, never forget that" Omega replied softly.

Ome blinked, a little puzzled, but she smiled anyway as she did love her Sire very much too "I love you very much too, don't forget" she said and gave her usual sweet, innocent grin.

Omega did well to keep his emotions at bay, his daughter wouldn't be aware of his emotional turmoil that he was dealing with internally, he knew tonight would be rough for him.

Notes:

I hope that I didn't offend anyone with how I wrote Omega's PTSD flashback, I tried to make it as accurate as I could.

So yeah this chapter is darker than the previous ones, the story will have a mixture of good and bad things, but I think this chapter is probably the most intense one.

Chapter 6: Never Swear In Front Of A Sparkling

Summary:

Omega really should have known better than to swear in front of his daughter.

Notes:

This'll be a lighter chapter compared to the previous one, and it continues on from it too :)

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Speaking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

Omega was exhausted, physically and mentally, he had been an emotional wreck most of the night after the events that had transpired the evening before, he was tempted to stay in his berth. But he wasn't selfish like that, he had his daughter to take care of, he could feel her waking up through their family bond and heaved himself up off his berth. He walked into the wash racks, that were attached to his quarters, to freshen up before he walked out to see his daughter.

Ome rubbed her optics with her small hands as she yawned, she gave a stretch and looked up when her door slid open, she smiled happily when she saw her Sire walk in "Sire!" she said and chirped.

Omega couldn't help but smile, no matter what mood he was in, seeing his daughter always put him in a better mood "Good morning" he replied "did you rest well?" he lowered a hand for her.

Ome tweeted and nodded "Yeah" she replied and climbed into his large band "Sire rest ok?"

Of course Omega hadn't recharged well at all, but he didn't want her worrying "Yes I did" he lied.

That seemed to satisfy Ome and she smiled.

Omega smiled and gently held her to his chest as he walked out her quarters, he walked into the Rec Room and first got his daughter some energon, he couldn't grab the cube himself as it was so small, so he had taught her to grab it "There you go" he said.

Ome chirped and grabbed the cube.

Omega then got himself some energon, he fancied some warm energon, so he changed the temperature. But when he had a lot on his mind, in this case the destruction of the Youth Sectors, he had a habit of making his energon too hot. He grabbed the cube once it was full and sat down on the couch, he lifted his face shield from over his face and took a swig of his energon, he grimaced when he realised it was too hot and ended up burning his mouth, he had to swallow the energon he had in his mouth as he couldn't spit it out "Frag" he cursed.

"Frag" a small voice repeated.

Omega looked down at his daughter in shock, did she just say what he think she said? "What did you just say?" he asked, eventhough he had heard her perfectly well, his processor seemed to have froze when he heard it.

"Frag" Ome replied and giggled.

Omega wanted to slap himself, how could he have cursed in front of a Sparkling? He should know better than that, he knew Sparklings liked to repeat the things they hear from their Creators sometimes, he put his cube of energon down to let it cool down before pinching the bridge of his nose with his left hand "Ome...you cannot repeat words like that" he said.

Ome blinked "But you said it" she replied.

"Yes but I'm allowed to, I'm an adult, you're not" Omega replied as he moved his hand from his face "you cannot say that word, alright?"

Ome thought about that "I say bad word?" she asked.

"Yes, so please don't say that again if you hear me say it, ok?" Omega replied softly, though he would definitely do his best not to curse in front of his daughter again.

Ome chirped and smiled "Ok Sire" she replied.

Omega sat back on the couch as he breathed a sigh of relief and rubbed his helm wearily with his left hand, lesson learned, never curse in front of a Sparkling, else they will repeat it and knock a century off of you from shock.

Notes:

Poor Omega XD

So this one was more lighthearted, and cute too ^^

Chapter 7: First Fly, First Near Spark Attack

Summary:

Omega found out the hard way that his daughter could in fact fly.

Notes:

So this is set two years after the previous chapter, so Ome would be five years old :)

This is more of a funny one XD

Two years later and Ome was now five years old, she was a sweet little Sparkling and definitely had some traits from her Sire, which could have come about when they formed a family bond when she had been a newborn, of course she couldn't remember that but she loved her Sire.

One day Omega took his daughter outside, but he didn't take her too far from the base, he wanted her to experience at least some of the outside world, even if said world was war-torn, the only mercy was that there were not any battles going on, so for once it was peaceful. Not the same peacefulness as from the Golden Age, but it was some form of peace, he sat down on the ground and gently placed his daughter on the ground.

Ome chirped as she looked around, then at the metal ground, she jumped up and down and giggled.

Omega chuckled softly as he watched her, seeing his daughter's innocence always seemed to help him forget, just for a moment, the stress and worry of the war. Not that he couldn't deal with it, but it was good to have a distraction from it from time to time.

Ome then felt something on both of her feet and blinked, she sat on the ground and looked at the bottoms of her feet and saw...thrusters? She tilted her helm, more curious than anything else, she slowly stood up and tried to think of how to activate them "Fly! Fly!" she thought, without really knowing, she had sent a mental command to activate the thrusters. She felt herself lift off the ground as she floated up, she laughed.

Omega came out of his thoughts when he heard his daughter's laughter, wondering what had amused her so much, he had to do a double take as his mouth went agape. His daughter was floating! And then he saw why she was floating "She has thrusters?!" he thought.

Ome laughed "Sire! I'm flying!" she said with a smile, she continued to float up.

Omega had to gently catch her before she floated out of his reach, yes he was 400 feet tall and yes he could fly in bipedal mode, but he wasn't exactly expecting his daughter to have the ability to fly. He had to calm his racing Spark.

Ome giggled "I flied Sire!" she said, throwing her small arms up in delight.

It took Omega a few moments to form a response, and even then he said "Flew" he cleared his vocals "I think you mean you flew, Ome"

Ome seemed to ponder that as she lowered her arms, before she grinned "I flew Sire!" she replied.

"Yes you did, you certainly did" Omega said, almost wearily "next time you're flying inside the base until you're old enough to control your thrusters better" he pointed a large finger at her "that clear?"

Ome giggled and grabbed the large finger the best she could "Ok Sire" she replied and let go of his finger "I flew!"

"Yes sweetspark....yes you did" was all Omega could say as a response as he rubbed his helm wearily, feeling a century older than he was from his near Spark attack.

Notes:

I did think that maybe Omega would occasionally call Ome 'sweetspark' as a form of family affection :)

Also I'm not 100% sure on how tall Omega is in TFA, so I just made a guess :)

Chapter 8: Hilarity

Summary:

It's never a dull moment for Omega having his daughter around.

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Speaking through the bond.

"Hello" Thoughts.

It had been a few days since Omega had found out that his daughter could fly, the hard way might he add, and he had come to accept it. Yes it had given him a near Spark attack at the time, and he swore he felt a century older from it, but he reasoned with himself that it could come in handy when she got older, of course he hoped his daughter would never have the need to fight in battle, but with the way the war was looking it was unlikely that it would end anytime soon. It was an unsettling thought, but the best he could do was give his daughter a relatively normal upbringing, not as normal as he would have liked but some form of normalcy. He came out of his thoughts when he heard something, it sounded like a small bump, he frowned when he saw his daughter hovering by the wall rubbing her helm, having clearly bumped into it "Ome? Are you alright?" he asked and got up, he walked towards her.

Ome was trying to fly straight, but since she had only discovered her thrusters a few days ago, it wasn't an easy task. She buzzed a little in irritation "I can't fly" she complained and attempted to fly straight again, but she veered to the left and went straight into the wall once again.

Omega was initially worried that she was hurt, but when she didn't cry and instead rubbed her little noseplate glaring at the wall, he started to feel amused. He really shouldn't be finding this amusing, but his daughter was clearly a resilient Sparkling and a few knocks to the noggin wasn't the end of the world, it just reminded him so much of when a cybermoth would keep bumping into a lightbulb, that mental image made him snicker a little and he had to bite his bottom lip when his daughter gave him an annoyed look, it was so cute and funny on her little face! He cleared his vocals "I'm not laughing sweetspark" he said trying not to let amusement colour his tone.

Ome buzzed a little and tried to fly again, but again she bumped straight into the wall and rubbed her noseplate as she glared at the wall, she turned in midair when she heard her Sire burst out laughing. She looked surprised, she had never heard him laugh before, sure she had heard him chuckle plenty of times, but never laugh until now.

Omega had to sit down on the sofa or risk falling down from laughing so much, he had an arm round his abdomen as he laughed and tears of laughter escaped his optics, he hadn't laughed this much since before the war, it really was true that laughter is the best medicine. In the end he had to lie on the sofa from laughing so much, it was the combination of his daughter's adorable annoyed face, the mental image of a cybermoth bumping into a lightbulb and the fact she had done a fairly similar impression, and her glaring at the wall, all that had sent him into gales of laughter.

Ome couldn't help but giggle and managed to somewhat wobble over in midair and land on her Sire's chest "Sire?" she said.

Omega finally managed to recover from his laughing fit and lifted his face shield from over his face, he got a cloth out of his subspace and had to wipe his optics and face from laughing so much "Oh dear Primus" he said.

"Were you crying?" Ome asked "did I make you sad?"

Primus bless her innocence "No you didn't make me sad Ome, in fact you gave me probably the biggest laugh that I've had in years" Omega replied and smiled.

Ome tweeted and smiled "Oh, ok" she replied "so you're happy?"

"Very happy sweetspark" Omega said and smiled, it was never a dull moment with his daughter around.

Notes:

So a cybermoth is pretty much a Cybertronian version of a moth, whether they actually existed on Cybertron I don't know, but it's never established so I put it in the story anyway :)

Chapter 9: Meeting Someone New

Summary:

Ome gets to meet at least one member of Omega's Autobot Guardian family.

Notes:

I had been debating on whether Ome would get to meet anyone during her childhood, and in the end I decided that she could meet at least one of the Autobot Guardians (or Omega Sentinels if you go by the TFA series) :)

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Speaking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

A year later and Ome was now six years old, she had gotten better at controlling her thrusters so didn't end up going face first into walls anymore, she still wasn't allowed to fly around outside yet. She had sometimes protested, but one look from her Sire would make her stop, it wasn't that she was afraid of him, it was more the fact she didn't want to push her luck with him, plus he had told her that there was a reason behind it and that sometimes bad stuff happened, she wasn't too sure what he meant by 'bad stuff', but he always said that he would tell her when she was old enough to understand.

One day, Omega was in the Rec Room while his daughter was in her quarters playing with her toys, he knew that she didn't have a lot of toys but she always appreciated what she got. He was reading his datapad when the proximity sensor beeped, which made him look up at the screen, he saw a blue dot and knew straight away who it was since he was expecting him. He put his datapad away and got up, he walked to the main door and opened it, he couldn't help but grin a little when he saw his Autobot Guardian brother walk up "The wonderer returns" he couldn't help but tease.

The other Autobot Guardian, named Alpha Supreme, grinned a little himself "Sorry, had a battle to deal with" he replied, his voice sounded just like Omega's.

Omega looked a little concerned "I hope you got checked out before coming here" he replied.

"I did yes, First Aid checked me over and I don't have any injuries" Alpha assured.

Omega smiled and nodded "Good to know" he replied and the two shared a hug "it's great to see you, come on in" he moved aside.

Alpha entered Omega's base and walked over to the couch, he sat down on it almost wearily "Primus I'm getting too old for this" he grumbled.

"I'm older than you and you don't see me complaining" Omega replied with a smirk.

Alpha gave the older Autobot Guardian a mock glare before he sighed "I miss the Golden Age" he murmured.

Omega smiled sadly and gently patted his Autobot Guardian brother's shoulder "I know, I do too" he replied softly before sitting next to him.

"Sire?" a curious but shy voice said through the bond.

Omega looked towards the Rec Room door and saw his daughter peeking in, looking both shy and curious.

Alpha saw him looking at something and followed his gaze, he blinked when he saw a little femme there, she looked at least six years old and her armour was electric blue with black accents. Her optics were crystal blue and she had audio fins, on her helm were black tendrils that came to just below her shoulders "Omega...who is this?" he asked.

Omega smiled and got up "I'll introduce you" he replied and walked over to his daughter.

Ome looked unsure and beeped.

"It's alright sweetspark, don't be shy" Omega said softly through the bond and sent reassurance to her, he then gently gathered her up in his large hand and walked over to sit on the couch.

Ome snuggled close to her Sire's chest as she looked at Alpha, he looked identical to her Sire but was coloured grey and blue, the face shield over his face was a light blue colour and the insignia on his chest was the Elite Guard Insignia.

"Ome this is Alpha, in simple terms he's my brother" Omega said softly before looking to Alpha "Alpha this is Ome...my daughter"

Alpha was surprised at that, he had known Omega the longest out of everyone, even Ratchet, and Omega had never said anything about having a daughter "Your daughter? I didn't know you had a daughter" he replied before choosing his next words carefully "who is...? Do you...?"

Omega understood what his Autobot Guardian brother was hinting at "No I don't have a Bondmate, it's not like that" he replied softly and got a bit more comfortable "Ome was born from Vector Sigma six years ago, there was myself, Ultra Magnus and Alpha Trion, she had no Creators and had I not adopted her she would have been sent to the Youth Sectors...and we both know what happened to the Youth Sectors three years ago" it still haunted him to this day.

Alpha made a face, he knew about the Youth Sectors, all the Autobot Guardians did. He nodded in understanding "You didn't want her to be without a family" he said softly.

Omega nodded "Exactly, she didn't deserve that, so I adopted her and we have a family bond, it's why I've been more careful in battles...I hide her in my Spark Chamber as it's the safest place for her, I couldn't leave her by herself" he explained "and it's why I always refuse painkillers when I do sustain an injury, I can't be drowsy around Ome"

Alpha nodded in understanding, it was a surprise, but he would have done the same thing had he been in Omega's position "You did the best thing for her, and I won't lie she is cute" he replied and smiled "Ome right?"

Omega nodded "I named her" he replied and smiled "her name is spelt with the first three letters of my name"

Alpha couldn't help but grin at that "That honestly doesn't surprise me" he said.

Omega grinned a little and nodded, he looked down at his daughter.

Ome looked to Alpha and chirped, she smiled "Uncle" she said.

"Primus you never said she was adorable too, no wonder you adore her Omega" Alpha said with a smile and carefully stroked the little femme's cheek with a large finger.

Ome purred and smiled.

"You should introduce her to the others, they would adore her, Kappa especially" Alpha suggested.

Omega nodded thoughtfully "I may do that" he replied softly "I guess I've kept this secret for long enough, I want at least you and the others to know of her, and Ratchet as well"

"She's our family, it doesn't matter if she isn't an Autobot Guardian, she is family because she's your Sparkling" Alpha replied softly and smiled.

Omega nodded and smiled, it felt like some weight had been lifted off his shoulders now that he had finally told someone about his daughter, and now that he thought about it, he knew his younger Autobot Guardian siblings would adore Ome too.

Notes:

So I know that in TFA the Omega Sentinels all have the Autobot Insignia, but in my story all but two Autobot Guardians would be in the Elite Guard :)

Alpha Supreme is the second oldest of the Autobot Guardians, with Omega being the oldest, which is why he makes a comment about being 'too old' XD

And if you're wondering what Omega would have been referring to when telling Ome about 'bad stuff' , it's the war :)

Chapter 10: Extended Family

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

A few days later, it was time for Omega to introduce his daughter to the rest of his Autobot Guardian family, a part of him was a little nervous about it since he had kept his daughter a secret for six years, but he knew that the others would understand.

Ome was both nervous and excited to meet more of her family, it was interesting when she had met Alpha Supreme a few days ago and how nice he was, plus her Sire had at least told her that the others would be nice too. She was currently in her Sire's Spark Chamber, her Sire said it was because he didn't want her to get squished since there would be hugging involved between him and his Autobot Guardian siblings, so she just waited patiently for the time she could come out.

Omega walked out of his base and secured it, he took a deep breath before he made his way towards the Elite Guard HQ, it was where the Autobot Guardians who were under the Elite Guard hung out after a shift or on days off, sometimes he himself would visit along with Zeta Supreme, who was the only Autobot Guardian who didn't work under the Autobots or the Elite Guard, he worked under the Wreckers who were more of a rowdy bunch but did protect innocent lives and had no qualms about tearing Decepticons apart, so it did fit well with Zeta's more rowdy personality, but that didn't mean he wasn't good at his job in protecting Cybertronian life.

It took Omega fifteen minutes to approach the Elite Guard HQ, he walked to where he knew the recreational building was for the Autobot Guardians, he saw that the door was slid open halfway so he knew they were in there and knew Alpha would have told them he was coming. He approached the half open door and peered his head in "Knock knock" he joked as he grinned a little.

"Hey! Good to see you Omega" Gamma Supreme said with a smile, he had a similar personality to Zeta.

"Hey! How's it going Omega?" Zeta greeted as the oldest Autobot Guardian walked in.

"I'm well" Omega replied and smiled, he was always happy to be with his Autobot Guardian family, he gave them all a hug in greeting.

"You don't seem to visit as often Omega, is everything alright with you?" Kappa Supreme asked, she was the only female Autobot Guardian and had a deep feminine voice, but it was more cheerful sounding since she was the second youngest of her Autobot Guardian siblings.

"I've noticed that too" Eta Supreme added as he looked to his eldest Autobot Guardian brother in concern.

"Everything is fine, I can assure you of that" Omega assured them "I just...have had an extra responsibility these past six years"

Alpha of course already knew and gave a knowing smile.

"What kind of responsibility? Is Optimus giving you too much work or something?" Epsilon Supreme asked.

"No nothing like that, it's...different" Omega responded, normally he was quite straightforward with things, he wasn't too sure why he was nervous about this, and he was not ashamed to show his daughter to them, maybe it was his parental instincts that's making him worried.

Either way the other Autobot Guardians, except for Alpha, knew this was out of character for Omega "Omega what's wrong? You never get nervous" Beta Supreme said, after Alpha he had known Omega the longest since he was the third oldest.

"Are you sure you're alright?" Iota Supreme asked.

"Yeah I've never known you to get nervous" Delta Supreme added.

"You're usually more straightforward" Theta Supreme said.

Omega chuckled slightly, looking a little sheepish "I know" he replied before he took a deep breath "alright, I will show you what...or rather who...has been my responsibility for the past six years" he then opened his chestplates and Spark Chamber, he didn't mind showing his Spark to his Autobot Guardian siblings, he held his hand up to near his chest, palm up.

The other Autobot Guardians, except Alpha, looked surprised when they see a little femme crawl onto Omega's hand, she was clearly a Sparkling at only six years old and clearly shy "Omega...who is this Sparkling?" Sigma Supreme, the youngest Autobot Guardian, asked.

Omega closed his Spark Chamber and chestplates "This is Ome...my daughter" he replied.

"Daughter?" Eta, Theta and Iota all asked at the same time.

"We never knew you had a daughter" Epsilon said as he stared in slight awe at the little femme.

"Who have you been fragging?" Zeta teased in his usual boisterous way as Gamma snickered.

Omega gave the two a mock glare "It's not like that, aftholes" he replied.

Zeta and Gamma both snickered and grinned.

"Ome was born from Vector Sigma six years ago, I was there with Ultra Magnus and Alpha Trion, they were talking about sending her to the Youth Sectors initially" Omega explained.

"Wait, the Youth Sectors got destroyed three years ago...oh Primus, she could have been..." Iota trailed off, not wanting to finish that train of thought.

Omega nodded "I know, I didn't want her to be without a Sire, so I adopted her and I had to keep her a secret should the Decepticons ever find out, but I felt that it was about time she met more of her family" he explained and smiled.

"Well there's no denying that she's a pretty little femme" Zeta said with a smile.

Ome had a faint blush on her faceplates as she giggled.

Kappa giggled "Aw Primus she is so adorable" she said "and Ome is such a beautiful name"

Omega nodded and smiled "It is, it's spelt with the first three letters of my name" he replied.

"Heh, that doesn't surprise me" Gamma replied with a smirk.

Omega grinned a little before he looked down at his daughter "Ome these are my brothers and sister" he said "you know Alpha already" he gestured to Alpha.

"Nice to see you again Ome" Alpha said and smiled.

Ome gave a shy wave and smiled.

"The others are Beta, Gamma, Delta, Epsilon, Zeta, Eta, Theta, Iota, Kappa and lastly Sigma" Omega said as he gestured to each Autobot Guardian as he said their names.

Ome looked a little awestruck, all of them looked just like her Sire except they had different colour schemes and had the Elite Guard Insignia on their chests, except for Zeta who had the Wrecker Insignia on his chest. She gave a shy wave.

"She is a beautiful Sparkling" Eta said with a smile.

"Yeah she clearly adores you Omega" Theta added and smiled.

"You've done great with her" Delta said with a smile.

"Um...how come she is so small?" Sigma asked hesitantly.

"I'm not sure of that myself, but what I am sure of is that her spirit is as big as ours" Omega replied and smiled.

"Can I hold her? I have to have a closer look, she's just so cute" Kappa said with a smile.

"Can I as well?" Iota asked.

The other Autobot Guardians piped up as well, asking for a chance to hold their niece.

Omega smiled and looked down at his daughter "Do you want that Ome?" he asked softly.

Ome nodded and smiled.

"Alright, please be careful with her" Omega said to his Autobot Guardian siblings as he handed his daughter over to Kappa since she had asked first.

"We will, don't worry" Beta assured.

Omega nodded, he smiled as he watched his daughter be gently passed to each Autobot Guardian, it really warmed his Spark seeing them so accepting of his daughter and it did seem to boost their moral too since what happened to the Youth Sectors three years ago, it had certainly boosted his moral that's for sure.

Notes:

So I thought that I would have Zeta have the Wrecker Insignia since I found on the TF wiki that he was pretty much the home of the Wreckers :)

As for their personalities, it's never really mentioned what their personalities are, so I gave them their own personalities :)

Chapter 11: Sparkday Surprise

Summary:

Becoming a Youngling was a Cybertronian milestone, and Omega knew just the thing that would make Ome's day the best day ever.

Notes:

So my head-canon for Cybertronian ages is that when a Sparkling turns 10 years old that's when they become a Youngling, and when a Youngling turns 30 that's when they officially become an adult :)

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Speaking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

It was official, Ome had turned ten years old and was now officially a Youngling, it was a Cybertronian milestone. She was excited to see what today would bring, her Sire had been pretty hush-hush about what he had planned for her special day, sometimes she had even begged him to tell her, but he hadn't budged an inch on it and would tell her that she would find out when the day arrived, well now the day had arrived and she would finally find out what her Sire had planned. She came out of recharge at a decent time that morning, more due to excitement than anything else, and she headed for the Rec Room where she knew her Sire would be.

Omega looked up from reading his datapad and smiled when he saw his daughter "Hello Ome" he greeted and put his datapad away.

"Hi Sire! It's my Sparkday!" Ome replied excitedly and chirped.

Omega laughed a little "Yes it is, happy Sparkday" he replied.

Ome grinned.

"Now, I know I've been pretty secretive about your surprise, I had to make sure that it was possible" Omega said.

Ome nodded and smiled "So what's my surprise?" she asked eagerly.

Omega chuckled "Ok, now I know that one of the things you love learning about is space, so...I'm going to be taking you on a space flight" he replied and smiled.

Ome was delighted "A space flight? Wow!" she replied "thanks Sire!"

Omega chuckled "It's alright" he said.

"How will we fly into space? 'Cause I can fly" Ome replied, she had never seen her Sire's alt mode and didn't even know he could transform.

Omega smirked a little "Don't worry about that, I got it covered" he assured.

Ome chirped and nodded.

"Now you need to have some energon, then once Alpha gets here we can go" Omega said, Alpha had offered to cover for him so he could take his daughter on her space flight for the day, Optimus knew of it and so did Ultra Magnus, this had been planned for the past month.

Ome smiled and tweeted in excitement.

Half an hour later, the proximity sensor was triggered and a blue dot on the screen showed up "Ah, that will be your Uncle Alpha" Omega said and got up, he walked to the main door of his base and opened it.

Ome ran over to join her Sire at the door, she chirped in delight when she saw Alpha walking up "Uncle Alpha!" she said and ran to him.

Alpha grinned a little and lowered a hand for her "Hello Ome, happy Sparkday" he replied and gently lifted her to his chest.

"Thank you" Ome replied with a smile.

"The others wish you a happy Sparkday as well" Alpha said with a smile, referring to the other Autobots Guardians.

"Tell them thanks" Ome replied with a smile.

Alpha smiled and walked up to his older Autobot Guardian brother "Hello Omega" he greeted and gently put his niece down.

"Hello Alpha" Omega replied and smiled, the two Autobot Guardians shared a hug "I appreciate you doing this"

"As I said Omega, Ome will only be ten once and it needs to be celebrated" Alpha replied with a smile as they ended their hug.

Omega nodded and smiled "Alright, well you've been here often enough to know where everything is, if you do have any problems just comm me" he said "and Optimus has your com-link frequency should he need your help with any battles"

Alpha nodded and smiled "I know, don't worry Omega I got it covered, you just go and enjoy your time with your daughter on her Sparkday" he replied and gave his niece a smile.

Ome tweeted and smiled.

Omega nodded and smiled "Alright, Ome come with me" he said and walked out the base to stand outside as Alpha moved to stand in the doorway of Omega's base.

Ome chirped in curiosity as she walked outside to join her Sire.

"Ome move back so your Sire can transform" Alpha said and smiled.

Ome looked puzzled "Transform?" she asked as she moved back.

Omega smiled before he transformed down into his alt mode, a red and yellow Cybertronian ship.

Ome's optics widened in amazement "Wow! Sire is that you?" she asked.

A familiar chuckle came from the ship "Yes Ome it is" Omega responded and opened the airlock "come on inside"

Ome chirped and brought out her thrusters, she activated them and flew up and inside her Sire's alt form, she landed on the ground and looked around in amazement "Wow...I didn't know you could transform Sire" she said.

"I can yes, as I said I got the space flight covered" Omega's voice seemed to come from everywhere in the ship.

Ome looked around in near awe "Wow" she said.

Omega chuckled "Go sit in the control room" he replied.

Ome chirped and her Sire directed her through his alt mode to the main control room, she sat down in one of the seats at the front and was secured.

"Ready to go?" Omega asked.

Ome smiled and nodded eagerly "Let's go see space!" she replied.

Omega chuckled before he activated his engines and started to lift off the ground.

"Have a good time" Alpha said with a smile and gave a wave.

"We will be back this evening" Omega replied.

Alpha gave him the thumbs up "Go enjoy yourselves" he replied with a smile.

"Thank you Alpha" Omega responded before he gradually gained altitude.

It was lucky that Ome wasn't afraid of heights, she was loving the ride "We're so high!" she said.

"We are yes, and we have to go much higher to reach space" Omega replied, a smile clear in his voice "but don't worry, I'll get us up there"

Ome trusted him and smiled, she looked out at the front view window as her Sire gained altitude to reach outer space, she gasped, looking awestruck, there were so many stars! Their colours consisting of either yellow, red or blue "There's blue stars!" she said with a smile.

"Yes there is, those blue stars are the hottest, and see the red ones? They're hot but not as hot as the blue ones" Omega explained.

Ome chirped in awe as she looked at the seemingly endless number of stars "They're pretty" she replied, she then pointed "look! A nebula!"

Omega chuckled softly "It is, do you remember what happens in a nebula?" he asked, he had taught her a decent amount about space and wanted to test her knowledge.

Ome thought a moment "Stars are born?" she asked.

"That's right" Omega responded and smiled "that's the beauty of the universe, if a star were to die, another will take its place"

Ome chirped and nodded as her Sire flew further and further away from Cybertron, she felt like she was on Cloud 9 as her Sire showed her the stars, asteroids and nebulas, she saw something in the distance and pointed to it "Sire what's that?" she asked.

Omega turned his sensors in that direction "Ah, that Ome is a galaxy" he replied "if I remember correctly it's the Milky-Way Galaxy, home to many stars and planets like our galaxy"

"Wow, I got to see a galaxy!" Ome replied with a smile.

Omega chuckled softly "Yes, you did" he said as he continued on his flight through space.

That evening, Alpha looked up from reading his datapad when the proximity sensor was triggered, he knew straight away that it was Omega and Ome returning from their space flight. For Alpha himself it had been a quiet day, there hadn't been any battles but he had had a visit from Optimus to see how he was doing, but other than that it had been peaceful. He got up off the couch and walked to the main door of Omega's base, he opened it and smiled when he saw Omega land "Welcome back" he said as he saw Ome come out "how was it Ome?"

"It was amazing, I had so much fun" Ome replied with a smile and gave a yawn, she was tired from all the excitement of the space flight.

Alpha smiled "I'm glad, you won't forget this day in a hurry" he replied.

"It was the best day ever" Ome replied with a smile as her Sire transformed into his bipedal mode, she looked way up at him and smiled "thanks Sire"

"It's alright Ome, I'm happy that you had a great time" Omega replied and smiled, he was glad that despite the war he still managed to make his daughter's Sparkday special, and it was a day that neither of them would forget.

Chapter 12: Sometimes You Have To Be Stern

Summary:

Younglings can be known to be a little defiant at times, and Omega has to be stern when necessary.

This is set a year after the previous chapter :)

"Hello" Thoughts.

Ome was now eleven years old and she was still a vibrant and happy femme, her tendrils had grown a bit longer now, reaching to near the middle of her back and they had developed the colour electric blue on the ends, she wasn't too sure as to why but she loved the look of them. She had a much better control on her thrusters from flying around a lot inside her Sire's base, and she had lost count on the amount of times her Sire had scolded her for 'racing around' the base, to her it didn't seem like racing, she was just flying quick is all, she didn't see a harm in it. She came out of her thoughts when she bumped straight into her Sire's chest from flying around again "Oof!" she rubbed her nose and looked up at her Sire, half annoyed, half sheepish.

Omega put his hands on his hips as he gave his daughter a stern look, clearly he had had enough of her racing around the base "Ome, what have I told you about racing around the base?" he asked.

Ome had to resist the urge to roll her optics "I'm not racing, I'm just flying quick" she replied.

Omega gave her a look "That's racing, how many times have we had this conversation?" he replied.

"Too many" Ome grumbled.

"Exactly, and yet you're still doing it" Omega replied.

"It's not like I'm flying around outside is it? I'm flying inside" Ome argued, it was typical for Younglings to be a little defiant at times.

Omega clenched his jaw slightly from annoyance, he loved his daughter but sometimes he had to put his foot down "I don't care, I don't want you racing around whether it's inside or outside, is that clear?" he responded in his no nonsense tone.

Ome seemed to shrink back slightly, knowing that tone, it was his no nonsense tone, or as she secretly called it, his 'Sire voice' "Yes..." she mumbled.

Omega narrowed his optics slightly "Pardon?" he replied in the same no nonsense tone, of course he had heard her but wouldn't take a mumble as an answer.

"Yes Sire" Ome responded as she rubbed her arm.

Omega nodded "Good, now go to your quarters and play" he replied and turned to walk back into the Rec Room, he sat down on the couch and picked up the datapad he had left on the arm of the couch, he didn't like having to be stern with his daughter, but he knew that it was necessary at times like just now, if he didn't then his daughter could take advantage and think she can walk all over him, it wasn't that he thought that she would go to that extent, but he didn't want to take the chance, so when the time called for it he would be stern with her. He came out of his thoughts when he heard a shuffling sound come from his right on the back of the couch, he turned his helm, he had half expected his daughter to come to him after he had been stern with her, so he wasn't entirely surprised to see her, he raised an optic ridge.

Ome was on her hands and knees from crawling along the back of the couch, she shrunk back slightly and looked to the side "Sorry Sire" she said quietly.

Omega's expression softened a little "You understand why I had to be stern with you, I know you love to fly but you cannot race around the base like you have been, I don't want you to get hurt" he said softly.

Ome nodded a little and looked to her Sire "Am I still a good femme?" she asked quietly.

Omega reached out a large hand and gently scooped his daughter up in his hand, bringing her to his face "You always have and always will be a good femme, don't ever think otherwise" he replied softly "you're a Youngling and still learning" he gently cuddled her in his large hand, holding her close to his chest "and I'll always love you"

Ome smiled and nestled close to her Sire's chest "Love you Sire" she replied quietly, sending her love through their family bond as she had since learned how to send emotions through the bond.

Omega smiled and sent his own love in return "I love you too sweetspark" he responded softly.

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

Omega made his way to the Elite Guard HQ, he and his now twelve year old daughter were paying a visit to the other Autobot Guardians.

Ome was sat on her Sire's right shoulder and looked around in wonder, normally she was snug inside her Sire's Spark Chamber, but this time she had wanted to sit on his shoulder.

Omega had initially been reluctant about it, but in the end he relented on the condition that she wouldn't try to fly off, he would glance to her every now and then to make sure that she was still there.

Ome looked to her Sire and smiled, she waved.

Omega chuckled softly and looked ahead again, he approached the Elite Guard HQ.

"Whoa...what's this place?" Ome asked.

"This is the Elite Guard HQ" Omega answered "and see the large building near the back? That's where your Aunt and Uncles hang out if they finish their duties or have the day off"

Ome smiled and nodded.

Omega approached the large Autobot Guardian building, as usual the door was slid open halfway to indicate that the other Autobot Guardians were inside, he approached the half open door and looked in "Anyone home?" he joked.

Epsilon grinned a little from where he sat on one of the large chairs ideal for their immense size "Hey Omega, Ome, come in" he replied.

"Hello Omega, Ome" Kappa greeted and smiled "how are you?"

"Good" Ome replied with a smile.

Omega nodded and smiled, he sat down on the large couch.

Alpha was sat to his left and smiled, he reached round Omega and gently rubbed Ome's helm with a finger.

Ome chirped and smiled.

"How are things at your base?" Beta asked with a smile.

"Relatively normal, never a dull moment with this one round" Omega replied and gave his daughter a smile.

Ome giggled.

Kappa giggled "It must be interesting raising her" he replied.

"Has she managed to hide from you yet?" Zeta asked with a smirk.

"She tries, but she's not learnt the concept of stealth yet" Omega replied with a smirk.

Ome giggled.

Omega gave her a smile before looking to the his Autobot Guardian siblings "Ome asked me the other day about going on another space flight" he said.

"Well why don't you?" Sigma asked.

"Well with the bad stuff going on it's difficult to do so" Omega replied, 'bad stuff' was the codeword for the war, he didn't want his daughter to know of the war just yet, he'd wait till she was either thirteen or sixteen to tell her.

"True, but Ome isn't going to be a Youngling forever Omega, sometimes you have to put the bad stuff aside" Iota replied.

Omega sighed a little "I know, it's difficult at times when you've been at it for so long" he said.

Alpha, Beta and Gamma nodded in agreement with that statement, they along with Omega were the only ones to have seen Cybertron before the war, Delta had been onlined just as the war had started.

The Autobot Guardians had been onlined in a rather unique way, their bodies had been built by some of the best Cybertronian engineers the planet had to offer, however their Sparks were born from Vector Sigma and placed into the finished bodies, so essentially they were onlined as adults, then they would take an oath to fulfill their duty to protect Cybertronian life and go through a month of training, after that they would automatically join up with the Elite Guard and would have leniency on whether they wanted to remain with the Elite Guard or follow another leader's orders from a different division, under the condition that said division were doing something related to protecting Cybertronian life, like the Wreckers, Autobots and the Elite Guard.

"Well it's up to you Omega, but it may do her some good, she probably wants to have more adventure before the reality of the bad stuff sets in" Theta said.

That was an unsettling thought for Omega, but he nodded "I suppose so" he replied "I would need to work out the logistics"

Ome had mainly stayed quiet, just curiously listening to her family's grown up conversation.

"How about in two weeks time?" Beta suggested.

Omega nodded thoughtfully "It will give us time to talk with Ultra Magnus and Optimus about it" he replied.

"Sire?" Ome piped up.

"Hm? Omega responded.

"Can someone else come with us on the space flight?" Ome asked hopefully.

"I don't see why not" Omega replied and smiled, he looked to the other Autobot Guardians "who has the day off two weeks from today?"

The other Autobot Guardians checked their schedules on their datapads "I do" Theta said.

"Oh! I do as well" Sigma added and smiled.

Omega nodded and glanced to the others "Anyone else?" he asked.

The remaining Autobot Guardians shook their helms.

"That's alright" Omega assured and looked to Theta and Sigma "which of you wants to keep an optic on things at my base and which of you wants to come on the space flight with Ome and I?"

"Can I come on the space flight? It sounded like a lot of fun from what Ome told us" Sigma said with a smile.

Omega looked to Theta "Theta?" he asked.

"I don't mind keeping an optic on things at your base" Theta replied with a smile.

Omega nodded and smiled "Thank you Theta" he replied, all they needed to do now was discuss it with Optimus and Ultra Magnus.

The next day Sigma came to visit his eldest Autobot Guardian brother and his niece, he and Alpha were the more regular visitors, but all of them had visited at least more than once.  He could tell that something seemed to be on Omega's mind but wasn't sure as to what exactly, he would have to ask once Ome went off to play.

After Ome had greeted her Uncle Sigma and spent half an hour with him, she went into her quarters to play.

Sigma smiled before he looked to his Autobot Guardian brother "Is everything alright? You look to have something on your mind" he said.

Omega gave a sigh "Ome asked me if she could fly outside when we go into space" he replied.

"You mean out in the open?" Sigma asked.

Omega nodded "I'm really not sure about it Sigma" he admitted.

"Maybe she wants to get to see what we see when we fly in space, you can't deny how beautiful space is from out perspective" Sigma replied with a smile.

"I know, but you know how dangerous space can be, what if she bumps into an asteroid? Some can be bigger than us" Omega replied, clearly his anxiety about it was getting to him "or what if the Decepticons spot us and try to shoot us out of the sky, or what if-"

"Omega, Omega, it'll be fine" Sigma assured "we can fly in our bipedal modes once we reach space, we can both keep an optic on Ome, and if the Decepticons do try to attack one of us can get Ome to safety while the other holds them off" he put a hand on Omega's shoulder "we got this, and you know Theta will be here at the base should Optimus need him for a battle, we got it covered"

Omega gave a sigh as he calmed down, Sigma was right, it wasn't like neither of them had flown in space before and they could take on the Decepticons, and get Ome to safety should anything like that happen.

Sigma smiled when he saw his eldest Autobot Guardian brother relax a little "It'll be fine, we'll have a great time" he said.

Two weeks later and Omega and Sigma were getting ready for their flight into space with Ome.

Ome was excited, she was sat in her Sire's alt mode since he didn't want her making the flight into space, but he would let her out once they were in space.

Theta was stood in the doorway of Omega's base and smiled "Have a great time" he said.

"We will" Sigma responded, a smile clear in his voice since he was in his alt form, a Cybertronian ship like the other Autobot Guardians.

"Any problems Theta, just call" Omega said.

"I know, I got it covered Omega" Theta assured "go have fun"

Omega and Sigma both activated their engines and ascended into the sky.

When they did reach space, Sigma transformed into his bipedal mode, his thrusters were still activated as he hovered in mid-air "Come on Omega, let her out" he said with a smile.

Omega, almost reluctantly, opened his airlock.

Ome activated her thrusters as she flew out, she looked around in wonder "Wow!" she said.

Omega transformed into his bipedal mode, like Sigma his thrusters were activated and was hovering in mid-air, his daughter looked so small compared to him and Sigma.

Sigma grinned "What do you think Ome?" he asked.

"It's so pretty, and big!" Ome replied with a smile.

"I know, this is what Omega and I see all the time, it's amazing" Sigma replied with a smile.

Ome grinned herself as the three of them flew further away from Cybertron.

Omega had loosened up a little but was still mostly tense, he really didn't like the idea of his daughter flying freely like this, but at the same time he reasoned that she had to do it sometime, and he and Sigma were keeping an optic on her so he did start to settle. He watched his daughter who was over to his right and Sigma was further over, he was so busy watching his daughter that he didn't realise that he was heading straight for an asteroid that was a quarter of his size.

The next thing Ome and Sigma heard was a loud bump and a string of Cybertronian curses, they both turned and saw that Omega had bumped into an asteroid, they both burst out laughing "Wow Omega! You were telling Ome to watch out for asteroids and you bump into one" he said as he laughed.

Omega grumbled as he brushed the stray pieces of asteroid off his armour, he gave his Autobot Guardian brother and his daughter a look.

Ome giggled "You ok Sire?" she asked.

"Or do you need an optic test?" Sigma teased.

Omega gave him a mock glare before looking to his daughter "I'm fine" he replied as they continued their space flight.

Sigma and Ome would snicker every now and then, one thing was for sure, Omega was not living this down.

Chapter 14: Time For The Truth

Summary:

It was time for Omega to tell his daughter the truth about things.

"Hello" Normal Talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

A year later and Ome was now thirteen years old, she was still a happy femme but had mellowed out a little in terms of getting overexcited about things, but that didn't mean that she cared less about her family, if anything she was still close to them, perhaps closer. Currently she was in her quarters on her datapad that her Sire got her for her thirteenth Sparkday, she mainly used it to talk to her Auntie and Uncles in a group chat, of course her Sire was in the same group chat and was a nice way for them all to talk. Although Ome had noticed something, her Sire had been acting a little weird lately, the best way she could describe it was that it was like he was hesitant about something, or was worried about something, she was a little concerned about it but wasn't sure how to approach him about it, it wasn't that she couldn't talk to him about her concerns, quite the opposite, she just wasn't sure how to word her concern to him. She came out of her thoughts when she felt a gentle nudge from the family bond and lowered her datapad "Sire?" she said.

"Ome would you mind coming to my quarters? I want to talk with you about something" Omega responded.

Ome frowned a little, the tone sounded serious and she racked her processor on what she could have done wrong, as far as she knew she hadn't done anything wrong, and she hadn't raced around the base since she was twelve "Am I in trouble?" she asked, a little concerned.

There was reassurance from her Sire "Don't worry you're not in trouble" he assured "I just need to talk to you"

Ome relaxed somewhat, so she wasn't in trouble, but what could her Sire want to talk to her about? Well, only one way to find out "Ok I'm coming" she replied and put her datapad on the berthside table, she got up and walked out her quarters to her Sire's quarters that were opposite her's, she had been in his quarters countless times growing up, it wasn't uncommon for her to want to lie on her Sire's chest some nights, especially after a storm. She knocked on the door.

"Come in Ome" Omega said.

The door slid open and Ome walked in, she smiled and waved "Hi Sire" she greeted.

Omega gave a smile "Hello Ome" he replied and lowered a hand for her.

Ome climbed onto his hand and got comfortable.

Omega shifted so he was resting his back against the headboard of his berth and looked down at his daughter "I'm sorry about acting weird lately, I've...had a lot to think about" he said.

Ome tilted her helm curiously "Like what?" she asked.

Omega was quiet for a few moments, thinking of what to tell her first, about the war or where she originally came from. Finally he asked her "Do you remember asking me why you were so small compared to your family?" he asked, it was a good start since he did recall his daughter asking that a few times.

Ome thought a moment then nodded "Yeah I do" she replied.

"Well...while even I'm not sure why you were born so small, but...what I can tell you is where you originally come from" Omega replied.

Ome was curious now, where she originally comes from? Did that mean she maybe had a Carrier who wasn't around anymore? Or had she had previous Creators she didn't know about who hadn't wanted her anymore? But she didn't want to make assumptions, so she let her Sire explain "Where do I come from?" she asked.

"You were born from Vector Sigma, you were considered a miracle Sparkling because it had been a long time since anything had come from Vector Sigma, I was there to see you born, along with Alpha Trion and Ultra Magnus" Omega explained, it was a little nerve-wracking to reveal this, but at the same time his daughter had a right to know.

Ome looked surprised, that was not what she had expected at all, she had heard of Vector Sigma from doing some research on her datapad and had stumbled across it on accident, what were the chances that she had been born from it? She hadn't met Alpha Trion but had seen Ultra Magnus quite a few times whenever she and her Sire would go to the Elite Guard HQ to visit her family "Wow" she said at last, at least she could rest assured knowing she didn't have previous Creators else she wouldn't have been sure how to handle that, but it did bring up one pressing question "if I was born from Vector Sigma, I'm guessing I had no family, right? So...how are you my Sire?"

"You are right about that, Ultra Magnus and Alpha Trion talked about sending you straight to the Youth Sectors so the caretakers could look after you" Omega replied "but...I didn't want that for you, it didn't feel right and you didn't deserve that, so I told them that I would take you on as my own, I was the one that named you"

Part of Ome was glad that her Sire had been the one to name her, it made her feel that she did belong in his family, she smiled a little "And you created a bond with me?" she asked.

Omega nodded and smiled a little "The very next day, you were born quite late at night and I was exhausted" he replied.

Ome giggled a little.

"But you did cry the next morning and I knew why, you had no bonds and was most likely feeling that, but when I created the family bond with you, you were very happy" Omega said and smiled.

Ome smiled and nodded "I bet you were too" she replied.

Omega grinned a little "I was, and still am" he replied before he regarded her a moment "how do you feel about this?"

Ome thought a moment, it had been quite the surprise that she was essentially adopted by her Sire, but it wasn't as bad as she had initially thought, and it definitely explained her size. And the fact her Sire had loved her like she was his own biological daughter, but to her it didn't matter that she wasn't Omega's daughter biologically, she was his daughter by bond and someone she had always looked up to and always would, and she had an amazing family of Autobot Guardians who adored her just as much as her Sire did. She smiled "It was a surprise, but to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be, because my initial thought was that I had previous Creators or had a Carrier that wasn't around to help you" she said "but Vector Sigma? I can live with that, and it does explain my size"

Omega nodded.

"I might not be your biological daughter, but I'm your daughter by bond" Ome said with a smile "and I know that means a lot to you, it means a lot to me too, I'm glad that I know where I originally come from, but you're still my Sire and always will be"

Omega gently cuddled his daughter to his chest with his large hand, he was doing his best not to get emotional, the relief he felt that she had taken the news so well, and the fact she still thought of him as her Sire, was indescribable "You'll always be my daughter Ome, nothing will ever change that, ok?" he replied, his voice was a little rough from his emotions.

Ome nodded and smiled "I know" she replied and looked up at him "was there anything else you wanted to talk about?"

Omega gave himself a few moments to compose himself before he nodded "There is one more thing yes" he said.

Ome tilted her helm slightly "What?" she asked.

"You remember when you would always hear your family and I talk about 'bad stuff'?" Omega asked.

Ome nodded, she had heard her family talk about 'bad stuff' a lot growing up, but whenever she asked they had always been tight-lipped about it and her Sire used to say that she would know when she was older, she guessed that she was now old enough to know.

"'Bad stuff'...was referring to the war" Omega said.

Ome had not expected that, her home planet was at war? "A war? With who?" she asked.

"The Decepticons, their leader Megatron had ideologies that would be considered wrong, the Autobots fight for peace and protecting innocent lives" Omega replied "do you know why I always tell you to hide in my Spark Chamber some days?"

Ome thought a moment, then a realisation hit her "You were...going to battle?" she asked.

Omega nodded "I'm an Autobot Guardian as you know, so are the rest of your family, we have a duty to protect Cybertronian life" he replied "which also means that we are called in as a last line of defence, so when a battle is going bad, we are called in to even the odds"

Ome had never realised the amount of responsibility her Sire had as an Autobot Guardian "Wow...isn't it hard? Trying to protect everyone in a war?" she asked.

Omega nodded "It can be yes, the war has been going on for a very long time, so long that most have never seen Cybertron before the war" he replied.

"Have you seen Cybertron before the war?" Ome asked.

"I did yes, and the Golden Age was beautiful, it really was" Omega replied as a far off look came to his optics "everything was brighter, more peaceful, there were large cities with buildings bigger than me"

"Wow" Ome said and smiled.

Omega nodded, a certain memory came to his processor but he pushed it back for now "Alpha, Beta and Gamma saw Cybertron before the war too, Delta was around just as the war was starting" he replied.

Ome nodded, she couldn't imagine how long this war had been going on for, only four of her family members had seen before the war "Primus..." She murmured.

Omega nodded and gently stroked his daughter's helm with a finger.

"So...if I was hiding in your Spark Chamber when you went to battle, did you ever get hurt?" Ome asked.

"I did yes, there were battles where I would sustain an injury, but the reason you never felt it was because I would conceal the pain from the bond" Omega replied "I've been doing it since you became my daughter, and I do not regret it, I didn't want you to be aware of the war too young"

Ome could understand that, she wasn't a Creator but she had no doubt that she would do that if she was one, out of love and to protect them, it made her admire her Sire more that he sacrificed not only his feelings but pain, just so she would never feel it through the bond, she smiled a little "You're really brave" she said.

Omega couldn't help but smile "I fight to protect Cybertronian life, especially yours" he replied softly.

Ome smiled, she seemed to think something over and looked up at her Sire "Do you think...I can help in battles when I'm older?" she asked.

Omega really wasn't sure on that, the thought of one day losing his daughter to the war was something he couldn't bear to think about "I...don't know Ome...I couldn't lose you to a battle or see you get hurt" he admitted.

Ome smiled a little "I know, but I want to get to help you and my family, I could team up with you" she replied "you might have everyone else's back, but who has yours?"

Omega couldn't deny that that was a good point, he was always a last defense so was used to dealing with it either alone or with his siblings if they are called to help him, but could he allow his daughter to fight in the war? It was clear that she was aware of the implications, yet she was still determined to help protect innocent lives, he couldn't help but admire that trait that she got from him. He gave a sigh "I don't want you going into battle just yet" he said "however, when you turn sixteen I'll train you and you'll have your own blasters, then when you're eighteen...you will team up with me and we'll have each other's backs, and please be careful…ok?" he said.

Ome grinned and nodded "I will Sire, I promise" she replied "you won't regret it"

Omega smiled a little and nodded, he sincerely hoped that his daughter wouldn't get hurt, even though deep down he knew it was a possibility, but the Creator in him never wanted to see his Sparkling get hurt.

Summary:

Omega tells Ome about the day of the betrayal.

If you have seen the Transformers G1 episode 'The Secret Of Omega Supreme' (if not it's available on Dailymotion), I got some inspiration from that for my own take on the betrayal between Omega and the Constructicons :)

"Hello" Normal Talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts/Flashback scene.

A few days later Ome was with her Sire in his office, she was currently sat on his desk as he had a look at a report on his datapad from a recent battle he hadn't been needed in, since she was older now she looked around his office properly, she saw the pictures on the wall on the right side of her Sire's office and flew over to have a look. She definitely recognised the pictures of her Sire with her Auntie and Uncles, they were either all together, or it was her Sire with one of them, either way he looked relatively happy in them. But there were two pictures that caught her optic, the first picture looked quite old but it showed a beautiful city that she had never seen before, it looked almost pristine and she knew that this picture must have been taken during the Golden Age, she did sometimes forget how old her Sire was until he would talk about the Golden Age, she wasn't too sure what city was in the picture since she only really knew Iacon as that was where her Sire's base was located. She looked over at her Sire "Sire? What's this city?" she asked, pointing to the picture.

Omega looked over, for a brief moment Ome could have sworn she saw some sadness on his face but was gone just as quick "That is...was Crystal City" he replied "I used to guard it back in the Golden Age" he went back to reading his report.

Ome nodded a little and then turned her attention to the second picture, she recognised her Sire straight away despite the fact that in the picture he had no scars, he had the Elite Guard Insignia on his chest rather than the Autobot Insignia, and she could tell by his smile and the look in his optics that he was much younger, like he had no worries of the war and actually looked genuinely happy, she then looked at the six mechs that were sat on her Sire's shoulders all doing different poses or pulling a funny face, she had never seen them before nor had she heard about them, which did puzzle her since she could tell that they looked to be friends with her Sire. She looked over at her Sire "Sire?" she said.

"Hm?" Omega responded.

"Who are the mechs in the picture with you?" Ome asked.

Omega didn't even need to ask her which picture she was referring to, he knew which one she had spotted, sometimes he questioned himself as to why he had kept that picture, but at the same time it was a fond but sad memory. He gave a sigh and looked over at his daughter "Those mechs were my friends before the war" he replied and got up, he walked over and took the picture off the wall "their names were Long Haul, Scrapper, Hook, Scavenger, Bonecrusher and Mixmaster" he pointed to each mech in the picture as he said their names, he still remembered their names after all this time.

Ome looked up at her Sire "What...what happened to them? Did they get killed in the war?" she asked.

"It would have been merciful if they were" Omega replied, some bitterness seeping into his voice.

Ome had never heard her Sire be bitter like this before, she was a little unnerved but she knew there was a story to be told "What did happen to them?" she asked.

Omega gave a sigh and put the picture back on the wall, he knew that his daughter would have asked eventually, the only ones that knew of that part of his past were his siblings, not even Ratchet knew, but his daughter was part of his family and he felt that she had a right to know. He sat down at his desk again "I'll tell you" he replied finally, part of him didn't want to revisit this particular memory, but he had to, it was a little easier to talk about but was still painful.

Ome flew over and sat on her Sire's desk, she looked up at him.

Omega took a deep breath and let it out slowly, he had a far off look "This was back in the Golden Age, there had been talks of a war starting and there had already been some attacks in the rougher areas of Cybertron" he began.

Flashback - Golden Age of Cybertron

Omega was doing his usual duty of guarding Crystal City, he loved the place and had seen many Cybertronians who either lived or worked in the city, though he was concerned for everyone's safety after hearing the rumors of a war starting and the attacks in the rougher areas of Cybertron, he had even spoken to his friends about it yesterday evening that he was concerned about it, but that didn't mean he wouldn't fulfill his duty to protect Cybertronian life. He came out of his thoughts when he heard hurried footsteps approaching and saw his friends hurrying over, he frowned "Is everything alright my friends?" he asked.

"Omega! Alpha needs your help, there was an attack in his sector!" Scavenger replied frantically.

Omega looked concerned, worried for his younger brother, but he knew that if Alpha needed help he would have contacted him "If Alpha needed help, he would have contacted me" he replied.

"Yes but this attack was sudden" Hook replied.

"And he didn't have time to contact you, we were working nearby when he told us to come and get you" Mixmaster added.

"He gave us cover so we could get here in one piece" Bonecrusher said.

"He could be outnumbered Omega, you must go and help him!" Scrapper added, sounding panicked.

Omega knew that if another Autobot Guardian needed help, he could leave his post to go and help them without the need of waiting for orders from Ultra Magnus, who the leader of the Elite Guard, and he saw no reason to disbelieve his friends, and he feared for Alpha's safety, he knew Alpha's sector was the next city over but could easily run there. He nodded "I'm on my way" he said to his friends before he left his post at Crystal City, he made sure to take a route that was less populated so he wouldn't end up trampling over any smaller buildings in his haste to get to Alpha, he spotted said Autobot Guardian walking along on what looked like a patrol "Alpha!"

Alpha startled slightly and looked over at his older brother who looked frantic "Omega?" he questioned.

"Are you alright?!" Omega asked as he put his hands on his brother's forearms.

Alpha looked confused "Yes I'm fine Omega, I'm just doing a patrol" he replied.

"What? B-But...there's an attack in your sector and you need help!" Omega replied.

"There's no attack in my sector, and if I did need help I would have sent out a comm to you Beta and Gamma" Alpha replied.

"But...they said it was so sudden that you had no time to contact me, so you sent them to come get me and gave them cover so they could" Omega protested.

"Who did I send to get you?" Alpha asked.

"The Constructicons! They were working nearby when you sent them to come get me!" Omega replied, looking irritated that his younger brother was being so clueless.

Alpha stared at his older brother "Omega...I haven't seen the Constructicons at all, and there's nowhere round my sector that's due to be constructed or knocked down" he replied.

Omega could see his younger brother was telling the truth and frowned as he let go of his forearms "Then...then why would they...? I... I have to get back to Crystal City" he said before he ran off.

"Omega wait!" Alpha called.

Omega heard him but didn't stop as he ran back to Crystal City, why would his friends lie to him? It made no sense! Then he came to a stop and froze at what he saw, Crystal City was being destroyed by a huge green and purple mech who looked shorter than Omega by at least 10 feet, Omega vaguely heard Alpha approaching but was in too much of a shock to acknowledge him.

The large mech turned after stamping on an already destroyed building, then he seemed to separate and there were the Constructicons.

"The Constructicons?!" Alpha exclaimed.

"Why...Why did you destroy Crystal City?!" Omega asked as he got over his shock.

"It was necessary" Long Haul replied simply.

"Lord Megatron ordered it" Scavenger added.

"Megatron…? You're Decepticons?!" Omega exclaimed, he had heard the rumors about the Decepticons, that they had been behind the attacks.

"Isn't it obvious?" Bonecrusher teased, but it wasn't in his usual friendly tone that he always used with Omega, it was in an almost taunting tone.

Omega looked devastated, his friends, his only friends had betrayed him, he had given them his friendship, his respect when no one else had, and this was how they repaid him? "Why? Why would you do this? You were my friends...I stood up for you...I-I respected you when no one else did!" he said.

"We both respected you!" Alpha added since he had been introduced to the Constructicons when he was new to being an Autobot Guardian.

"I'm sorry Omega, but it just wasn't enough, now that we're a combiner and form Devastator, we will get the respect we deserve!" Mixmaster replied before he and the other Constructicons transformed into their alt modes and drove away.

Omega could only stare as he watched the mechs he had considered friends drive away, then he looked to what was left of Crystal City, barely anything was left standing. He had failed...

Alpha shook his helm in disbelief, then he startled slightly when he saw his older brother fall to his knees trembling, he rushed forward and knelt beside him, he held him close "I'm...I'm so sorry Omega" he whispered as his older brother sobbed.

Omega clung to his younger brother like a lifeline "I failed...I let them do this...I should have seen through their lies" he sobbed.

"You couldn't have known Omega, no one could have predicted this, this isn't your fault" Alpha tried to console his older brother.

Omega sniffed and lifted his face shield to wipe his optics, he lowered his face shield again and he put his hands on the ground, he closed his optics a moment before he clenched his jaw and opened his optics "I was gullible" he said.

Alpha was a little thrown off by the instant change in his older brother "Omega..."

Omega stood up "I told them so much about my duty as an Autobot Guardian, about how we can help another Autobot Guardian without orders" he continued "they exploited that to make me believe them, they knew how much you, Beta and Gamma meant to me so they used you as an example in their lie"

Alpha stood up as well "But Omega, they were your friends, how was you supposed to know they'd pull something like this?" he replied, he was unnerved by this new personality from his brother, it was so sudden.

"As I said, I was gullible" Omega replied and looked to his younger brother "but not anymore" he looked to the remains of Crystal City "I will never be that gullible again"

End Flashback

"Primus..." Ome murmured, looking shocked, it really explained why her Sire didn't look as happy in the pictures after Crystal City, it wasn't just because of the war but because he still had the pain of the betrayal weighing him down.

Omega nodded and looked to the side "I haven't seen them since that time.…they took our friendship and threw it back in my face" he said quietly and tried to stop the tears that were starting to escape his optics but it was futile "they could have chose to become Autobots...t-they didn't have to betray me..."

Ome had never seen her Sire cry before, he was always so strong for everyone, but she didn't think it a weakness, it showed that even the strongest of mechs needed comfort. She flew up onto her Sire's right shoulder and snuggled up to his neck, she sent comfort to him over the bond "It was never your fault Sire" she said quietly "they chose to join the Decepticons, if they valued your friendship as much as you did they wouldn't have even agreed to join the Decepticons, it's their loss"

Omega lifted his face shield to wipe his optics before lowering it again, he gently cupped his hand round his daughter, no words were needed, it was clear that he appreciated what she said, and it made things a just little better.

Three years later and Ome was now sixteen years old, she had mostly mellowed out but could still have her eager moments if she was going to be doing something for the first time, such as today, she was going to learn how to use her blasters that Ratchet had made that were ideal for her size, she looked at herself in the mirror and grinned. She had a strong slender build now and her tendrils now reached to just below the middle of her back, two blasters were on her forearms, she couldn't help but strike a few poses in the mirror and giggled, she then saw her door open in the reflection and her Sire look in, she turned to look up at him.

"Are you ready to go?" Omega asked and smiled.

Ome smiled and nodded "I can't wait to try these blasters out" she replied and walked over.

"Don't forget to retract your blasters, remember, only have them out either during training or battle" Omega reminded her.

"Oh! Sorry" Ome replied and retracted her blasters.

Omega chuckled "It's alright, now let's get going" he said and lowered a hand for his daughter.

Ome smiled and climbed on "Do you know if the others are coming?" she asked, referring to her Auntie and Uncles.

"They can't make it I'm afraid, none of them have the day off today" Omega replied and smiled slightly.

Ome was a little bit disheartened about that, but at the same time she completely understood because they, including her Sire, had a duty to protect Cybertronian life. She smiled slightly "I understand" she replied "we can tell them all about it when we next see them"

Omega nodded and smiled "Exactly" he replied and gently held his daughter to his chest, he walked out their base and he made sure it was secure before he walked away.

It took around half an hour before Omega arrived at a shooting range that he and the other Autobot Guardians used, there were a lot of drones that were the average Cybertronian size, but there a line of drones at the back that were much bigger, almost the size of her Sire.

"How come those drones at the back are so big?" Ome asked as she was lowered to the ground, she hopped off her Sire's hand.

"The drones at the back…are the size of Devastator" Omega replied.

Ome looked up at him in surprise "But I thought you said you hadn't seen the Constructicons since that day?" she asked.

"I haven't, it's more…precaution, should Devastator decide to show up again" Omega replied as the memory of the betrayal came to the forefront of his processor, the remains of Crystal City, Devastator destroying it and the Constructicons' harsh words.

Ome looked a little concerned and sent a gentle nudge through the bond "Sire?" she said.

Omega seemed to snap back to reality, the flashback fading before he could see the shooting range again, he cleared his vocals "Apologies" he replied and looked down at his daughter "I try not to think too much about it since it triggers a flashback" he at least could be open about his PTSD since his daughter knew about it now.

Ome nodded and smiled a little, she sent her comfort to him before she smiled "So what do I need to do?" she asked, changing the subject.

Omega was grateful for the subject change since it gave him something positive to focus on "I need you to stand here for me" he said and pointed to the area in front of the safety line.

Ome nodded and stood where her Sire told her to stand "What's the line for?" she asked.

"That's the safety line, it's for those that aren't going to be using their weapons and can watch from a safe distance" Omega explained "but since I'm going to be helping you, I'll be behind you"

"Ah so that's an exception to the rule?" Ome asked.

"Pretty much yes" Omega replied and smiled, he then knelt down behind his daughter "now bring out your blasters and face the drones"

Ome turned to face the drones and brought out her blasters, she was a little nervous and took a deep breath.

Omega pointed to the nearest drone "Now, shoot the-"

"You weren't going to start without us were you?" the familiar voice of Gamma teased.

Ome gasped and turned, she saw her Auntie and Uncles approaching the area "You came!" she exclaimed and smiled, she vaguely remembered to retract her blasters.

Omega looked just as surprised as his daughter and got up "I thought none of you could make it?" he asked.

"You think we were going to miss our niece's first training session? I don't think so" Zeta replied with a smirk.

Alpha chuckled "After you and Ome left a week ago, we spoke with 'Magnus to get this day off so we could be here" he explained.

"But if there's an emergency, we'll go" Beta added.

Omega couldn't help but smile, this meant a lot to him "I…appreciate you coming" he replied.

Ome smiled and nodded "Yeah, I mean I know you have duties, but I'm glad you're here" she said.

"Of course, we didn't want to miss this for anything" Beta replied with a smile "this is pretty much a milestone for you"

"Now let's see what you can do Ome" Gamma said and grinned slightly.

"You'll ace this Ome" Eta added and smiled.

Ome smiled, feeling less nervous and turned to face the drones again, she brought out her blasters.

"Stand like this Ome" Sigma said with a smile and demonstrated by standing with his left foot back "it'll give you balance from the recoil"

"Recoil?" Ome asked.

"He means when you shoot, there will be a recoil, so stand like Sigma is showing you and fire at the nearest drone" Omega instructed.

Ome stood with her left foot back and pointed her blasters at the nearest drone.

"Keep your arms straight Ome" Iota said.

"Excuse me who's the instructor here?" Omega couldn't help but tease, he did appreciate his siblings' inputs though.

Iota stuck out his glossa.

Ome giggled a little and straightened out her arms "What do I aim for?" she asked.

"The chest area is sensitive on an average sized Cybertronian, for us our chest area is the strongest area as it protects our Sparks" Omega explained.

"However you can run a quick scan on an enemy to find their weak points and shoot them there" Epsilon added.

"All the drones have different weak points, but the most common one on all of them is the chest area, so aim for the chest first as a starting point" Kappa said.

Ome nodded and pointed her blasters at the chest area of the nearest drone, she was still a little nervous.

"Don't be nervous, take a deep breath and fire when you're ready" Omega said softly.

Ome took a deep breath and let it out slowly, she then powered up her blasters and did her best to keep her aim on the chest area of the drone, then, she fired her first shot. She jerked back slightly from the recoil but didn't fall over, then she stared in surprise, it was a perfect shot.

"Haha! She's a great shooter like her Sire" Zeta said with a smile as he clapped Omega on the shoulder.

Omega couldn't help but feel pride "A perfect shot" he said to his daughter.

Ome couldn't help but grin "I did it!" she cheered.

"Now I'm glad we took the day off" Theta said with a smile.

"Try with some of the other drones Ome" Delta said to his niece and smiled.

Ome smiled and turned to face the drones again, she did the same as before and fired a few shots at other drones, some were a little off-centre but some were a direct hit.

Alpha smiled and put a hand on his older brother's shoulder "Like Sire like daughter" he said.

Omega smiled and nodded "Like Sire like daughter" he responded.

Chapter 17: Becoming An Autobot

Summary:

The time had come for Ome's first battle.

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

Two years later and Ome was now eighteen years old, she had done well with her training and could both shoot and do combat as well, she knew that she had reached the age that she could now help her Sire in battle and was both nervous and excited about it, of course she knew not to take battle lightly and knew what the Decepticons were capable of, but she was determined to do well, she just needed the opportunity.

And that opportunity arrived, Omega received a call from Optimus that his assistance was needed, the Autobot leader knew of Ome as he had met her not long after Ratchet had, and he also knew that she would help in battle when she reached eighteen, which would also be the moment he would allow her to become an Autobot if she wanted to be.

Omega made sure that his weapons were ready before he looked down at his daughter, he wouldn't deny that he was nervous and worried for her, but he couldn't let his personal feelings get in the way right now "Are you ready for this? This isn't training anymore, this is the real deal" he said.

Ome was a little thrown off-guard at how serious her Sire was, but she nodded and took a deep breath "Yeah, I'm ready" she replied.

Omega nodded before his expression softened a little "Be careful" he said.

Ome smiled a little and nodded.

Omega then turned and they both walked out their base, Omega transformed into his alt mode and opened his airlock for his daughter.

Ome knew she had to be quick so as not to waste time, so she flew up and was soon inside.

Omega closed the airlock before he powered up his engines and started to take off towards the battlefield.

Ome could see the battlefield up ahead and her nerves grew, could she do this? But she had been trained for this, she couldn't doubt her abilities now.

"Get ready Ome, like we practiced" Omega's clipped voice said.

Ome knew what he was talking about and nodded, she flew up out of her seat and towards the air lock, she hovered there as she waited for the right moment. As soon as the airlock opened, she flew out just before the airlock swiftly shut and her Sire started to transform in mid-air.

Omega landed on the ground, not too far from the battlefield and stood tall, he brought out his blaster and laser and walked forward towards the battlefield.

Ome brought out her own blasters and flew forward to keep pace with her Sire, this was the first time she had ever seen the Decepticons, their blood red optics and dark-coloured armours made them look scary. But she could see the fear and dread in the Decepticons' optics when her Sire walked forward, she never realised the kind of fear her Sire imposed on the enemy, not that she thought of him any differently, but this was the first time she had seen her Sire's mindset in a battle situation, it was actually quite an eye-opening thing to see. She snapped out of her thoughts when she heard gunfire and looked down, she saw a number of Decepticons shooting at her Sire, though it was futile since the shots barely left a scratch on his armour, but she knew she needed to help the other Autobots even if she only knew Optimus and Ratchet. Her blasters powered up and she flew down, she fired a few shots at the group of Decepticons shooting at her Sire.

Having not expected to see such a small Cybertronian, and the fact that she was shooting at them, the group of Decepticons were thrown completely off-guard "What the frag?!" one exclaimed before he was shot in the chest, he tried to make a swipe at the small femme but was shot at again causing him to go down.

Ome knew it wasn't the time to celebrate, that would come later, she continued to fly through the battlefield, firing on Decepticons that tried to shoot either her or other Autobots. She could use the bond to see where in the battlefield her Sire was, plus the fact he stuck out like a sore thumb because of his size, but the bond was something they used to their advantage so they knew where one another were in the midst of battle.

Omega brought out the weapons that were mounted in his shoulders, above his chest, and the missiles in his hips and feet. He fired them simultaneously towards a large number of Decepticons heading their way.

Ome looked a little awestruck at the amount of firepower her Sire had, but she quickly snapped out of it and fired on another Decepticon that had had an Autobot pinned down.

After what felt like an eternity, but was really an hour, the surviving Decepticons retreated after so many were lost thanks to Omega Supreme.

Ome breathed a sigh of relief and landed on the ground, she retracted her blasters and looked around, she could mainly see Decepticon bodies and luckily no Autobots were lost in this particular battle. Her thoughts then jumped to her Sire, she looked around for him "Sire?" she asked through the bond.

"I'm alright" Omega assured as he approached, retracting his weapons as he did so "are you injured?"

Ome smiled in relief before looking down at herself "No I'm ok" she replied.

The relief was evident on Omega's face "Good" he replied "no Autobots were lost this battle, but that doesn't mean it won't happen, so be aware of that"

Ome nodded "I know" she replied.

"Great work everyone" Optimus said "anyone injured?"

"Only some minor injuries, but nothing life threatening" Ratchet replied.

Optimus nodded before he looked to Ome "You did great Ome, your Sire trained you well" he said and smiled.

Ome blushed a little at the praise "Um...thanks Optimus" she replied.

"You're welcome, now I want to give you a choice" Optimus replied with a smile "you can remain a Neutral, or you can become an Autobot"

Ome looked surprised "I can be an Autobot?" she asked.

"You can yes, it was something your Sire and I discussed, he sees a lot of potential in you and I do too after your performance in battle" Optimus replied with a smile "so what do you say?"

Ome didn't even have to think about it, she looked up at her Sire and smiled "I still want to help in battles" she said "can I be an Autobot?"

Omega regarded his daughter for a few moments, seeing how well she had turned out and how much she had grown up, sure she was still classed as a Youngling until she was thirty and to him she would always be his Sparkling, but this would be a major milestone for him personally, seeing his daughter become an Autobot. A smile graced his face and he nodded "If you want to be an Autobot, it would be an honour to fight alongside you" he replied finally.

Ome couldn't help but grin and looked up at Optimus "I'd love to" she said.

Optimus nodded and smiled "Well then Ome, we'll take you to the Autobot base so Ratchet can give you the insignia"

"And so Omega can see for himself, I'll do it outside" Ratchet added and grinned a little "since I know he wouldn't want to miss it"

Omega gave a slight grin of his own at that.

Ome was delighted and nodded.

A few hours later...

"There, all done" Ratchet said as he finished applying the Autobot Insignia to Ome.

Ome smiled as she looked at her Autobot Insignia, it was coloured red and was on the top part of her right arm "Wow" she said and looked up at her Sire "Sire look"

"It looks great on you Ome" Omega replied and smiled, it was clear he was having a moment of parental pride.

Ome smiled before she turned to Optimus and gave a salute.

Optimus smiled and gave a salute in return "Welcome to the Autobots Ome" he said as he lowered his hand.

Ome lowered her hand as well and grinned, she blushed a little when some of the Autobots cheered, she walked over to her Sire.

Omega gently lifted his daughter to his chest, holding her close "I'm so proud of you, always have been" he said.

It warmed Ome's Spark to hear that and smiled "Thanks Sire" she replied.

Chapter 18: Worst Nightmare

Summary:

Omega never wanted his daughter to get hurt in battle, but unfortunately his worst nightmare was coming true.

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

Ome was now twenty years old so had been an Autobot for two years, she got along with the other Autobots whenever she did see them since she had opted to stay at her Sire's base as she wanted to stay with her Sire, and the fact she had grown up in his base, her tendrils were fully grown now and reached to just above her aft, she found that she could produce an electric shock with them, so she would use them as a secondary weapon in battles. In terms of battles, she was doing well and was more confident, not to the point of cockiness, but confident enough not to doubt her abilities, she knew that no battle was the same and not to underestimate any Decepticon. Who knew that would end up being true…

One day, Omega and Ome got the call from Optimus that their help was needed, there was no hesitation as they acknowledged the call and soon left the base.

Omega ran forward a few paces before he jumped up, transforming as he did so and activated his engines, he opened his airlock and as soon as his daughter had flown in he closed his airlock and flew towards the battlefield.

Once at the battlefield, Omega transformed in mid-air before landing on the ground, his daughter hovering beside him as usual, he regarded the battlefield a few moments and saw more Decepticons than the average battle, a lot more, he knew if he tried to take them on alone he wouldn't be able to cover a lot of ground and he could sustain more injuries than necessary, he would need another three Guardians to help him "Ome, go ahead and assist the Autobots, I'm going to call for some extra firepower" he said to his daughter through the bond.

Ome thought that was a little unusual but knew not to question anything right now "Alright, be careful" she replied before she flew closer to the battlefield.

Omega watched her go before he opened his com-link to his brothers and sister "I need assistance, three Guardians" he said as he pinged his location to them.

Elite Guard HQ…

The Autobot Guardians all seemed to tense when they got Omega's call for assistance, it could mean one of two things, one: Omega was injured and needed help, or two: Omega knew that there were too many Decepticons to take on alone and needed the extra firepower. But since Omega hadn't sounded pained, and the fact he specified how many Guardians were needed, it was the latter "On my way" Alpha responded first before he ran out of the recreation building.

"On my way" Sigma responded next as he followed after Alpha.

"On my way" Zeta was the third Guardian to respond before he followed his two brothers, the only reason he had been with them was because he had been visiting.

On the battlefield…

Omega waited for his siblings as he mainly focused on long-range attacks, he would use the bond every now and then to see how his daughter was doing, so far she was doing well. He then heard three ground-shaking bumps from somewhere behind him and knew Alpha, Sigma and Zeta had arrived, he gave a quiet sigh of relief.

"Primus, there's so many" Sigma said over the Com-link.

"Definitely more than usual, the Decepticons are getting bolder" Alpha agreed.

"Did they crawl out of the Pit or something?" Zeta retorted.

"Either way, we can move forward now and do what we can to protect the Autobots" Omega said "ready?"

Alpha gave a nod "Ready" he replied.

"Me too" Sigma added.

Zeta put a fist into the palm of his hand "Let's send these fraggers back to the Pit piece by piece" he said.

Omega nodded and he walked forward with his siblings, they brought out their weapons "Alpha you and I will take the right side, Sigma, Zeta, take the left" Omega ordered, eventhough he did follow Optimus' orders, he was the oldest Guardian and took on a leader-like role amongst them when in a battle situation.

"You got it" Zeta replied as he moved to the left side "c'mon Sigma"

Sigma followed his older brother.

Alpha followed his older brother to the right side.

Ome was glad that there were now four Guardians rather than just one, her Sire made the right call, she was on the ground as she fired at the Decepticons.

A Mini-Con saw the blue femme and smirked "I'll get rid of that annoying Autobot once and for all" he muttered as he snuck closer to her.

Ome never heard him coming since she was distracted with firing at other Decepticons, suddenly she heard the sound of a weapon powering up coming from the right and turned, the next thing she felt was blinding pain, especially from the right side of her face. She was knocked back a few feet from the blast and landed on her back, she tried to look around but realised…she couldn't see, everything was blurry and the right side of her face hurt so much.

Alpha frowned when he saw his older brother freeze, he had never known him to just freeze up like this, something was seriously wrong "Omega, Omega what's wrong?" he asked.

"O-Ome" Omega choked out.

Alpha looked worried, had his niece gotten killed? "What's wrong with Ome?" he asked.

"Hurt…she's hurt…her optic" Omega responded, this was his worst nightmare coming true, he had hoped his daughter would never get hurt in battle, but it had happened and he hadn't been near her to protect her.

Alpha knew he needed to get his brother to focus "Go to her, I'll cover you" he replied "she needs you"

That seemed to snap Omega out of it and he nodded "Zeta, Sigma, help Alpha, Ome needs me" he said before he used the bond to find where his daughter had fallen.

Zeta and Sigma knew that something must have happened to Ome for Omega to back off like that "How bad is it Alpha?" Zeta asked.

"I don't know, Omega said it was something to do with her optic, that's all I know" Alpha replied "whatever it is, it made him freeze up, we need to keep these Decepticons at bay"

Sigma and Zeta both gave a nod.

Thankfully Ome had had the common sense not to move from where she sat on the ground, she was shaking a little from both fear and adrenaline, she heard the familiar footsteps of a Guardian and raised her head, all she could make out was a big yellow and red blob, but she knew it was her Sire "Sire? Sire I can't see…I didn't see the Mini-Con…" she said.

It took Omega a few moments to respond as he looked at his daughter's injury, her right optic and part of her face was damaged from the blast, there was a steady leak of energon from the injury, her left optic was intact so he guessed the blindness in that optic was temporary, the right one though…he was no Medic but even he knew it was too damaged to be repaired, she would be blind in that optic for the rest of her life and it only made him feel more guilty "It's alright Ome" he replied at last, doing well to sound calm "don't move, I'm going to call Ratchet so he can get you patched up" he then got on the Com-link to Ratchet.

Ome nodded a little "Where are Uncle Alpha, Uncle Sigma and Uncle Zeta?" she asked.

"They're holding off the Decepticons, they're alright" Omega assured.

"But…but you need to be there too, they need you" Ome replied.

"They can manage, you're more important" Omega replied softly "Ratchet is coming"

Ome heard the wail of a siren and knew it was Ratchet.

Ratchet transformed and knelt down beside Ome to asses the damage done to her "Alright Ome, let me put a bandage on you to stop the bleeding" he said.

Ome nodded a little, she grimaced a little as she felt a bandage gently wrap round her helm, covering most of the right side of her face.

"She took a shot to the optic at point blank range" Ratchet said and looked up at his friend "it's too damaged to be repaired, so she's going to be permanently blind in that optic"

"I..figured" Omega replied.

"But her left optic is intact, so she should be able to see through her left optic in the next few hours" Ratchet said.

"Will I…still be able to battle?" Ome asked, turning her helm in Ratchet's direction.

Ratchet couldn't help but grin slightly "We will see how you go once you can see in your left optic, though if you're anything like your Sire, you'll bounce back" he replied.

Omega gave a small smile at that and gently picked his daughter up in his hand and held her to his chest.

"The right side of her face will heal and become scarred, while it does that it would be best if she had painkillers to manage the soreness that she'll have" Ratchet explained "for now, I would either hide her in your Spark Chamber until the battle is over, or head back to your base with her"

Omega was about to say that he would take his daughter to their base, but he felt a small tap on his chest and looked down at his daughter.

"Put me in your Spark Chamber, Uncle Alpha, Uncle Sigma and Uncle Zeta need you" Ome said before she smiled a little "it'll be like old times"

Omega bit his bottom lip to keep his emotions at bay, he knew his daughter was right, he had a duty and eventhough she was injured she understood his duty and wanted him to fulfill it. He turned away from the battlefield and opened his chestplates and Spark Chamber, he gently placed his daughter inside his Spark Chamber before closing it along with his chestplates, he then turned back to the battlefield and walked forward to help Alpha, Sigma and Zeta.

When the battle was finally over, Alpha, Sigma and Zeta walked over to Omega "How is she?" Sigma asked.

"She…took a shot at point blank range by a Mini-Con, she's permanently blind in her right optic because it's too damaged" Omega replied.

"Frag...if that Mini-Con isn't already offline I'll offline him next time I see him" Zeta growled slightly.

"Where is Ome?" Sigma asked.

Omega tapped a finger on his chestplates "She insisted that I hide her in my Spark Chamber so I could...so I could help you" he replied "she was more worried for you than she was for herself, she still wants to help in battle when she recovers"

Zeta grinned a little "Determined like her Sire" he replied.

Omega smiled a little and nodded.

Alpha placed a hand on his older brother's shoulder "Hey, you know that this isn't your fault right?" he said softly, seeming to know what else was upsetting his older brother so much even if he wasn't showing it outwardly.

Omega glanced to his younger brother.

"You know war is unpredictable, anything can happen out of our control" Alpha said softly "I know this is more personal to you because Ome's your Sparkling, but she will recover from this"

"Yeah she'll be her cheeky self in no time" Zeta added "don't blame yourself for something a Decepticon fragger did to her"

"I know but...I'm supposed to protect her" Omega replied quietly.

"Ome knew what she was getting herself into when she wanted to team up with you and become an Autobot, but she still wanted to help and you had always made her aware during training that she could get injured at anytime" Sigma said "I think that's why she wasn't as scared, because she had always known it would happen, and because you were there for her"

Omega nodded a little, it did ease his guilt a little after hearing what his siblings had said, but he doubted that the guilt would ever fully go away.

Chapter 19: Inherited Anger

Summary:

Omega finds out the hard way that his daughter had a personality trait that he hoped she wouldn't inherit from him.

Notes:

This chapter is set three years after the previous one, so Ome will be twenty-three years old.

Chapter Text

Omega thought he knew every aspect of his daughter's personality and where she had got them from, for example her shyness, he knew that was something she had developed on her own since he didn't count himself as shy, granted Beta could be a little shy at times but not to the extent of Ome. But her wit, determination and friendly personality, they were definitely from him and he couldn't help but feel glad that she had inherited some of his personality traits because of the family bond. However, there was one more personality trait that hadn't made itself known yet, but it made itself known, in a battle of all places.

It started off normal at first, or as normal as a battle can be, and Ome was doing her usual thing in teaming up with her Sire and taking out Decepticons. But that was until she came face to face with a Decepticon Seeker she had never seen before, he looked to be coloured burgundy and lilac with what looked like an orange cockpit on his chest.

The Seeker smirked "Well well well, if it isn't the puny little Autobot" he retorted.

Ome narrowed her good optic.

"I've heard all about you, you team up with that big buffoon Omega Supreme" the Seeker continued "I'm surprised he's still functioning, should be in the scrapheap by now"

Ome growled a little at the nerve this Seeker had insulting her Sire, but she knew she couldn't reveal that, no Decepticon knew of her family relation to Omega and it had to be kept that way so she wouldn't be used as potential blackmail by the Decepticons "You're only insulting him like that because he's not close, if he was you'd be running off" she retorted.

The Seeker snorted "I'm not scared of him" he replied before he smirked "I'm surprised you're still online, pipsqueak"

Ome growled as her anger grew, the puny and pipsqueak comments, along with the snide remarks about her Sire, was begining to rile her up.

"You're so puny that I could blast you with just one shot of my superior laser and you would be dust!" the Seeker retorted.

That seemed to do it for Ome, she snarled and fired a shot at him.

The Seeker was knocked back from the shot.

"Call me puny and pipsqueak again! I dare you!" Ome snarled "go on say it so I can shove my blaster so far up your aft you'll be eating plasma!"

Omega could feel his daughter's anger, which was something he'd never felt before, and looked to see where she was. He was horrified to discover his daughter was squaring off against Starscream of all mechs, and she wasn't backing down either, even when Starscream stood back up, practically towering over her.

"That was a silly move puny Autobot" Starscream growled "now prepare to die!" then he was hit by a laser and was knocked back a good distance, he knew who had fired that blast, Omega Supreme "gah! Decepticons retreat!"

The remaining Deceptions retreated.

Ome powered down her blasters and retracted, she then flew over to where her Sire.

"What were you doing squaring off with Starscream?" Omega asked, clearly not too happy about it.

"Who?" Ome answered.

"The Seeker, his name was Starscream" Omega replied "Megatron's Second-in-Command, why in the name of Primus we're you squaring off with him?"

"He insulted you and called me puny and pipsqueak, do you expect me to take that kind of thing from him?" Ome replied, clearly still riled up.

It was then Omega realised that his daughter had the one personality trait that he had hoped she wouldn't inherit from him, his anger, he would be the first to admit that he did have a bit of a temper. But it was rare that his anger showed in full force unless he was pushed to that point, and if he was pushed to the point where he couldn't hold back any longer, he would let loose. Luckily it was never physical, but a lot of verbal and some curses thrown in here and there, most were wise not to push him to that point. Why did his daughter have to inherit that trait from him? Well there was nothing he could do about it, the only thing he could do was advise her to reign in that temper, which he knew would be a challenge because she was still young and learning. He gave a sigh "Ome, trust me I've heard enough insults from Decepticons that it doesn't bother me" he said "as for Starscream insulting you, Decepticons will do that to get a reaction out of you, you cannot let your anger dictate your actions, especially in a battle, that could have ended badly had I not intervened and I will not lose you because of something like that, ok?"

Ome sighed as she calmed down "Yeah I know, I'm sorry, it just really got to me when Starscream was saying those things about us" she replied "I didn't let anything slip but still"

"Yes I know, all I ask is that you do your best to keep that temper in check, alright?" Omega responded.

Ome nodded "I'll...I'll try" she replied.

Omega nodded before he gently brought his daughter close to his chest, his thumb gently rubbing her helm "Don't scare me like that again, ok?" he whispered.

Ome hadn't realised she had scared him when she had squared off against Starscream, but she nodded, snuggling a little closer to his chest "I won't, I'll do my best, I promise" she replied quietly.

This chapter is set seven years after the previous chapter.

Also as a disclaimer, I have no idea of Impactor's personality, so I've made it up.

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

Ultra Magnus stared grimly at the information that was in front of him "And this is a certainty?" he asked.

"Sure is sir, the 'Cons are gonna go all out and it's gonna be messed up" Jazz replied.

"Indeed, this will be the largest battle anyone has ever seen" Ultra Magnus replied "and we do not know when it will happen, but we cannot go into this unprepared" he looked to Jazz who was next to him "the only way we can make it through this is if we all work together, all three factions, the Elite Guard, the Autobots and the Wreckers"

"Sounds good to me, we're gonna need it" Jazz said.

"Jazz, contact Optimus Prime and Impactor, I must discuss this with them first and foremost" Ultra Magnus replied "I want to be sure we are all going to be on the same page"

"No problem sir, I'll call 'em" Jazz assured before he walked out, closing the door behind him.

Ultra Magnus sighed and rubbed his helm "Primus help us all" he muttered.

Ten minutes later…

Impactor got off the com-link with Jazz, Ultra Magnus needed him to go to the Elite Guard HQ immediately, which was unusual since he had his own team to lead, so whatever was going on must be serious. He came out of his thoughts when he heard the usual boisterous laughter of the other Wreckers outside, he walked outside "Hey Zeta! Mind giving me a ride to Elite Guard HQ?" he asked.

"If it gets me away from these bunch of fraggers, sure" Zeta replied with a smirk, earning a few good-natured insults from the other Wreckers.

Impactor couldn't help but snicker "Whatever you say Zeta, c'mon we gotta go, it's urgent" he said.

"Urgent huh? Why would the Elite Guard want you so urgently?" Zeta asked after he had transformed into his alt mode and opened his airlock.

Impactor shrugged as he got on "Not sure, had a call from Jazz saying 'Magnus needs me and Optimus to see him urgently" he replied and walked into the bridge, sitting down in the command seat.

"Huh, that's weird, there must be something fragged up that's going on for 'Magnus to call you" Zeta replied, a frown clear in his voice as he powered up his engines and ascended.

"I thought that too" Impactor agreed "what's also weird is Optimus is being called in too"

"Hmm…something bad must be happening for 'Magnus to call you and Optimus, like slag has hit the fan kind of bad" Zeta replied.

"Yeah…I don't like it" Impactor replied and looked out the window as Zeta descended outside the Elite Guard HQ "thanks Zeta, I don't know how long I'll be, so go spend time with your siblings" he got up out of the command chair after the Guardian had landed.

"No problem" Zeta replied as he opened his airlock, letting his leader out.

Impactor got out and walked towards the main building of the Elite Guard HQ, he heard the familiar sound of Zeta transforming as he neared the building, as he did so he heard another vehicle approaching and looked over his shoulder.

Optimus transformed into his bipedal mode "Hello Impactor" he greeted.

"How's it going Optimus? Any idea what this is about?" Impactor asked.

"I'm just as much in the dark in this as you are" Optimus replied as they walked inside the building "all Jazz said was that you and I were needed by Ultra Magnus immediately"

"Zeta reckons that it's something bad, like everything will be going to the Pit soon" Impactor replied.

"Well…only one way to find out" Optimus replied as they approached Ultra Magnus' office, he knocked on the door.

"Enter" came Ultra Magnus' reply.

Optimus and Impactor entered the office and saluted him.

"At ease" Ultra Magnus said "thank you for coming on such short notice"

"It's alright 'Magnus, why was it so urgent?" Impactor asked.

Ultra Magnus gave a sigh before he brought up the intel that had been found "According to intel, there will be a battle, but this is going to be nothing like we have seen before" Ultra Magnus explained "the Decepticons are going to be going all out"

"Primus" Optimus breathed.

"Frag…this is worse than slag hitting the fan" Impactor added.

"I know, which is why I propose that we work together" Ultra Magnus replied "the Elite Guard alongwith the Autobots and the Wreckers"

"No problems there 'Magnus, we're gonna need all the help we can get" Impactor replied.

Optimus nodded in agreement "We will need the Guardians' help in this" he suggested.

"I agree, which brings me to my next proposal, the Guardians will join us at the beginning of battle" Ultra Magnus said.

"But sir there's never been a time where a Guardian has been needed pre-battle, we always call them in at least halfway through a battle" Optimus replied.

"I'm aware of that, but I fear that more lives could be lost if we don't have them with us pre-battle, especially with how big this battle is predicated to be" Ultra Magnus replied "we cannot take any chances, and…it will give the Guardians a chance to prepare, and even say their goodbyes should we lose any of them"

"I see what you mean 'Magnus" Impactor said.

Optimus nodded "We'll need to tell the Guardians about this" he added.

"I agree" Ultra Magnus replied "let us hope that we come out of this alive, if the Decepticons are going all out, this could mean the end of the war at last"

Optimus and Impactor nodded.

"Did either of you come here with Omega and Zeta?" Ultra Magnus asked.

"I came with Zeta, he's with the other Guardians" Impactor replied.

"Omega is at his base with Ome" Optimus said.

"Would you inform Omega and Ome to join the other Guardians? It's best if we talk to them all together" Ultra Magnus replied.

Optimus nodded "I'll let him know" he replied.

Half an hour later Optimus, Ultra Magnus and Impactor made their way to the recreation building that the Guardians always used as a hang out spot outside of duties.

"Do you think something bad is going to happen? I mean as far as I know 'Magnus has never had a need to call both Optimus and Impactor for something urgent before" Sigma said.

Zeta shrugged "I'm in the dark on this as well, I only know what Impactor told me on my way here" he replied.

"It is unusual, in all the time I've been with the Elite Guard, I've never known this kind of thing to happen" Alpha replied.

Omega did have a bad feeling about all this but didn't voice it aloud.

Ultra Magnus, Optimus and Impactor entered the building "Hey guys" Impactor greeted.

The Guardians turned to look at them, it was definitely unusual to see all three leaders of their factions together like this "What's all this about? Since when are the three of you together?" Gamma asked.

"Well, we uncovered some intel that is disturbing, there will be a battle but we are not sure of the time frame of when it will happen" Ultra Magnus replied.

"I have a feeling there's a 'but' in this somewhere" Zeta said.

"You'd be right Zeta" Impactor replied "the battle's gonna be big, like all Pit breaking loose kind of big"

Since Zeta was familiar with how the Wreckers talked, he caught on quicker than his siblings and niece "Frag…this battle is gonna be the biggest we've ever seen" he said.

"That would be correct" Ultra Magnus replied.

"The Decepticons are going to be going all out in this battle" Optimus added.

The Guardians looked to one another in concern "Has that ever happened? The Decepticons going all out?" Kappa asked.

Omega shook his helm "No it's never happened, there have been large battles, but this one will be like nothing any of us have seen before" he replied "if they are doing this, this could mean the end of the war should we succeed"

"Omega's correct on that, it could mean the end of the war, which has been a long time coming" Ultra Magnus said.

"Now there was something else we needed to discuss with all of you, I know you're usually called in mid battle, but we're gonna need you pre-battle instead" Optimus added.

The Guardians looked to one another, this had never happened before, they had never been required pre-battle "This is gonna be bad if we're needed pre-battle" Epsilon said.

"It will be bad, I cannot deny it" Ultra Magnus replied "so this is why we want to give you the option on whether you want to take part in this battle"

"None of us would hold it against you if you didn't, this is a big ask" Optimus added "if anything we would just ask that you would retreat Cybertron to save yourselves"

The Guardians and Ome looked to one another, discussing offline what do do "I can't deny that I'm afraid" Kappa said over the private com-link with her siblings and niece.

"I'm scared too" Ome admitted quietly.

"We don't know how many of us will still be here at the end of the war" Theta added.

"There has always been that possibility in every battle we've been in" Omega replied and looked to his family "we have a duty to protect, if we don't then more lives will be lost, I agree that it's not what we're used to, but if the Decepticons are going all out then we have to as well" his look softened a little "however, if some of you don't want to do this, I won't force you to"

"We can't shy away from duty now, we've stuck it out for this long, this is what we were built for" Eta replied.

"I won't allow lives to be lost needlessly because we sat back and did nothing" Zeta said "just tell me which Decepticons to slag and I'm in"

"I'm not letting Zeta have all the fun" Gamma added and gave a slight smirk to his younger brother before looking to Omega "count me in"

"I want the war to end, even if we don't survive, we're giving Cybertronians a future without war" Beta said quietly and looked up "I'm in too"

One by one the other Guardians gave their consent that they would join in the battle to, to fulfill their duty to protect Cybertronian life and give Cybertronians a future without war.

Omega lastly looked to his daughter "Ome? What about you?" he asked softly, he was the most concerned for her since he knew how dangerous this battle would be.

Ome, who had only turned an adult a week ago, looked to her Sire from where she sat on his right shoulder. She looked a bit scared, but there was determination there too "I'm in, I want to help my family" she replied.

Omega nodded before he looked to Ultra Magnus, Optimus and Impactor who had been waiting patiently for an answer "We have a duty, and we will honour our duty" he said aloud "Cybertronians deserve a future without war, so we will fight alongside you"

"We'll protect you" Sigma added and smiled.

Ultra Magnus looked to the youngest Guardian for a few moments, he had a soft spot for him which was really no secret amongst the older Guardians, he almost wanted to forbid Sigma from going into this battle, but he stopped himself, Sigma was a Guardian, this is what he was built for and he had a duty to protect Cybertronian life. So in the end, he nodded "Thank you" he said to the Guardians and Ome "I hope that we do not lose any of you to this last battle, but your bravery will always be honoured"

The Guardians all nodded, they knew there was a possibility that not all of them would make it out of the last battle, but they would honour their duty to protect not only Cybertronian life, but they privately agreed that they would give Ome the future she deserved.

Chapter 21: The Last Stand, Part 1

Summary:

The time has come, it was time to take a last stand against the Decepticons.

Notes:

This will be my own take on the Battle of Iacon, I've also decided to split it into parts so one chapter isn't too long :)

This chapter also takes place a year after the previous chapter.

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

The time had come, the day that everyone had been dreading but had been preparing for, the Decepticons were finally making their move and heading straight for Iacon.

The Autobots, Elite Guard and the Wreckers gathered together to receive orders from their leaders "The day has come, the Decepticons are making their way here as we speak and their numbers are like nothing we have seen before" Ultra Magnus said.

"But we've been preparing for this, so we gotta work together and take those slaggers down" Impactor added.

The Wreckers shouted their agreement as Zeta put a fist in his palm.

"It's likely that not all of us are gonna make it, but we have to do our best to protect innocent lives and give them a chance of seeing the end of the war once and for all" Optimus said.

Everyone nodded in agreement.

"I commend you all for your bravery and sacrifice" Ultra Magnus said "this is our last stand against the Decepticons, make it count…till all are one"

"Till all are one" came the reply from everyone else.

"Let's get into position" Optimus said.

Ultra Magnus nodded before he looked up to the twelve Guardians as everyone else got into various positions "The only order I can give you is to do what you do best, protect Cybertronian life" he said to them.

The Guardians that followed Ultra Magnus' orders nodded "You got it 'Magnus" Gamma replied.

Omega and Zeta glanced to Optimus and Impactor, since they only followed orders from one or the other.

"I echo what Ultra Magnus said, I'll leave it to you Omega to lead your family however you see fit" Optimus said.

Omega gave a nod.

"Uh…what they said" Impactor said, pointing a thumb at Ultra Magnus and Optimus "oh yeah, and do as you're told for Omega"

Zeta snickered a little "You got it Impactor" he replied.

Impactor grinned a little before he, alongwith Optimus and Ultra Magnus, walked away to lead their teams.

Omega turned to his family, this could be the last time that he would see any of them alive, who knows what could happen? The Guardians were all stood close to one another.

"I'm afraid…" Sigma admitted quietly.

"This is going to be fragged" Gamma added.

Omega nodded in agreement "It is, but we can't abandon our comrades, we have a duty and we have to fulfill it" he replied "it's alright to be afraid, I am too but we've made it this far, as 'Magnus said, this will be our last stand"

The other Guardians and Ome nodded in agreement.

"We will spread out amongst the battlefield to cover more ground and give the others back-up" Omega said "however, I want us to at least be close enough to one Guardian should any of us need assistance, if you reach dire straits and anyone from the Autobots, Wreckers or Elite Guard are with you, then…protect and sacrifice"

The other Guardians knew what that meant, it would mean that there would be a possibility that they could offline from protecting Cybertronian life, they had always known that their lives came after everyone else's, that they would put themselves in harm's way to lessen the losses to Cybertron life, it was what they were built for and what they had took an oath to "In that case, if this is the last time I'm gonna see any of you alive then I'm gonna say this…I love you all, it's been an honour" Zeta said as he looked to his family.

Normally Gamma would have teased his younger brother, in a fond way, for being mushy, but this was different "It's been an honour" he added.

The other Guardians said the same thing.

Ome nodded, doing her best not to get emotional "I love you guys too" she said.

Omega nodded, he couldn't let his emotions get the better of him at a critical time, he had to be the strong one to lead his family. He turned to look at the horizon and could just about see the Decepticons approaching "The Decepticons are approaching the horizon, we need to get into position and prepare" he said and looked to his daughter who was sat on his right shoulder, normally he would be more than happy to have her team up with him, but he didn't want her to have to witness the possible deaths of their family "Ome, I want you to go and join the others, they'll need some support from the air, but don't fly too high or you'll be vulnerable to attack, keep to just above helm level"

Ome found it a little unusual that her Sire didn't want her teaming up with him, but she knew he must have good reason for it that would probably be explained when the battle was over, so she nodded "Alright" she replied and activated the thrusters in the soles of her feet, she flew up and looked to her family, possibly for the last time.

"Go on Ome, go frag up some Decepticons for us" Zeta said and smirked a little.

"Do us proud little one" Kappa added and smiled.

Ome smiled a little and nodded, she then flew away to join the others.

Omega then turned to his family "Let's do this" he said "spread out and eliminate any Decepticon you see, protect everyone"

The other Guardians nodded before they all started to spread out amongst the battlefield, bringing out their weapons on their arms as they did so.

In what felt like no time at all, the Decepticons were in range and the all-out assault began on the Autobots, Wreckers and Elite Guard.

"Wreckers! Frag them up!" Impactor ordered.

"Autobots attack!" Optimus shouted over the sounds of gunfire.

"Move forward!" Ultra Magnus called as he got into a fighting stance with his Magnus Hammer held tightly in his hands.

Ome made sure to stay just above helm level so she wasn't too exposed as gunfire and laserfire came from every direction, she could feel her Spark pounding from both fear and adrenaline, but she was determined to help, she just hoped her family would be alright.

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

The battle wore on and the losses were mounting up on both sides of the battlefield, amongst those lost…were five Guardians, Iota, Beta, Theta, Delta and Eta, all had been taken down at different points in the battle by one particular Decepticon, Blackout, it was like he had been designed for the sole purpose of taking down the Guardians, the Decepticons' secret weapon, and so far he was succeeding after taking down five of them, now he had his next target, Gamma Supreme.

Gamma was with a group of mechs from the Elite Guard as he fired upon a group of Decepticons, he knew that five of his siblings were gone and it made him angry at the Decepticons, but he had to do his best not to let his emotions get the better of him else it could lead to his own demise. He then saw Blackout land nearby and growled, this was the mech that had taken down five of his siblings "Get out of here! Fall back!" he said to the mechs with him without taking his optics off of Blackout.

"Why bother? It's not them I'm after, it's you" Blackout sneered "how does it feel to know that five of the Guardians are offline because of me?"

Gamma growled "The Decepticons must have been desperate to create something like you from the Pit itself" he retorted.

"Funny, but we will see who has the last laugh Gamma" Blackout growled.

"I'll send you back to the Pit piece by piece" Gamma growled back, deep down though, he knew that he could possibly offline from this, but he would at the very least wear Blackout down enough for the others to deal with him, he would not go down without a fight.

Nearby

Zeta clenched his jaw a little to keep his growing anger down, first five of his siblings were offlined, now his leader Impactor. If he were to survive this he would be leader-less, which would mean he would have discretion to do whatever he saw fit to protect Cybertronian life, or he would transfer to either the Autobots or Elite Guard, though he found that unlikely since he would not leave the remaining Wreckers. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard an almighty crash that seemed to echo across the battlefield, he looked sharply and was horrified to discover that Gamma was victim to a takedown by Blackout "Gamma!" he shouted and ran over, he fired a few shots in Blackout's direction.

Blackout could have taken down Zeta, but he needed to give himself a respite, so for now he retreated.

Zeta retracted his weapons and knelt beside his older brother, gently supporting his helm and upper body with his left arm "Gamma! Hey don't you give up on me you fragger" he said, almost as a plea

Gamma coughed up some energon, the injuries he had were critical.

"We need a Medic over here!" Zeta called as he looked around.

"Zeta…" Gamma rasped and coughed before gasping a little "it's…t-too late"

"Don't talk like that, you're gonna be fine, you hear me?" Zeta replied, holding his older brother a little tighter "where the frag is a Medic?!" he called out.

"Zeta…" Gamma muttered and weakly placed his hand on his younger brother's chest.

Zeta looked down at him, looking torn between anger and devastation "You can't offline on me…y-you just can't" he said, his voice sounding more upset than angry, even vulnerable.

Gamma coughed up some energon again and gasped a little, he held his younger brother's right hand "Listen…more are coming…I-I saw them" he rasped, it was growing more and more difficult to talk, he was growing weaker by the second "y-you take 'em down…p-protect…family" his optics flickered a little and his grip was weakening "promise…promise me"

"Gamma…" Zeta whispered "please"

"Promise me" Gamma whispered weakly.

Zeta clenched his jaw and swallowed back tears, but he nodded "I promise" he replied and choked a little on his emotions, he barely acknowledged Omega approaching the area.

Omega had to hold back on his own emotions at the scene, but he had to be strong and knelt down the other side of Gamma, he gently placed a hand on his left shoulder "Rest now brother, you can let go now" he said softly.

Zeta choked out a sob at that as he gently held Gamma close.

Gamma managed a weak smile as he rested his helm against Zeta, then he gave a soft sigh as his body finally relaxed, his hand dropped from Zeta's and his optics closed as he offlined.

Zeta choked on another sob as he hugged his older brother's body "Frag..." he muttered.

Omega got to his feet but stayed to give Zeta cover should any Decepticons come over this way, which in turn gave his younger brother a chance to grieve, he himself would grieve later, not now when he needed to be the strong one.

Zeta gently lay Gamma's body on the ground after a few minutes and got to his feet, he clenched his fists as he thought of Iota, Beta, Theta, Delta and Eta, about Impactor, and now the one brother he had been closest to, that was the breaking point on his anger and something in him finally snapped. He remembered the promise he made, and he was going to fulfill it, he looked at his eldest brother.

Omega had never seen his younger brother so angry, no it was more than that, it was unbridled fury. He almost, almost, felt sorry for the poor soul that was going to be on the recieving end of it.

"Gamma said there was more coming" Zeta said, it was a strain to keep his voice level "you're going to retreat and I'll buy us time"

Omega glanced to somewhere behind Zeta, he was right, he could see more Decepticons approaching. He looked to Zeta again "Then let me help you" he replied.

"This isn't up for discussion" Zeta growled a little.

"Zeta"

"Don't!" Zeta growled before forcing his voice level again "don't argue with me on this Omega, the others need you, and you have Ome to survive for, you know what we all agreed on, giving her the future she deserves"

Omega knew it was hopeless to try and talk sense into his younger brother, but at the same time he was right, he gave a nod "Very well" he replied "thank you"

Zeta nodded a little before he took a few steps back.

Omega opened a com-link to the other Guardians and gave the order "All remaining Guardians retreat, we're going to re-group" he said before ending the call.

"Now go, go!" Zeta growled.

Omega gave a nod before he turned and jogged away to join the remaining Guardians, Alpha, Epsilon, Kappa and Sigma.

Zeta watched him go before he turned and walked towards the group of Decepticons, as he did so he opened a private com-link "Ome" he said, doing well to keep his voice level.

"Uncle Zeta?" came Ome's puzzled response.

"Listen, I just want you to know that I love you" Zeta replied.

"Uh...I love you too Uncle, what's going on?" Ome asked, sounding confused.

"Don't worry about it, you just be a good femme for your Sire, ok?" Zeta replied as he came to a stop a few yards from the large group of Decepticons, he brought out his weapons, all of them "you're going to survive this and have a future that you deserve"

"What? Uncle Zeta what're you gonna do?" Ome asked, sounding worried and a little upset.

"Just promise me that you're going to survive this battle and you're going to live the rest of your life happy and not take any slag from anyone" Zeta replied.

"I...I promise, I love you Uncle" Ome responded.

"I love you too" was Zeta's last words to his niece as he then ended the call and snarled at the group of Decepticons "come on then you fraggers! I'm right here, if I'm going down I'm taking you all with me!" he snarled before he gave a roar of rage and fired all his weapons, to not only buy his family the time they essentially needed, but to fulfill Gamma's promise to protect his family.

Notes:

I'll admit, I cried a little writing this XD

Summary:

The Guardians were facing a dilemma, Epsilon has the answer.

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

Alpha joined up with Epsilon, Sigma and Kappa since both sides were having a respite it seemed "Where are Omega, Gamma and Zeta?" he asked.

"Oh! Here's Omega now" Sigma replied pointing to Alpha's left.

Omega walked over to his remaining siblings.

"Where are Gamma and Zeta?" Alpha asked.

Omega sighed "Gamma is gone" he replied.

"Frag…" Sigma muttered.

"Oh no…" Kappa whispered "not Gamma"

Alpha nodded solemnly "And Zeta?" he asked.

Omega glanced away for a few moments before looking to the others "There was a second wave approaching, he insisted on buying us time" he replied.

"What?! But Omega he could offline, we have to help him!" Sigma protested.

"No" Omega replied firmly "he's brought us time to re-group, he knows what he is doing, it's for the best" the last part was cryptic to the others, they hadn't seen the look on Zeta's face, something in him had snapped and he was going to stop at nothing to eliminate that second wave of Decepticons and buy them time.

Sigma didn't look too happy, but he didn't argue anymore.

"What is everyone's status?" Omega asked.

Sigma sighed a little "I'm alright, mostly scrapes and scratches at the moment" he replied.

"I'm the same as Sigma" Kappa added.

"I got a small wound on my side, but it's not serious or deterring me" Epsilon said.

"I have mostly dents and scrapes" Alpha added "and what about you?"

"Pretty much the same as Kappa and Sigma" Omega replied before he sighed "alright, we need to-"

"Decepticon warship approaching!" came the frantic com-link call from one of the Elite Guard mechs, it was broadcast to every Autobot and Elite Guard on the battlefield, sadly all of the Wreckers had offlined.

The five Guardians turned to look up.

In the distance was a large Decepticon warship, it was bigger than the Guardians' alt modes and its weapons arsenal would be enough to decimate the whole battlefield.

Alpha, being the tactical one of his family, knew that currently the Decepticon warship was out of their target range and vise-versa, but he also knew that the warship would reach its target range sooner than theirs.

"We should shoot it" Sigma said.

"It's out of our target range, even if we waited it would be in range to decimate the whole battlefield before we have a chance to do anything" Alpha replied.

"Then…what do we do?" Kappa asked.

Alpha looked to the warship in the distance "The engines are the weak point" he replied and looked to the others "if one of them is taken out, the resulting explosion will be enough to either cripple it or take it down entirely"

"But because it's out of our target range…it means that one of us has to collide with it, aiming straight for one of the engines" Omega said.

Alpha nodded solemnly "Exactly" he added "whoever does this…will not survive"

Kappa and Sigma shared a worried look.

"I'll do it" Omega said.

"What? Omega you can't" Sigma protested.

"We can't argue on this, if we delay this any longer more lives will be lost" Omega replied.

"You're not doing it Omega" Epsilon spoke up.

The others looked to their brother "Epsilon" Omega warned.

"You're not doing it Omega" Epsilon replied before he raised his helm to look at him, his facial expression one of grim determination "because I'm going to"

"What? Epsilon you can't!" Kappa protested.

"You'll offline!" Sigma added.

"I know" Epsilon replied and turned to Omega "you and I both know that it cannot be you, you're still needed to lead our family, and you need to survive for Ome"

"Epsilon-"

Epsilon raised a hand to cut Omega off "Don't Omega, like you said, we can't delay this any longer" he said as he lowered his hand and moved away from the group before turning to them "so what're your orders?"

Omega sighed a little before he walked forward "When you take flight, aim for either the right or left engine, if you cripple it or take it down, your sacrifice won't be in vain" he replied.

Epsilon smiled a little and nodded "Till all are one" he replied before he turned and ran forward a few paces, jumped up and transformed into his alt mode, he activated his engines and made a beeline straight for the warship.

"Epsilon no!" Kappa cried.

Alpha gently held her back "He has to, I'm sorry" he said softly and held her close.

"It's not fair!" Sigma said as he was gently held back by Omega.

"I know, but it needs to be done to protect us" Omega replied as he held his youngest brother close.

With Ome

Ome looked up when she heard the sound of a Cybertronian ship and was horrified to see that Epsilon was heading straight for the warship, she opened a com-link to him "Uncle Epsilon get away from it!

"It's alright Ome" came Epsilon's calm response, almost like he was at peace with what he was about to do "I know what I'm doing, I love you

Ome lowered her helm as she knew what would happen "I love you too" she replied and looked up, she ended the call just before Epsilon collided with the warship, going right for the right engine.

As predicted, the warship exploded, the explosion lit up the sky.

"The warship is down sir" one of the Elite Guard femmes said to Ultra Magnus "but...we lost Epsilon"

Ultra Magnus nodded solemnly "Understood" he replied.

With the Guardians

Kappa and Sigma had both covered their optics from the explosion "He's gone...isn't he?" Kappa whispered.

"I'm afraid so" Alpha replied softly.

"How many more of us are going to offline?" Sigma asked quietly.

"We don't know, but Epsilon's sacrifice wasn't in vain, he saved all our lives" Omega replied as he let Sigma go.

Alpha let Kappa go.

Omega took a deep breath and let it out slowly, he then looked to his siblings "We still have a duty to do" he said "there's still Cybertronians to protect, especially Ome" he knew his daughter was still alive because of the bond.

Alpha nodded "For our family" he replied.

"For our family" Kappa added.

"For our family" Sigma said.

Omega gave a nod in agreement "For our family" he replied.

It was like the battle had started up again after the explosion, the losses were like nothing anyone had ever seen before, even for the veterans.

Blackout was flying high above the battlefield to get a scope on who to target next, there were four Guardians remaining, Omega, Alpha, Kappa and Sigma, he hadn't had to do anything about Zeta and Epsilon since they had done the job for him. In the end, he chose his target, Alpha Supreme.

Alpha fired upon a group of Decepticons when he heard someone land behind him, he quickly turned and saw that it was Blackout, the one that had offlined five of his family members. But he couldn't let his emotions overcome him as he kept an optic on Blackout.

"Where are the other Guardians Alpha? Oh that's right, most of them offlined either because of me or because they chose to be noble" Blackout sneered and smirked.

Alpha clenched his jaw a little, but he would not give the Decepticon the satisfaction of seeing him react to the taunt "They fought with honour" he replied "which is something you sadly lack"

Blackout growled and fired a shot, hitting the Guardian in the shoulder before he could react "You think you're so smart?" he retorted.

Alpha gave a slight grimace before his facial expression went back to neutral "I've seen a light bulb smarter than you" he replied "you can only last so long Blackout, eventually your ego will be your downfall"

Blackout snarled "We shall see about that!" he growled and ran forward to ram him.

Alpha timed it to the last second before he dodged to the side, turned and fired a shot at Blackout's back.

Blackout gave a shout of pain as he stumbled forward before turning on the Guardian again, he snarled and flew up "I'll send you to the Pit piece by piece!" he growled.

"I'll see you there then" was Alpha's retort before the two fought again.

Blackout would never admit it out loud, but Alpha was more skilled than he had originally thought and held a tactical advantage over him, but he was dealing a decent amount of damage to the Guardian "You should retreat while you still can Alpha" he sneered "retreat like the coward you are and live to see another day"

Alpha glared at him despite the fact that he was faltering now from his injuries, in an ideal world he could call this fight off and retreat, but he thought about his siblings that had been taken down by Blackout, if he retreated it would give Blackout the chance to go after Omega, Kappa or Sigma, or even Ome if he really wanted to. He clenched his jaw a little as his facial expression changed to firm resolve "I'm not allowing anyone else to be offlined by you" he replied "if I offline, then I'm taking you with me" and with that he whacked Blackout out of the sky.

Blackout grunted as he crashed to the ground and groaned a little, then he got to his feet and snarled, he flew up to get ready to target the one area on a Guardian that was the most heavily armoured area, the chest "So be it!" he growled before he rushed forward like a heat-seeking missile.

Alpha knew what would happen, so he covered his chest and managed to turn to the side, he gave a brief shout of pain as he was rammed right in the midsection and ended up crashing to the floor with a resounding bump, warnings popped up of serious internal injuries, he coughed up some energon before lifting his face shield to wipe the energon from his mouth, he then lowered it again and saw Blackout stalk over from the corner of his optic, he knew he was in no condition to stand, all Blackout had to do was deliver the final blow.

"This is your last chance Alpha, since I'm in a generous mood right now" Blackout said with a smirk "admit defeat and I may just let you live"

Alpha was no idiot, he knew Blackout would offline him either way "We...we both know...that's a lie..." he replied, the warnings were still popping up, he was bleeding out internally, but he wouldn't give Blackout any satisfaction.

Blackout gave a snort "Clever Guardian" he sneered before he powered up his weapon "see you in the Pit!"

"Alpha! No!" Omega exclaimed when he saw Blackout fire straight at his younger brother's chest.

Alpha ended up on his back and he coughed up energon.

Blackout would have shot him again had Omega not shot at him first, he stumbled and coughed a little, he was definitely weaker from his fight with Alpha, so for now he retreated.

Omega retracted his weapons and knelt down beside his younger brother, gently supporting his helm and upper body with his right arm, he knew from the look on his face that it would be useless calling for a Medic, they both knew one wouldn't get to him in time "Alpha..." Omega whispered, he was doing his best not to let his emotions get to him, but now the brother he was closest to was going to offline and there was nothing he could do but stay with him.

Alpha coughed up some energon and looked up at his older brother "I t-tried..." he rasped.

Omega choked a little on his emotions "Why'd you take him on alone huh? Y-You could have said something" he said.

Alpha shook his helm a little "P-Protect... sacrifice...f-for family" he whispered before he coughed again and gave a shuddering gasp.

Omega gently held his younger brother closer to him "S-Surely there's something I can do...I...I can't lose you" he said, normally he would have berated himself for showing vulnerability, but he couldn't help it.

Alpha coughed a little as he grew weaker "Th...There is..." he whispered.

"What...?" Omega asked.

"You...You survive...O-Ome...needs her Sire" Alpha whispered and coughed up some energon "g-give her...f-future... without...th-this war..." he held his older brother's free hand with his weakening strength "d-do it...for me"

Omega choked out a sob and held his younger brother close as he nodded "I will" he whispered "for our family"

Alpha gave a weak smile "T-Till...all...a-are...one" he whispered as he rested his helm against his older brother, giving a soft sigh as his body went slack in Omega's arms, he closed his optics for the last time as he offlined.

Omega choked out a sob as he held Alpha's body close, eventhough he knew he shouldn't be showing this kind of weakness in the middle of a battlefield, but right now he didn't give a frag "Till all are one brother" he whispered.

"Omega..." came the upset voice of Sigma.

Omega didn't even bother to hide how upset he was as he looked up at his youngest brother.

Sigma looked just as upset as Omega did as he choked out "Kappa's gone...had her cornered..."

Omega lowered his helm for a few moments before he gently lay Alpha's body on the ground and stood up, looking at his little brother, the only other Guardian left "Alpha's gone..." he managed to choke out.

Sigma choked out a sob as he clung to his eldest brother like a lifeline "I'm so scared..." he cried "what're we gonna do? We're the only ones left"

Omega held him close as they gave themselves a few minutes to grieve together "We can't quit now" he replied finally and cleared his vocals "we've dwindled the Decepticon numbers"

Sigma sniffed and lifted his face shield to wipe his optics "So many lost..." he replied.

Omega lifted his face shield to wipe his optics before lowering it again, he took a deep breath to calm himself and gently placed his hands on Sigma's shoulders "I know, but the Autobots and Elite Guard still need us" he replied "Ome needs us"

At the mention of his niece, Sigma nodded and lowered his face shield "We'll protect her" he replied "she's not gonna offline today"

Omega nodded in agreement "Let's re-group with the Autobots and Elite Guard" he said.

Sigma nodded "Alright" he replied.

"Let's go" Omega replied and looked to Alpha's body one last time, he would take Blackout down once and for all.

Ome was getting a wound fixed by Ratchet when she saw her Sire and Uncle approach, she looked relieved that they were still online, but she couldn't see any of the other Guardians "Where're the others?" she asked.

Sigma looked down and shook his helm.

Ome looked both shocked and sad, she knew Epsilon and Zeta were gone, but she hadn't realised things were this bad and that her Sire and Sigma were the only two left "How…?" she asked.

"Blackout has been targeting us" Omega replied "he's the main threat to Sigma and I, however Alpha did deal a decent amount of damage to him before he was taken down" it was a miracle that he was able to say that without getting upset again.

"Then what do you suggest Omega?" Optimus asked.

"Blackout needs to be taken down" Omega replied "it's unlikely that he will be able to take down two of us at the same time, he was always finding Guardians that were not in groups"

"So basically we both attack him and take him down" Sigma said.

Omega nodded "That's the idea yes" he replied.

"But he could kill both of you" Ome protested and got up after the wound to her arm had been patched up "I don't want to lose either of you"

"We have a duty to protect, you know this" Omega replied "we're the only two Guardians left, we have to do this"

"But we'll do our best to survive" Sigma added and smiled a little.

"I…hope so" Ome replied.

Omega allowed himself a small smile "It'll be alright" he assured.

"Well we have really dwindled their numbers, at a cost, but as you said Omega Blackout is the main threat" Ultra Magnus said and looked to Sigma "proceed in taking down Blackout, but use caution should he try any sneak attacks"

Sigma nodded "Ok 'Magnus" he replied.

"The same applies to you as well Omega" Optimus added "but if either of you get too hurt then retreat"

Omega nodded before he looked to his daughter "Ome you stay here with Optimus, give yourself a respite" he said.

Ome nodded a little "Please…be careful" she replied through the bond.

Omega nodded and sent his love to her "I will" he responded before he looked to Sigma and said aloud "let's go"

Sigma nodded "Alright, let's send him to the Pit" he replied.

Omega nodded in agreement before the two Guardians walked away.

Ome honestly hoped that this wouldn't be the last time she would see either of them alive.

With Omega and Sigma

"There he is" Sigma said and pointed towards Blackout "Alpha really kicked his aft"

Omega nodded "This is our chance to finish him off" he replied, he had to make sure not to let his emotions cloud his judgement and knew that revenge was not the answer "with two of us, he will have to attack twice as hard"

Sigma nodded in agreement as they brought out their weapons "Hey Blackout! Not looking too healthy after the aft kicking you got from Alpha huh?" he taunted, since he was the youngest he had a tendency to taunt the enemy in battles.

"Sigma don't get too cocky" Omega scolded his younger brother through the private com-link.

Blackout growled as he got to his feet "He may have done that, but where is he now? Oh that's right, in the scrapheap!" he retorted.

Omega had to resist the urge to growl, he couldn't let his anger get the better of him, he kept his facial expression neutral.

Sigma on the other hand growled and powered up his blaster "Talk about him like that again and I'll send you to the Pit in so many pieces that even Unicron will have trouble putting you back together!" he growled and fired a shot at him.

Blackout didn't have the chance to react as the shot hit him, making him stumble back.

Sigma went to move forward but was pulled back by his older brother "Hey!" he protested.

"Stop it, you're letting your anger get the better of you" Omega warned his younger brother through the com-link "we attack together or he will focus more on you instead of me"

Sigma growled a little before he took a deep breath in an attempt to calm down, he nodded.

Blackout slowly stood up and growled "I will finish off the Guardians once and for all!" he snarled.

"Bring it!" Sigma growled before he and Omega both moved forward to attack.

Blackout was struggling to keep himself from getting any damage, it was near impossible to take down two Guardians, he would have to try and damage one of them enough to at least cripple them, then he can focus on the other. So he fired all of his weapons towards them.

Unfortunately Sigma was the one that was hit, he gave a shout of pain as he was shot in the hip making him stumble.

Omega knew that if he let his younger brother continue to fight, he would have the same fate as his other siblings "Sigma, retreat back to the others" he ordered.

"What…?! Omega no!" Sigma protested before he hissed a little, struggling to stay on his feet from his injury "he'll kill you!"

"He is weakened, if he isn't taken down now, he will come back and target us again" Omega replied, keeping his optics on the injured Blackout "this is our last chance, it's now or never"

"Omega…what about Ome?" Sigma asked.

"She understands my duty" Omega replied and glanced to his younger brother "take care of her, if I offline" although he would make sure that he wouldn't offline, but the possibility was there.

Sigma nodded a little, there was no talking his older brother out of this, all he could do was retreat and stay with his niece "Alright" he replied "finish him off, for our family" he then turned and limped back to the others.

Omega looked back to Blackout "You took nearly all of my family from me" he said "you will not take anymore" and with that he moved forward to attack.

Chapter 26: The Last Stand, Finale

Summary:

The time had come at long last, the end of the war.

Notes:

Woo-hoo! We are on the last chapter of this story :D

So I had been debating for ages on whether to have Omega and Sigma end up in stasis like in the TFA series, but since this is an AU story, I decided to go a different route with it, read to find out ^^

(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)

Ome looked up when she heard a Guardian's footsteps and saw her Uncle Sigma limping over "Uncle Sigma!" she said.

Sigma smiled a little "Hey Ome" he replied and slowly sat down so First Aid could tend to his injury.

"Where's…where's Sire?" Ome asked, almost dreading the answer.

"He's taking on Blackout" Sigma replied.

"What? But Blackout could kill him!" Ome protested.

Sigma smiled slightly "He knows…he's doing this to protect you, he won't let Blackout take more of his family away from him" he replied.

Ome sniffed a little "He'll be ok right?" she asked.

"I hope so" Sigma replied "but don't worry, I'm gonna make sure he makes it"

Ome nodded a little.

With Omega and Blackout

Blackout delivered another attack on Omega and growled "Why don't you just offline and join the other Guardians in the Pit!" he snarled, but he had countless injuries, all of them severe or critical, and he kept getting warnings pop-ups, he knew all it would take is one major blow to finish him off.

Omega allowed himself to growl despite the injuries he had sustained, they were bad, but he couldn't back off now because if he did, it would be Sigma next, maybe even his daughter. He would not let that happen "Not before I send you there first" he growled, finally letting his anger show for the first time since losing all but one sibling. His blaster powered up alongwith his laser, then with a roar of anger he fired at Blackout.

Blackout had no chance to get away, he roared in pain as he was hit with both shots, parts of his strong armour were blasted off from the blast and he landed on the ground, he tried to get back up but he couldn't. He growled weakly when he saw Omega limp over "W-What're…what're you gonna do…? F-Finish me off…?" he retorted weakly before he coughed up some energon "y-you…you don't have…have the bearings to"

Omega regarded him without expression "When one is pushed too far, you never know what they can be capable of" he replied as his blaster powered up "for my family" he then fired at Blackout, practically obliterating him. He powered down his weapons and retracted them, it was finally over, he turned and limped back to the others. But now that the adrenaline was wearing off, the extent of his injuries became more apparent from the warning pop-ups and the amount of pain he was in, but he clenched his jaw as he limped to the others.

With Ome and Sigma

Ome was waiting anxiously for her Sire to return.

Sigma had had his side tended to and was mostly sore, but he wouldn't have painkillers just yet, he had to make sure that Omega would make it back.

"Sire!" Ome said when she saw her Sire limping to them.

Sigma slowly got to his feet and looked to Ratchet and First Aid "Go get the repair bay prepared" he said to them "I'll make sure Omega gets there so you can repair him"

Ratchet and First Aid didn't argue and transformed into their alt modes, they headed to the repair bay where Guardians would have repairs or maintenance done if needs be.

Omega coughed a little and finally collapsed onto some rubble.

"Sire!" Ome exclaimed and flew over, she landed near his helm "Sire?"

Omega looked to his daughter "Ome…y-you're alright" he whispered weakly.

Ome sniffed a little and nodded "Yeah, you will be too right?" she asked.

"Yes he will" Sigma replied, it was painful to stand but he was not going to lose his brother, he held out his hand "come on, I'm getting you to the repair bay"

"Sigma…I…I can't…" was Omega's weak protest.

"Don't even think about giving up on us" Sigma replied firmly and held his older brother's hand "Ratchet and First Aid are waiting for us in the repair bay, and I'm getting you there whether you like it or not"

Omega couldn't help a small chuckle, which made him cough and wheeze a little.

Sigma was gentle as he helped his older brother to sit up, then to stand, putting his right arm round his midsection to support him.

Poor Omega could barely stand, let alone walk, but he put his left arm round his younger brother's shoulders, he clenched his jaw as the two slowly made the trek to the repair bay.

Ome flew alongside them, both scared and worried for her Sire, she had seen him injured before, but not to this extent.

Omega looked to his daughter, feeling her fear and worry "I'll be alright, we did what we needed to do and we ended the war" he said softly through the bond since his mental voice sounded just fine.

Ome nodded and smiled a little.

"Now you will experience a future without war, just like I always wanted for you" Omega said softly.

Ome couldn't help but smile "It's not just me who does, it's you too, and Uncle Sigma" she replied "we're all that's left of our family, we can live on for them"

Omega gave a weak smile "For our family" he replied softly.

End

Notes:

And done! :D

But don't worry, it's not all over yet, there might be a sequel in the works, so stay tuned ;)

Chapter 27: Epilogue

Summary:

Now that there were only two Guardians left, Sigma wanted to feel a connection with Omega and Ome.

Chapter Text

"Hello" Normal talk.

"Hello" Talking through the bond.

"Hello" Com-link/Private Com-link.

"Hello" Thoughts.

The Repair Bay was relatively quiet, it seemed almost barren because the place had been big enough to repair all of the Guardians at the same time, but now there were only two left.

Sigma lay on one of the large medberths and sighed a little, his side was still sore but other than that he was fine, mainly resting. First Aid had tended to his other injuries he had sustained from the battle before telling him that he should be fully recovered within a month, so during that time he would either have to remain in alt mode or bipedal mode so it wouldn't hinter his recovery, he did worry about what Ultra Magnus would do during that time, but he pushed the thought to the back of his processor for now. He grabbed the controller that allowed him to either lift the top half or bottom half of the berth, he pushed a button and the top half lifted so he was in a reclined position before pushing the stop button, now he could see the medberth that was five feet in front of his own and his older brother lying on it.

It had taken a few hours for the repairs to be done on Omega, but he was out of danger and wasn't at risk of being put into stasis, he had been given painkillers after a lot of persuasion from Ratchet and was secretly thankful that he had agreed to it, from what the Medic said it would take a good year for him to be fully recovered. At least the war was over now, which was something, what would happen now was unclear, probably celebrations and honouring those that were lose in the battle. He closed his optics for a few moments to keep his emotions at bay before he turned his helm to look at his daughter.

Ome was lying on the pillow near her Sire's helm as she recharged, she had been exhausted from the battle after the adrenaline had worn off, it had been both physically, mentally and emotionally draining for her since she had lost nearly all of her family to one battle, sure she was glad her Sire and Sigma had survived, but she was grieving, but at least she wasn't holding it back as that was the last thing her Sire or Sigma wanted.

Omega wanted to rub his daughter's helm, but at the moment it was a struggle to lift his arms properly because of his weakened state, he then coughed a little since his throat was dry and was doing his best not to be too loud and end up waking his daughter. He grimaced a little as he coughed since it twinged his injuries, he then heard footsteps and turned his helm to the right.

Sigma smiled a little and placed a hand on his older brother's right shoulder "You alright?" he asked quietly when he saw his niece asleep.

"Dry throat" was Omega's raspy response before he coughed again.

Sigma nodded and gently patted his older brother's shoulder, he limped away, he returned after a minute with two cubes of energon and placed one of them on the nearby table.

Omega glanced at it and raised an optic ridge, clearly indicating that he couldn't grab it.

Sigma snickered a little at his brother's facial expression "That one's mine" he replied quietly before nodding to the cube of energon he was holding in his right hand "this one's yours, lift up your face shield"

Omega sent a mental command for his face shield to lift from over his face.

Sigma smiled and helped his older brother to recline in the berth, he shifted his weight onto his good side before he brought the cube to Omega's mouth.

Omega was grateful as he slowly drank the energon, he did have to pause a few times to get his breath since it was a strain to stay reclined, but his younger brother was patient and kept him supported "Thank you" he said quietly and cleared his vocals, he then sent a mental command for his face shield to lower back over his face.

"No worries" Sigma replied quietly and smiled, he helped his brother to lie down again "do you want me to recline the berth?"

"Ome's asleep on the pillow, I can't put her anywhere else" Omega replied quietly "it's alright I'm fine"

Sigma smiled and nodded "Give me a moment" he said quietly and limped away, he grabbed a Guardian-sized chair and placed it beside Omega's berth, he then sat down and sighed in relief.

"You should be on berth rest" Omega said softly.

Sigma shrugged a little "I'll be alright" he assured quietly "so what did Ratchet say about your recovery?"

"He said that it'll take a year to fully recover" Omega replied softly "he also said it would cause me pain if I transformed"

Sigma frowned a little "Does Optimus know?" he asked quietly.

"Most likely, don't worry I'll work something out" Omega assured softly "anyway, what did First Aid say about your recovery?"

"It'll take a month, during that time I have to either stay in alt mode or bipedal mode, I haven't really decided on which mode I'm gonna stay in" Sigma replied quietly.

"I think you'd be better off in your bipedal mode, saves you being fed energon the other way" Omega replied softly.

The other method of giving energon to a Guardian was through the fuel tank of their alt modes.

Sigma huffed a little "They should really warm up those tubes, they're always cold" he complained quietly "it's like having something cold up your aft"

Omega gave a sharp snort of amusement and had to keep his mouth shut to keep from laughing aloud.

Sigma snickered quietly.

Omega took a deep breath to compose himself "Now I know why you would squeak like a Sparkling" he teased quietly.

Sigma lightly, but gently, swatted his older brother's helm.

Omega laughed quietly and grinned a little, it was a welcome relief to have a laugh after everything that had happened.

Sigma grinned a little as well before he relaxed in his seat.

Omega turned his helm to the left look at his daughter to check on her, she was still recharging but he didn't blame her.

"Omega?" Sigma said quietly.

"Hm?" Omega responded softly as he looked at his younger brother.

Sigma looked around to make sure the coast was clear before he leaned in a little closer to his older brother "I…I want to have a family bond with you and Ome" he admitted in a whisper.

Omega frowned, Guardians were not allowed to create family bonds between one another, the only exception was if they had a Bondmate or Sparkling "Sigma you know that's not allowed" he whispered back.

"I know…but…it's just the three of us now, I-I didn't mind before and did respect that rule since there were twelve of us" Sigma whispered as he looked down "but now…" he looked to his older brother "I want to be able to feel a bond with my family, wherever we are in the universe"

Omega nodded a little before he slowly reached for his younger brother's hand.

Sigma held his hand and looked at him.

"I understand, tell you what, when Ome wakes up we can talk about it with her" Omega whispered and smiled "I know she'll be happy to have a family bond with you too"

Sigma grinned a little and nodded, both happy and relieved that his brother had agreed to it, he leaned in to give him a hug.

Omega grimaced slightly but chuckled "Easy" he said quietly as he gently patted his younger brother's back.

And of course when Ome was told of the idea, her response was a happy and resounding sounding yes.
