Summary
Number 4 was different from the other children in the academy.
Different, not in the way that Number 7 was ordinary, but in the way that he confronted his extraordinary abilities. With the ability to commune with the dead and levitate at only four years of age, Number 4 was the only one of the children to produce a secondary ability and had proven himself to arguably be the most powerful of the bunch.
But, of course, there was an issue that set little Number 4 sticking out like a sore thumb- one thing that truly set Number 4 apart from his siblings.
Number 4 was afraid.
