Wei Ying always thought the hardest memory to forget would be his last with his parents. But he was wrong, oh so very wrong, it was meeting and falling in love with the one person he should not have. He lost so much because of a mistake; a stupid rule broken by his parent’s, but the consequences taken out on him. So why did he think that it would be any different for him? What they have done is twice as inexcusable to what his parents did, he does not want to think of the consequences for theirs. His parent’s crime was forgotten with his exile but to forgive and forget theirs? He fears they will seek a life, his life or the unborn child’s, maybe both. The elders may have exiled him, but they still seem to think they rule over him, well he will kill them all before he allows them to kill anyone he cares for.
Or Wei Ying is not human, and was exiled from his home, proceeds to fall in love with Lan Zhan and like history, they find themselves repeating their parent’s crimes while fighting a war.
