Chapter Text
“Kacchan! Look out!” Izuku shouted, mid-air after leaping from the ground, the cloak of his Full Cowling crackling around him.
“Shut it stupid Deku! I know!” Katsuki yelled back, using his quirk to blast himself backwards, avoiding the impact of a huge tree collapsing onto the forest floor.
Izuku carefully landed beside Katsuki, letting out a sigh of relief seeing that the other was unscathed. Flashes of light and sounds of explosions rumbled their surroundings, indicating further combat ensuing.
“Looks like we were separated from everyone else. We should look for a way to regroup with them Kacchan.”
“Damn! Who are these shitty villains?! And why am I stuck with you Shitty Deku?!”
“Kacchan! We need to focus right now and make sure everyone else is okay!” Izuku pleaded, facing the angry blonde of a childhood friend that he had.
“You can do that! If those extras can’t hold their own, they shouldn’t be heroes anyway! I’m gonna go find these shitty villains and blast their asses into next year!” Katsuki declared angrily, beginning to stomp towards the forested area where the last attack had appeared from.
“But Kaccha-“ Izuku began, but was abruptly interrupted by a voice.
A faint giggle attracted the duo’s attention making them instinctively turn their heads towards the noise and ready themselves in combat position. In the darkness of the forest, Izuku could faintly make out the outline of a ... little girl?
“Hey,” the voice spoke out smoothly, “are you supposed to be fighting amongst yourselves?”
Her pale white irises pierced through the darkness as stretched her body and stepped onto the moonlit ground before them.
--- 30 minutes prior ---
“Ahhh – it’s already late Sensei and we trained all day today! We have to continue even after dinner?” Mina whined, puffing out her pink cheeks in protest.
“This isn’t a training camp from hell for no reason. You all rarely train your quirks in the darkness of the night and this experience can prove useful in your futures. Don’t worry, work your hardest today and tomorrow’s training will be lighter.” Aizawa stated blandly, a smirk appearing on his features towards the end of his sentence.
“Sensei, last time we had a training camp like this we were training alongside Class 1-B, may I inquire why we are training with just our class this time?” Iida asked, performing his signature robot chops.
“Considering your class’s history with villain attacks, it’s not strange to consider the possibility that it will happen again. UA has decided to hold training camps for each class on separate occasions in order to protect and train everyone better.”
Iida nodded with a quick ‘Understood!’ uttered as the rest of the class began to warm up their bodies for training again. Everyone spread out into their designated training areas, some training with each other and others honing their skills individually. To prevent anyone from getting lost or straying too far from the group, Class 1-A was gathered in a clearing in the middle of the forest.
After finishing his stretches, Izuku fixed his gaze onto Katsuki who was currently sparking tiny explosions in his hands, controlling the size of the blast.
“Kacchan!” Izuku called out to Katsuki, lighting jogging towards the latter, earning a glare from him.
“What do you want Shitty Deku?” Katsuki spat, the sparking in his hands continuing despite the conversation. Izuku scratched the back of his head with a small sigh escaping his lips. What reaction had he been expecting? But nonetheless, Izuku pressed on with his intentions.
“Kacchan, do you want to train together? Sparring in the dark could be helpful with honing our senses in combat –“ Izuku paused a bit, remembering the last time that they had fought in the night, which had earned them house arrest.
“B-but of course we shouldn’t go all out! We should be mindful not to destroy our surroundings because that’s an important part of being a hero too!” Izuku sputtered out, continuing his mumbling under his breath about how excessive fighting might land them in another detention of sorts.
Katsuki considered the greenette’s offer, but ultimately felt his anger bubble up again upon listening to the familiar mumbling. Katsuki began to shout his reply back, “Who the hell would want to train with you Shitty Nerd?! Go practice your damn quirk somewhere el-“
Glimmers of light flashed in several directions surrounding the area. Reacting quickly, Katsuki and Izuku narrowly dodged the white, glowing crescent-shaped object that had just cut through several meters of the ground.
Out of his periphery, Izuku spotted several figures emerging from the shadows and attacks exchanging between those figures and his classmates.
‘Villains again?!’ Izuku discerned quickly in his thoughts.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me! These goddamned villains better be ready to taste the flames of hell if they got nerves to fuck with us again!” Katsuki exclaimed, visibly seething in anger as he scanned the area for enemies.
“Kacchan! Let’s head towards the area where everyone else is! And we’ll have to inform Aizawa-sensei of the situation as well!” Izuku called out to Katsuki who growled in response. Izuku began to make his move, powering up his Full Cowling and readying to sprint towards his classmates.
Suddenly, more crescent shaped objects zipped through the area where Izuku was about to head towards, effectively forcing himself and Katsuki to dodge and retreat further in the opposite direction.
---
Aizawa’s head jerked up, his eyes tearing away from the papers that he was grading in his temporary office within the training camp building. Slowly, he got up from his sitting position, the chair pushing out with a harsh screeching sound.
‘Those kids... there’s an awful amount of ruckus going on out there... not that is was unusual for them but – still seemed unusual.' Aizawa quietly thought, making his way to exit the building and check up on the class. With each step getting closer to the field grounds, his heartbeat quickened, a cold sweat breaking out on the back of his neck as a dreadful feeling filled his chest. His legs moved quicker until he made his way out of the building, quickly taking in the sight before him.
“Shit.” He muttered under his breath. The worst possible scenario had unfolded before him yet again. Aizawa cursed himself wondering if he jinxed himself earlier. Pulling down his googles, Aizawa began to rush towards the scene where he spotted some of his class fending off the villains.
A howling laughter erupted from above him. A villain leapt off the roof, using his quirk to eject jelly-like substance from his hands, aiming for Aizawa.
Reacting quickly, Aizawa’s eyes shot up, using his capture weapon in attempt to immobilize his attacker and his quirk to erase their quirk.
But it was too late, the jelly substance immediately engulfed Aizawa’s entire being, rendering him unable to move.
[A/N: Villain!Quirk/JELLY: can produce a thick, jelly-like substance from his hands and use it to immobilize targets. The jelly’s properties also include mild shock absorption and the ability to be clear or opaque. If clear, targets can see and breathe within the jelly. If opaque, targets cannot see or breathe within the jelly. Jelly’s time limit is 20 minutes.]
“Woah, woah there Eraserhead! That was a close one, ya’ almost got me!” The villain laughed, poking the jelly prison he had just created. “Unfortunately, we can’t afford to have you out there protecting your precious babies. Worry not Eraserhead! We’ll be on our way shortly after we complete our objective! None of your precious students will get hurt as long as they simply comply to a nap! – oh except for that one student of yours that we need.”
Aizawa grimaced at the villain’s dainty tone while uttering those vile words to him. He let his guard down and now he was rendered useless. The cloudy jelly substance around him wouldn’t release him no matter how much he tried to attack. And being unable to see through the opaque jelly, he couldn’t erase the damned quirk.
‘Shock Absorption?’ Aizawa mindlessly noted, and also added the fact the it was slowly but surely getting harder to breathe.
“You- you messed with the wrong kids.” Aizawa stuttered out, his eyelids getting heavier with each breath he took.
A laughter was faintly heard. “We’ll see about that.”
--- Present ---
Izuku’s heartbeat rose as his eyes warily darted around the white-haired girl before him. He carefully surveyed his surroundings, looking for possible ways to escape a fight.
‘Assuming this girl was a villain, it was safe to assume that she would have done her research before attacking, meaning that she’d know their quirks well enough to counter them.’ Izuku analyzed, eyes taking in the darkness around them. It was too dark to determine if there were other enemies hiding nearby.
“Hey you. Curly green-haired shortie.” The girl called out whilst pointing her index finger at Izuku. “Would you come with me? My boss said she needed to borrow you... I think she said something about your quirk being useful...” She stated calmly, her other hand twirling a stand of her hair.
“W-what?” Izuku managed to stutter out. It was hard to believe that an innocent looking girl like her could be villainous. But of course, he knew looks could be deceiving.
A small yawn sounded from the girl, hands rubbing her eyes gently. “Can you hurry up and come over here with me? I want to take a nap... using my power too much makes me tired.” She stated simply, another yawn emerging from her.
Katsuki’s fists clenched before he leapt up into the air, explosions popping from his punch as he aimed for the girl. “Quit your yapping like I’m not even here! I don’t care if you’re a little girl or not, I’ll kick your ass!” He angrily roared, his fists almost reaching her, but not before she held her hand up, a bright glow forming in her palm before she swiped her arm down quickly, producing the crescent shaped objects that they had seen earlier.
[A/N: Villain!Quirk/MOONLIGHT MANIPULATION: can absorb moonlight through her body and release razor sharp crescent shaped light attacks through her hands or feet. Quirk becomes more powerful if there is a fuller moon. Can only be used in the night and makes the quirk user tired enough to sleep through daylight hours.]
Izuku reacted quickly, using his Full Cowling to push Katsuki away from the attack as it zipped pass them, tearing down another tree behind them. Unfortunately, Izuku hadn’t been able to completely evade the attack, the light that grazed his leg left a burning wound in its wake.
“K-Kacchan! Are you okay?!” Izuku asked through panted breaths, checking the condition of the other and ignoring the slight pain he felt in his leg. His adrenaline was pumping anyway, he could deal with it later.
“I could have handle that on my own, asshole! What are you doing getting injured Shitty Deku? Are you dumb? Didn’t you fucking hear that you’re their damn target?! Get the fuck away from here!” Katsuki scolded, staring into Izuku’s eyes with what seemed to be... a hint of concern?
“I know! I know that Kacchan! But I can’t leave you here alone to fight. You saw her quirk right? Powerful, quick long distanced attacks. It’ll be hard for you to fight alone in these conditions. I’ll be careful, so let me help, okay Kacchan?”
Katsuki paused a bit before roughly snarling and getting up. “Don’t get in my way Deku.”
The little girl before them released a small sighed. “You want the hard way? I already asked you nicely though...” she mumbled, her hands prepping to release another attack.
“Yeah, that’s right you little shit. Why don’t you go play your games elsewhere?” Katsuki replied, using his hands to prepare his AP Shot attack. Izuku and Katsuki began their advance in trying to land a hit on the girl as she released countless crescents of moonlight, some of which found purchase in the flesh of Katsuki and Izuku as grazes and cuts.
After a few minutes, the duo were out of breath from constantly dodging the pale-haired villain’s attacks. An attack aimed directly between Katsuki and Izuku caused them to leap away from each other in order to evade the attack, separating them into different directions.
Suddenly, Katsuki and Izuku found themselves enclosed by a transparent blue box that appeared to be a barrier.
“Sorry about my tardiness, those brats took a little longer to deal with than I thought. But, looks like you’ve got some trouble here for yourself huh?” An average-sized, black-haired man appeared from beyond the forest’s darkness, patting the head of the little villain that they had been fighting. She nodded briefly before yawning again.
[A/N: Villain!Quirk/BARRIER: can create box-shaped barriers around anything in any size or thickness. The larger the barrier is, the thinner the walls and the weaker it is.]
The male figure released a small chuckle, “Well, all our mains are here so let’s end this quickly and get back alright?” This earned him another nod.
Izuku’s blood ran cold upon hearing the villain’s exchange. ‘Mains? Here? Not good. Kacchan and I need to get out of here quick.’ Izuku’s thoughts ended as he used a SMASH to burst through the barrier. Katsuki also leapt into action, exploding the barrier as well.
The male whistled shortly, “Wow, our boss wasn’t kidding that you kids were strong. How would you like to join our organization? Of course, you’d have to behave though.” His hands moved quickly, resurrecting a smaller, thicker barrier around Izuku, effectively stopping his advance as he crashed face first into the new barrier.
Katsuki moved quickly, exploding through the air towards his enemies, but his punch was countered as another villain appeared through the shadows and a hand full of jelly-like substance grabbed onto Katsuki’s fist and pushed him to the ground.
Katsuki groaned as he tried to shake off the jelly engulfing his hand.
“What the hell?!” Katsuki exclaimed, activating his quirk’s explosions that we quickly absorbed into the jelly.
“Oops, sorry there buddy. Can’t risk having you ruin the plans!” The jelly villain spoke as his hand shot more clear jelly until it engulfed Katsuki’s entire body as it did with Aizawa. “Don’t worry, I’ll let you breathe in there since you’re just a kid. The jelly will disappear in 20 minutes or so, so just go back to see your little classmates later alright?” The jelly villain continued, posing a quick ‘OK’ sign in front of Katsuki.
“KACCHAN!” Izuku cried out, readying a SMASH to break free from his captivity once again.
As he destroyed the barrier, another villain rushed behind him, giving a harsh tap to the back of Izuku’s head. Suddenly, Izuku’s vision blurred and he stumbled on the ground he was standing on as he blinked to see an unfamiliar scenery before him. A dark forest scene was before him, exactly like the forest that they were currently fighting in, but it... wasn’t the area that Izuku and Katsuki had just been fighting.
[A/N: Villain!Quirk/VISION SWAP: can swap the visions of the last two individuals that he had touched. The swap lasts for approximately 20 seconds. In this case, the swap was between Izuku and a villain minion that was located in a different area of the training camp forest grounds.]
Strangely enough, Izuku still heard those villains around him and felt rope restraining his wrists and ankles. He tried to resist, but it was futile as he couldn’t see any of the villains or Kacchan.
“Sorry kid, it’s a bit unpleasant but we gotta disorient you a bit to complete our task.” The villain spoke into his ear as he restrained Izuku. Katsuki watched helplessly, endlessly using his quirk to blast through the jelly prison as he watched Izuku get dragged towards the group of villains.
Another villain, dressed in complete monotone camouflage stepped out to meet the group.
“Ooh! Perfect timing. We’re all set so let’s head back!” The jelly villain promptly explained and touched his hand to the other’s shoulder. All of the other villains did the same, making sure to make contact with the camouflage man’s body.
[A/N: Villain!Quirk/TELEPORTATION: can teleport anyone/anything as long as they are touching his body at the time of transport. Can only be used once per 24 hours.]
After being fed up with Izuku’s struggling a squirming, one of the villains made quick work and gave a thwack to the back of Izuku’s neck. At that moment, the 20 second time limit expired on the vision quirk used on him. Feeling the strength leaving his body, Izuku tried to reorient himself as black spots danced in his vision.
Katsuki blasted the jelly relentlessly, wearing out the effects of the shock absorption and destroying it into tiny pieces as he watched the villains assault the pressure point in Izuku’s neck to knock him unconscious.
“DEKU!” Katsuki howled as he raced towards the nearly unconscious Izuku.
Izuku watched through hooded eyes; the vision of Kacchan running towards him with his hand outstretched.
“Kacchan...” Izuku breathed out, “Don’t... come.”
And in an instant, Izuku disappeared from Katsuki’s sight, along with the villains.
'I'm sorry Kacchan...'
