Now that Yui paid more attention to the interactions between Shiki and Akira, he noticed that two constantly bickered . But, rarely was it ever serious enough for the teens to stop being friends. Many times it ended with the two not speaking to one another for a few hours or the rest of the day. Occasionally , the two would come to some sort of middle ground. And every once in a while, Shiki would suddenly grow exasperated with whatever argument he had started and would walk off . He would then refuse to acknowledge that there was a fight to begin with.
Yui also noticed that Shiki was almost always the instigator to every argument. Whether that meant intentionally replying in a mocking tone, or nitpicking at something that what was perfectly normal . It almost seemed like the teen wanted to get a rise out of Akira.
But why?
Where was the satisfaction in seeing someone get angry at something you said? Did Shiki find enjoyment in spewing back-and-forth with someone? Having all their negative attention-
Oh.
He had something to go off of now.
Was Shiki so in need of Akira’s attention that he was willing to get any kind? It was the complete opposite of what Akira had told him about relationships. He was told that you had to gain your crushes’ attention by “Wearing something flashy!” and to “Make sure you take plenty of pictures of yourself to post on social media to get them to notice you even more!” If that was what Shiki was trying to do then-
It appears that Shiki had a crush. On his little brother.
He doesn’t know how to feel about that...
