Work Text:

Class 2-A was buzzing with excitement as they stood in the entrance of the same shopping center they visited last year before training camp. Their second year was different, cause of several reasons, though. Due to some kind of miracle, they could convince Bakugou (it was mostly Kirishima’s work) and Todoroki to come with them. What was more, even Aizawa-sensei said that he would come – only to buy some school supplies. So, it was understandable why they were so excited – in their own ways.

”Where the fucking hell are they?!” Bakugou asked irritated, referring to their sensei and last classmate, who were supposed to come together.

”I think they will be here in any minute now, Kacchan,” Midoriya tried to calm his friend, but only got a glare.

”Hey, everyone! Sorry we’re late!” They heard the voice of their newest classmate and all the students of 2-A turned their heads towards the voice collectively. The sight that greeted them made some of them smile widely: Shinsou was running towards them with his little sister in his arms.

”Hello, Eri-chan!” Midoriya greeted the little girl after Shinsou had put her down. Eri didn’t answer, only looked to the side. Izuku looked at Hitoshi with worry in his eyes, who only smiled at him – it was the fakest smile the green haired boy had ever seen.

”Where is Aizawa-sensei?” Uraraka asked as she reached them. Izuku saw how Eri bit into her lip and Shinsou wrapping his hand around hers.

”Yes, the agreement was that you three would arrive together,” Iida agreed. Shinsou took a breath and looked at his classmates seriously.

”Aizawa-sensei is sick, so he couldn’t come.” Everyone gasped at that – including Eri.

”Toshi! Daddy asked us not to tell them!” Eri said with a pout and Hitoshi squeezed her hand with a smile.

”And you did well, sis,” he praised her, making Eri blush.

”What is his illness?” Yaoyorozu inquired, already in her practical mood.

”He has a really serious migraine,” Hitoshi explained with a sigh. ”He usually has those if he uses his quirk too much, but after his fight at USJ, They have gotten worse. He didn’t want you to know, because he didn’t want to ruin our fun.” Most of their classmates flinched, but Bakugou narrowed his eyes.

”All right, you extras!” He spoke up, grabbing everyone’s attention. ”What kinds of cures do you know that would help with headaches?”

Two hours later, the whole class were standing in front of the apartment building. Shoji had two big bags in his arms, holding them securely – they had all the things the class could think about as cures after all. Shinsou had his phone in hand and currently called his other dad.

”Hey, Toshi!” His dad greeted him on a much quitter voice than any other time. ”What’s up, little listener?”

”The whole class is in front of the complex, dad,” Hitoshi said with a smile on his lips. ”We brought some meds for dad.”

Yamada hung up immediately and walked out from the apartment. As he looked down over the railing, he saw 21 children with worry in his eyes. He had to blink because of the sudden wetness gathering in his eyes. After that, he hurried down to them.

”We brought tea, some meds, sweets and bottles of water – both mineral and fizzy,” Momo explained when their teacher reached them.

”Fizzy is good when it comes to nausea,” Jirou said and Hizashi patted her on the top of the head.

”H-how is daddy?” Eri asked, as if her voice would bother her dad even from here. Yamada knelt down and pulled her in a hug.

”He is asleep now, sweetheart,” he said to her, then looked up to the others, ”but I know he will be over the moon when he sees all your presents!”
