‘’Hyung, do you ever think about how much time we spend with ARMY?’’ Jeongguk asks as he sits next to Taehyung on their big sofa. His hyung jerks his head up at the soft voice that slightly startles Tannie in his lap. ‘’Of course, I do,’’ shy smile sculptures his cheeks, ‘’ you know we all do. It’s hard not to think about someone who made you, right?’’ Taehyung looks like he is reminiscing on all nice things that happened to him as his hand travels through Tannie’s fur. Yeontan likes it. He snuggles further into his arms.
‘’Yeah, I understand that was a stupid question.’’ Jeongguk slightly shakes his head with a smile on his face. He is happy. ‘’I meant more if you ever think about how much time that actually is. Like do we understand what 7 years mean? How many months that is, how many weeks, hours, minutes… Do you ever think about how, for the last 7 years, we have spent every second with them? That’s like lots of seconds.’’ Jeongguk giggles shyly at the end of his thoughts.
Taehyung smiles and looks him in the eyes, his heart full of the content feeling of happiness and familiarity when he talks with Jeongguk. Taehyung loves to listen the way Gguk thinks. Every time Jeongguk speaks he feels like he is allowed to have another piece of him to love and cherish. That’s how Taehyung is feeling now. He feels like he just got another shot at loving Jeongguk all over again.
He pats his head slowly. ‘’That’s a nice thought you got there Jeonggukie. It feels surreal, right? That we know them for that long and that we will know them for the infinity of seconds. I guess that’s how it worked for us in this life.’’
But Taehyung knows how Jeongguk’s brain works so he asks. ‘’How did you get here? At this thought?’’
Jeongguk turns his body completely towards Taehyung and leans into his hand a bit more.
‘’So hyung, there is this one song that I heard today.’’ At this Taehyung laughs a little harder, a little louder as it bounces off the walls of their empty dorm. He knew there was something. Jeongguk’s eyes glimmer because they know Taehyung knows.
It’s because Taehyung always knows.
‘’And it’s called 10,000 hours and it’s really nice. The lyrics are so sweet and it gives me this fuzzy feeling around my heart and really no hard words in English. It’s…it’s so easy and soft and beautiful. You know, makes someone smile immediately.’’
Taehyung will never get enough of this. There will never be enough of Jeongguk. ‘’So what does your heart want now?’’ He doesn’t stop smiling even Tannie is wiggling his small tail. They like to see Jeongguk happy because happy Jeongguk is the best Jeongguk. That’s what Taehyung thinks.
‘’I might have already made a demo.’’ He smiles sheepishly and moves to take out his iPhone from his pocket. Yeontan recognizes a movement and leaps after it, ending up snuggled to Jeongguk instead.
‘’Aww, our cutie Tannie!! Wanna hear your uncle’s new cover as well?’’ Gukkie cooed and kissed Tannie’s head while starting the recording. As his voice fills the space around them, Jeongguk shyly looks at Taehyung, Tae’s eyes never leaving his throughout the whole clip.
‘’Oh, by the way, it’s by Dan and-‘’
‘’It doesn’t matter Jeonggukie. It’s you who is singing it now.’’ And that’s how he wants to remember this song. With Jeongguk’s voice and emotions. He deems it true that Jeongguk’s voice is the best one in the industry.
‘’I like that part.’’ Taehyung smiles brightly, showing all of his teeth.
‘’Wait which part?’’
‘’That lyric, 10,000 hours or the rest of my life I’m gonna love you.’’
‘’Exactly hyung!! I love it so much. I love ARMY that much. It reminds me of them, of every single one of them, living their lives and loving us at the same time.’’ Jeongguk is deep in the thought, smile grazing his lips all the time. He is grateful. He will love them as much as they love him.
‘’Yeah, Jeonggukie, you love them that much,’’ Taehyung says as he traces the letters of Jeongguk’s tattoo on his knuckles. ‘’Post it.’’
‘’Excuse me, what?’’ Jeongguk shakes out of his element, ears red a bit with embarrassment when he realizes Tae hyung said something.
‘’I said to post it, Jeongguk-ah. They will love it.’’
Gguk jumps slightly, filled with the buzz of excitement knowing that he will give ARMY something. He will make them smile.
‘’I should, shouldn’t I?’’ He smiles to himself and attaches the video to a tweet with the name of the song. And a purple heart. Purple heart is a must. He loves them more than love, right?

Immediately there is a flood of notifications and he will go through them, later on, he will check what ARMY have to say and giggle to himself as he receives the love he shot into the world back right into his heart.
‘’Now that it’s done, leave your phone and come play Overwatch with me,’’ Taehyung says and Jeongguk beams as he is already putting a sleeping Tannie on the sofa next to him.
‘’It’s game on, hyung.’’

Taehyung and Jeongguk don’t stop laughing and bickering until Seokjin shows up, announcing his presence with a loud door slam. Both maknaes slightly jump, mid pressing the buttons on their consoles. Tannie flinches a bit but just continues to sleep.
‘’Jeon Jeongguk, you absolute buffoon!!’’ Jin half screams, face red with light rage.
‘’Seokjin hyung!! What did I do now?’’ Jeongguk raises his voice a bit as his eyes get wider. Taehyung pauses the game. Situations like these usually get more interesting every time. He doesn’t want to miss any of it.
‘’Oh, what did you do?? You tweeted!!’’
Jeongguk answers in his normal voice now that’s laced with confusion. ‘’Yeah, I did. It’s a nice cover, isn’t it? ARMY are probably enjoying it! But why are you so-‘’
‘’Yes Jeongguk, the cover! Haha! The cover!!’’ Seokjin repeats after him, enraged even more than before, throwing his hands around him. ‘’And what did you tweet your cover on?’’
Jeongguk narrows his eyes. He isn’t quite on the same page as Jin hyung right now. ‘’What do you mean what I tweeted it on?? Of course, I tweeted it on my iPhone, what are you-‘’ He stops mid-sentence when he realizes what he’d just said. His eyes comically grow as he rewinds his memories.
Demo.
Jeongguk happy.
Taehyung’s smile.
Jeongguk excited.
Tweeting.
Tweeting from his iPhone.
He groans in the pillow and starts punching it which wakes Tannie up. He just jumps from the sofa and leaves the room. Jeongguk can hear Taehyung’s blooming laugher and he is pretty sure he just knocked over something off the coffee table.
‘’I can’t believe this!! I can’t believe this shit is happening again!! I’m so sick of it.’’ He straightens his back and sighs with closed eyes.
‘’Go on, delete it,’’ Seokjin demands.
Jeongguk’s eyes fly open in protest. ‘’Hyung no way!! It’s a cover! For ARMY, come on hyung!!’’ He whines and pouts but it doesn’t help.
Jin narrows his eyes. ‘’Delete it, Jeon Jeongguk. I’m sick of our manager shouting at me for your stupid shit. Samsung is Samsung.’’
‘’Well, Samsung is stupid.’’ Jeongguk retorts back as he presses delete with a heavy heart. He just took back what he gave. It doesn’t feel right. Suddenly he doesn’t feel like he deserves the love he received.
With a big sigh, he gets up from the sofa.
‘’Jeonggukie-‘’
He looks at him. ‘’Later, Taehyungie.’’
And Taehyung lets him go.
Because Taehyung always knows.
When Gguk leaves the room, Seokjin asks. ‘’Have I been too harsh?’’
‘’A bit yeah.’’ Taehyung gives him a sympathetic smile.

Later on, that day as Taehyung passed by the recording studio he heard his favorite voice of all time singing the lyrics that have been on his mind the whole day.
‘’I'd spend ten thousand hours and ten thousand more
Oh, if that's what it takes to learn that sweet heart of yours
And I might never get there, but I'm gonna try
If it's ten thousand hours or the rest of my life’’
He stood there by the door waiting for Jeongguk to finish the song, a big smile on his face. He closed his eyes and let Jeongguk’s voice to carry him away to his safest place.
Ah, my Jeonggukie, always so sweet and caring.
‘’Hyung.’’ Jeongguk acknowledged Taehyung’s presence as soon as he finished recording.
‘’You know you have the best voice ever,’’ Tae confessed, still with his eyes closed as if he was trying to engrave the melody of Jeongguk’s voice even deeper in his brain.
Jeongguk snorted and went to check if he did a good job. ‘’Yeah only in your world.’’
Everything went smoothly and there was just a click between ARMY getting more than what was taken from them. Jeongguk’s heart was finally in the right place.
Taehyung moved behind Jeongguk and hugged him while he was sitting. ‘’And it’s my world that’s important to me.’’ Gguk smiled softly and leaned into Taehyung a bit. It was late.
‘’Post it.’’
Jeongguk pressed the button as Taehyung pressed a soft kiss on his head.
