    When Mr. Molesley finally proposes to Miss Baxter, neither could say who is more surprised when the first word of out her mouth is "No". In the aftermath of her denial, Phyllis is forced to face unresolved parts of her history head on while Joseph and the Downton staff to their best to support her through the process of learning that, despite her past, she'll always have someone on her side.
