Work Text:
Once upon a time, Demon King lived in the forest along with his minions and the monsters. No one knows if the story is real. Some call it a legend, some call it a myth, and some just call it bullshit.
But then again, those who called it fake also dared to enter the woods… only to never come back.
The villagers constantly asked themselves, "What is the lie? What is the truth?"
If there was a Demon King in the forest, then this Demon King also didn't hurt anyone who was outside of the woods, nor did he ever descend upon their village for the last 200 years.
According to the generation from 400 years ago, a demon descended with black wings, horns and a white cloak. His hair was black and his eyes were kind, and he had rescued their village from invaders once. He summoned the beasts and demons of the forest in order to protect the village. Demon King was proud that he had slaughtered the invaders with zero casualties on the villagers’ side. Not soon after, a much bigger demonic angel came, choked their saviour and dragged him back to the forest after breaking his wings and making a bloody mess of the demon. Another, beautiful angelic demon appeared and tried to stop the bigger one from hurting their offspring… only to be beaten down as well. The villagers who witnessed that would never forget the wails and screams of the mother and child, and were rendered terrified.
They were paying the price because the child helped them.
Then they understood. There is a Demon King, his son and his wife. The child was benevolent, the mother was kind, and the father was cruel.
After this incident, the village asked some demon slayers to help them rescue the child and mother, because they owed them their lives, and only put a bounty on the father demon. But whoever went into the forest never came back. Except for one. The older demon slayer they sent managed to come back, bloodied, with one arm less, but also with news.
The Demon King had chained their son so that he couldn’t leave their little stone castle, and the mother tried to help him escape. The last thing he saw after almost blacking out was his mother’s corpse impaled on the Demon King’s hand, while the son had stabbed the father with a knife from the back, trembling and shaken.
As the demon hunter was on the verge of death, he could neither verify what happened, nor if the wound was fatal, but the villagers had awarded him, mended his wounds and allowed him to leave.
They at least hoped that the mother and son were now safe. As a form of gratitude, they called the child the Demon King of Salvation and his mother the Founder's Mother.

In the present...
A new governor had started managing the village. His name was Han Myungoh, and he wanted to make the village prosper. But the villagers still refused to go into the woods nearby, and when Han Myungoh started investigating, he found out that they were afraid of the Demon King, his son and his wife.
So he hired a squad of demon hunters. While he waited, his assistant Yoo Sangah, new to the village as well, started to make enquiries, peering curiously at the legend here and there. The more she heard, the more she liked this Demon King of Salvation.
The things Yoo Sangah had found out:
1. The Demon King of Salvation was called the Only Child/Dokja. Since in this era, the name Only Child can be read as Reader too, she preferred to address the Demon King as that. She believed it was too sad that he was named as Only Child, as if it was a curse that would bound him like a shackle for eternity.
2. The villagers were convinced that Kim Dokja had been protecting them from the shadows. Whenever someone attacked them, they were protected from the hounds, the wolves, and the demonic creatures that would all come to massacre any invaders, leaving behind only blood and armor. They knew that the old Demon King was probably dead so they always sent a goat with a small cart, filled with pastries, food, meat, wheat, and some books as an offering to the Demon King of Salvation and his mother.
3. They never entered the woods. Every stranger who did never returned.
4. They never hired the demon hunters. This Demon King saved generations upon generations of their people, so they would never fathom hurting their kind and benevolent savior.
5. There were curious demon hunters suicidal enough to pursue and hunt down the infamous Demon King from the legend. They would enter the forest, and never come back.
As she relied all of that to her boss, Han Myungoh just shook his head. “A piece of land without access to the forest is useless to me. We should expand the village, make buildings, and turn this land into a perfectly profitable resort and tourist attraction!” He slammed a hand on the desk, glared at Yoo Sangah and said, “The hunters will arrive soon. Kill those two or drive them away, or better yet, tell them to come and live here! Whatever, I just want to make sure that nothing. Stands. In. My. Way.”

Yoo Sangah has been standing near the road at the entrance of the village, waiting for a carriage to arrive. She knew everything, knew what she should do, but also had high hopes for these hunters to get to the castle alive in order to set the Demon King of Salvation free.

Yoo Joonghyuk has been sleeping with his head leaned on the sword, while his companions talked about the legend. He wasn’t actually sleeping — he was a light sleeper — but he preferred to rest whenever he could.
“And this is the end of the legend of the Demon King of Salvation. What do you think?” Han Sooyoung asked as she looked at the rest of her companions. The first who replied was, as always, Lee Jihye.
“Maybe he doesn’t want anyone to see him because he is ugly?”
“Lee Jihye, that probably has nothing to do with why he's not showing up. Our job is apparently to either kill him and his mother, or to get them to come to the village.” Jung Heewon interfered.
“But what if this is a trap? What if this demon is actually morally good, and we lead him back to the village, only to deliver him to the people that want to use him? Remember what happened to Asmodeus? It was almost the same situation. He was playful and loved humans, but we delivered him to his torturers. Because of the pain and insanity he went through, he slaughtered the whole city. We were forced to kill him, and for what?” Lee Hyunsung asked, eyes darting between all of them. “Whom do we believe?”
“Guess we will know when we find this Demon King of Salvation. If he doesn’t attack us, good. If he does, he’s dead. Easy.”
Everyone in the carriage turned their heads towards Yoo Joonghyuk, who spoke as if it was the easiest job in the world to kill a demon king.

Even though the leader of the group was Yoo Joonghyuk, the official name for the group was Han Sooyoung’s Corporation. Yoo Sangah wondered why they didn't go under a different name, when it was pretty much obvious that these two were the heart and the brain of this entire band of misfits.
There were 5 of them in total: Yoo Joonghyuk, Han Sooyoung, Lee Jihye, Lee Hyunsung and Jung Heewon. Apparently, there were more of them, but they were busy hunting down smaller demons in the other village west of them.
“Welcome, Han Sooyoung’s Corporation team. My boss and I, Han Myungoh, would love to talk to you about our problem. This way.”

Han Sooyoung was the last to exit the office. They were all quiet and deep in thought.
“Well, apparently, her story says that this Demon King of Salvation is morally good and shouldn’t be harmed. "
“But what is going on with the people who disappear when they enter the woods? Is it enchanted? Is it because the king can’t control his demon pawns?” Jung Heewon asked, thinking about everything that was said.
“We'll just kill everything that attacks us. Simple as that.” Yoo Junghyuk then looked at them all.
“I agree”, Han Sooyoung nodded. “No point in dying. I still haven’t finished my book about different species of demon kings.” She sighed and said again. “Rest, we will leave in the morning.”

The more they went into the woods, the darker it got. The trees started to cover the sky, until nothing could be seen anymore.
Demonic creatures and wolves had been attacking them almost constantly. Lee Jihye was almost hurt, but Jung Heewon intercepted and bore the brunt of the attack in her place instead. It was only a shallow bite wound on the arm, but Jung Heewon assured her party members that it wasn’t too deep, and it was her non-dominant arm, anyways.
After giving her healing tonics and bandages, they moved on.
₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪
The deeper they went through, the more dangerous it became. There were a few close calls, but Lee Hyunsung mostly took it upon himself to be the tanker of the group. Without him, Han Sooyoung would have probably lost her head in the most recent attack.
₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪
Among them all, Yoo Junghyuk and Jung Heewon were the ones who killed the most.
₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪
They finally saw a castle. It was a small, two-story castle covered in willows. It was decaying and gloomy, almost as if no one took care of it for centuries (which, as Han Sooyoung noted, was the actual case). There was no one around, except for the creepy cawks of the crows above.
The castle was under the vast sky, without the trees covering it. It was like it stood at the center of the forest. In the field nearby they saw two graves. One was only a monument with nothing written on it, while on the other…
[The Founder’s Mother,
may she forever look upon Demon King of Salvation
and give him strength to endure the loneliness]
So, Han Sooyoung thought. It seems only the son survived.
It took them 12 hours to reach the castle. As they started to approach it, they saw two furred, white and almost round shaped demons with yellow horns (one had two, while the other one had only one) floating towards them.
They all prepared their swords, but when the two creatures came close enough, they stopped moving.
The two horned one, eyes red and suspicious, glared at them.
“Who are you? How dare you enter his forest? Do you want to die?” The creature asked, while the smaller one stood guard at the door of the castle. But as they observed, it seemed that the one horned creature wouldn’t enter. Yoo Junghyuk thought, how interesting. Shouldn’t it notify the Demon King of our arrival?
“We are Han Sooyoung's Corporation. We are searching for the Demon King of Salvation. You and your… partner should stand aside and let us pass.” Han Sooyoung said, watching the two of them for any sudden movements.
“You too… You too came to kill him… when will you stop… all of you humans…. WHEN WILL YOU LEARN YOUR PLACE!!!” The creature's voice, that was almost like a man's, suddenly became so deep and sharp.
The white demon’s face morphed into a horrifying sight, and it pounced on Lee Jihye first. Jung Heewon blocked the attack, but the creature moved fast and slammed Lee Hyunsung, who was trying to approach it from behind.
Yoo Junghyuk and Han Sooyoung looked at each other, nodded, and went towards the second creature. They both knew the rest of them could handle one demon on their own.
The second creature was much smaller than the first. If the first one was the size of the bear, the other was the size of a wolf. It glared at them fiercely, and if not for the shaking of the creature, they would probably be attacking already.
“You… you can’t enter. Don’t hurt him anymore, p...please. He doesn’t deserve it.” A soft, girl-like voice begged Han Sooyoung and Yoo Joonghyuk.
“I haven't seen your kind before, so what and who are you?” Han Sooyoung asked.
“My name is Biyoo. The one fighting your people is my father Bihyung. Our species is called Dokkaebi. Kim Dokja saved my sire from the hunters, while he was carrying me inside. The prince back then sent demons to get rid of the pests. That’s when my parent pledged loyalty. We have protected him from many humans! But everytime they came, they always wished for his death! Bihyung never let them go! He would never allow anyone to hurt Kim Dokja! He was already hurt enough! So don’t! Don’t hurt him! Please! I’m begging you!”
“Then why doesn’t he come out to help you? Why is he using someone like you, who could easily die by our hands?” Yoo Junghyuk asked, looking at Bihyung, then switched his gaze back to Biyoo. “At this point, your Bihyung will die too. I don’t think the two of you met a hunter group like ours yet.”
“Don’t… don’t…”
Han Sooyoung interrupted Biyoo. “We don’t want to kill him. We just want to talk to him and let him know about our proposal. Let us see him, and we won’t kill anyone. Please. We won’t hurt any of you! Just tell your parent to stop attacking my people.”
Biyoo looked at them doubtfully, then switched his gaze over to Bihyung and shouted in a demonic language.
Bihyung stopped, and lept two meters back and stood almost near them. “What do you want, humans?”
“We just want to talk. We have a proposal, so let us in.” Han Sooyoung explained.
“If you dare to do anything to him, we will rip you to pieces.” Bihyung nodded to Biyoo and then the two of them opened the door to the castle.
The others followed after Han Sooyoung waved her hand to show them it was alright. The trio was alright, with only a few shallow wounds.
“Damn it, I almost had it! If I had succeeded in harming it, maybe Master Yoo Joonghyuk would have complimented me on my progress!”
“Lee Jihye, you’re doing good, but you have to be careful of yourself, you almost gave me a heart attack! If it wasn’t for me protecting you from that first blow, who knows what could have happened?!” Jung Hewoon shook her head hopelessly. “Seriously…”
“Hurry up,” Yoo Junghyuk said.
₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪
There was one word that went through Han Sooyoung's mind - abandoned. There was barely any furniture displayed. A table here and there, covered in dust, and a family picture at the center of the room. A kind looking woman, a cruel looking man and a kid with his gaze looking down. All of them were horned and winged.
Bihyung led them to the second floor, towards the room at the very end of the halfway.
In the room there was a wardrobe, a table with a chair, and a huge bed. The Demon King they were searching for was sleeping.
But that’s not what shocked them. The demon’s legs and arms were chained to the bed, with the chains nailed to the floor, probably long enough that he could move around the room freely, but not enough to go outside. The shackles had blackened the demon’s skin and there was blood all over the place.
“Who… Who did this to him?!” Han Sooyoung asked, obviously shaken by the sight.
“His father. Who else?” Bihyung said. “I will elaborate if you are interested, but I suggest you listen to my story first.
“I was a low grade demon, with no one to look after me, despite carrying a little one. I entered the forest while demon hunters chased me. I knew it was demonic in nature so I willingly went in, but those hunters were good trackers. That’s when Kim Dokja saved me and my unborn child. I swore that I would forever follow this young demon, because he was kind and he was willing to help us survive.
“But his family was not as kind as him. His mother was cold on the outside, but whenever she was alone with Kim Dokja, she would hug him and whisper to him that everything was alright. Her husband, the former Demon King, would often hit them whenever he was frustrated. It was a miracle I wasn’t killed by the former Demon King. Maybe it was because I was too weak, and he loved destroying living things and torturing them...”
“Is this why there are two Demon Kings in the legend? One evil and one good? From what I found out, this demon is called Demon King of Salvation, because he saved this nearby village from invaders.” Han Sooyoung leaned on the wall with hands crossed and continued. “The local legend never explained if the father demon survived.”
Bihyung stared at them, before moving his gaze to the sleeping man. “His father… he only lived to torture them both. He often threatened to kill them, and blackmailed the mother using the son to carry out his bidding. When Kim Dokja left the castle, 400 years ago, he went to the village. He was always fascinated with humans and their culture and would gaze upon them like a star. He would order the demons to chase the game so the hunters could easily hunt them. This time, he saw the village under attack and commanded the beasts and demons to kill the invaders. He himself went there, fought against their leader and defeated him. After the battle, he wanted to fly away, when the villagers bowed to him and thanked him for saving them. It was a mistake. If he had gone before the former Demon King arrived, it would have been fine. But what followed after was horrifying, even by demonic standards. His father found him in the village and dragged him away.
“Former Demon King chained him with golden enchanted chains. Their purpose was to constantly bring pain upon the wearer, inflicting wounds on them as long as they are alive. The wounds wouldn’t heal despite accelerated demonic healing, and even then, the curse on the shackles would weaken the demon’s powers, so the normal regeneration speed gradually slowed down. These shackles were the product of Archangel Metatron, who made them to imprison the demon race. I don’t know how the previous Demon King got his hands on one, but he’d use them to chain his family whenever he could. “
No one in the room dared to breathe. All of them were so invested in the story Bihyung was telling.
“After the incident in the village 400 years ago, he broke Kim Dokja’s wings, legs, arms and declawed him until he was a bloody mess. The mistress couldn’t stand the abuse so she attacked the former Demon King, despite her wounds, before he hurt their son more. The two of them fought, and when the Demon King killed his mother, Kim Dokja killed his father with the knife she dropped. That was when he lost everything because none of his parents set him free, and he’d been confined to this room ever since. Kim Dokja asked me to bury his parents, and go near the human village from time to time to check on them. I kept watch over the humans for many generations. Whenever someone attacked them,—bandits, thieves, armies—I would report them and he would order me to send lower rank demons to get rid of them. He would never hurt innocent people. We are the reason he is still sane, because we can reassure him that his father is dead. If he doesn't see any of us, he loses his mind and tries to kill himself. So don't hurt him… he's been alone for far too long."
The party exchanged their gazes and looked at the bandages on the demon king's body. They were everywhere. Neck, thighs, stomach.
"When he doesn't see me or Biyoo, and is only surrounded by chains, he starts to panic and begins to mutilate himself," Biyoo explained, hovering over the bed. “Usually, he doesn’t want to live. But the villagers have been kind enough to send him a lot of books over the years as a tribute and that’s when he usually awakes from his slumber. He only returns to it, once he’s done with the books he received. "
Biyoo shook his shoulder. "Dokja, my father, my friend, my brother… wake up. We have visitors."
Kim Dokja opened his eyes slowly and smiled towards Biyoo. "Hello, Biyoo. How are you?" He whispered, as if he was afraid that someone would hurt him for raising his voice. He carefully raised his arm to wrap it around Biyoo.
"Father, we have guests. Don't…" but the moment she said that, Kim Dokja snapped his head and looked at them. His eyes widened as he quickly unfurled his wings, took Biyoo in his arms and enveloped her.
Han Sooyoung looked on as his back shivered, curled up with Biyoo in his arms, protecting her under his wings. “Biyoo, it’s alright, I won’t let them hurt you, I won’t let anyone harm you. Bihyung… where is Bihyung?”
“I’m here. Kim Dokja, listen to me. They won’t harm you.”
“Lies, lies, lies, I want to wake up, this is a dream… dream, I’m sorry, father, d-don’t hurt Biyoo or Bihyung, father, hurt only me, p-please.”
“Kim Dokja, he's dead. You killed him, remember? These people are… different. They are here to talk to you.” Bihyung implored, moving his hand up and down his back.
“Dad, please, listen to us,” Biyoo pleaded.
It took a few minutes for him to stop shaking, but eventually, he let Biyoo go and upwarped his wings.
Despite being distressed a moment ago, when he turned around, the look in his eyes was almost murderous.
“Why have you come here?”
Han Sooyoung stepped forward and started explaining. "My name is Han Sooyoung. We came here at the request of the village you had been guarding. They have a new governor now and plan to expand the territory in order to make it more accessible for living. They want to make a city out of it, as they’ve found plenty of investors. There are a lot of places to build, and no one will touch your forest, but the demonic creatures you have here are a big threat to their expansion. So they told me to offer you a deal. Note to you, if any of us died along the way, we simply would have killed you all and be done with it. But considering how we are all alive, we will now tell you.”
Kim Dokja nodded, but watched them carefully as his nails turned longer and sharper, as if ready to pounce on them and kill them at any given chance. Yoo Junghyuk admired this change. This person, though he seemed mentally unbalanced and traumatized now, still had the guts to fight and protect his own. At least he didn't seem like a complete coward.
“We have a way to set you free. Yoo Junghyuk has a sword here that can cut through anything, and I’m sure he can cut your chains…”
“But what if he can’t, what then?” Kim Dokja interrupted. “What will you do if you can’t set me free?”
“Even if we can't right now, we can always find a way later. Anyway, to continue where I left off. Han Myungoh offered that if we don’t kill you, we either bring you back to the village, so you can live there or leave you alone here, free, under the condition that you won’t ever harm any human again, no matter what happens, even should they enter the forest. If you do, you will be hunted down like an animal. If it’s one of your demons, you will need to kill the demon and throw their corpse out of the forest, so the people know that the culprit is killed. An eye for an eye.
“But don’t get me wrong. The Villagers begged me to be reasonable with you. After all, you protected them for generations. As long as your demons don’t harm anyone, you will be left alone.”
“What if they come to hunt me down? Do you know how many came and tried to kill me? Bihyung certainly counted… How many was it again?”
“Exactly 1863 ever since I came. 1863 lives that wanted to hurt our King, despite him never harming anyone innocent.”
“What about any lost villagers? Or lost children?” Yoo Junghyuk asked the most important question. “Are you sure you never harmed anyone innocent?”
“I… I…. I have never… never harmed… an innocent person-”
“He didn’t. But I did.” Bihyung interrupted. “I killed anyone who dared to attack this place. But there was one human who was already wounded. He refused to attack the demons. He was a new demon slayer, and he was deemed useless by their leader back then, so his leader stabbed him and left him to die before proceeding further into the forest. I showed up then, and he told me to kill him because the pain was unbearable and he was already dying slowly. Don’t blame his death on Kim Dokja. He only killed 2 people: The leader of the invaders back then and his own father. No one else.”
“Okay, if you’re done interrupting my awesome speech, can I continue? Yes? Thank you,” Han Sooyoung said.
“So the plan is simple. You can join us. We could use a good demon to help us fight. We already have Abyssal Black Flame Dragon on our side and Secretive Plotter. Both high ranked demons. But we could also use you. You can also bring your demons to us, as we have a place where we can settle them. Abyssal Black Flame Dragon has an entire territory for his underlings and wouldn’t mind sharing some space…”
Lee Jihye interrupted, “As long as you tell him first!”
“Shush, you, the adults are talking!”
“You!”
“Stop, stop, please,” Lee Hyunsung requested, stepping between them.
“Okay, the other option is that you live like a normal human among the citizens, your identity will be protected and you will be able to control the forest. Third option is that you stay here, control your demons. Fourth option is that we kill you all. So, what will you choose?”
“Set me free first. Then give me a day to decide. I swear upon my blood, upon my soul, upon my very being that I will not harm any of you, nor will my demons, for as long as you stay in this castle. Do we have a deal?”
“Sure. Yoo Junghyuk, if you would do the honor?”
Yoo Junghyuk approached, never taking his eyes off Kim Dokja, who flinched when he sat on the bed and put his sword around the first chain. This reaction didn’t go unnoticed, but Kim Dokja quickly put back his uninterested expression as he looked at the chain.
The first chain fell. Then the others. And only the shackles were left. Yoo Junghyuk took his hand and placed a sword on the place where the shackle were connected.
“This will hurt when I take it off. Endure.” Yoo Junghyuk said, before violently snapping his sword down, cutting his arm in the process. Kim Dokja gasped from pain, but didn’t scream, despite almost having his arm slashed in half. Biyoo and Bihyung both looked like they were going to kill them all, before Kim Dokja calmed himself down and reassured them. “I’m fine, it doesn’t hurt, I’m fine”.
“Good,” Yoo Junghyuk said, before taking his other hand to snap the shackle. This time he didn’tmove nor flinch. “You have a high pain tolerance.”
“You would have it too if you spent your whole life having your bones and tendons ripped out for fun, you basta—”
And that’s when he slashed the leg shackle. “Motherfucking…” He wheezed. “I hate you, I hate you, I hate you so much, give me a moment to breathe, you….”
Finally, all four shackles were snapped, and Kim Dokja fell back into the bed, curling up into a ball, with his wings protecting him.
“Are you done?,” Biyoo asked, glaring at them murderously. “Leave him to rest, go away.”

“So, what do you think he will choose?” Lee Jihye asked, munching on an apple. “Looks to me like he might just stay here.”
“And miss all the fun he could have with us?” Han Sooyoung said, writing in her notebook. “I doubt it. He will go with us. So, his family has raven black wings and small horns. Interestingly, they are a different breed of demons. Anyway, what do you all think?”
“I hope he will go with us. It looks like he needs help,” Jung Hewoon said, playing with her sword.“ He was hurt a lot, it’s hard to trust others… Like how it was hard for me to trust in men again after everything that happened. But now I have Lee Hyunsung, so it’s alright. Maybe he needs someone to show him how to live again.”
“As long as he doesn’t hurt innocents, I’m fine with anything,” Lee Hyunsung said. “But he definitely needs help.”
“As long as he’s useful, he can come with us.”
“Yoo Junghyuk! Whether or not he has some use or not, it would be good if we can get him on our side! Think of it this way. The more people we have, the stronger we are. And he’s a Demon King class, so he should be very strong!”
“Han Sooyoung, you just want to get him into your collection of bizarre creatures”.
“Shut up, Jung Hewoon.”

“Do you want to go?”
“Go where?”
“With them.”
“And leave everything?”
“Yes.”
“I’m afraid.”
“I know. But it will be alright. We will be with you. If anyone dares to touch you, Kim Dokja, we will rip them apart.”
“I know you will, Biyoo. You and your father have been the only anchor of my sanity for the last few centuries.”
“I don’t want you to be alone anymore. Maybe you will even fall in love. I noticed the way you looked at two of them. Are they to your liking?”
“Han Sooyoung and Yoo Junghyuk?” Kim Dokja was stunned that she could so easily see through him. “How did you know?”
“Your cheeks are red.”
“Damn you.”
“I love you, father.”
“...I love you too.”

“... and he said that he would travel with us and help us hunt demons. He will take all of his demons in the territory, so the forest will be yours to use. But he also told you to remember: you will be left unprotected. If you talk about him, or if you talk about us taking him away, we will hunt you down and erase you from history, alright?” Han Sooyoung smiled viciously as she leaned on the table across Han Myungoh.
“Yes, yes, everything is fine, here’s your money, now just go away.”
“And another thing?”
“What now?”
“Yoo Sangah requested to leave with us. She will be our librarian and language interpreter. You are not paying her enough for all the knowledge she possesses. Bye!”
“WHAT!”
₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪₪
Yoo Sangah stared at the village she had been working in for a few months. “Where are we going?”
“To the unknown, wherever the wind takes us,” Han Sooyoung narrated, as if she was writing a conclusion to one of her stories.
Yoo Junghyuk looked at the Demon King of Salvation, who finally learned how to smile after Lee Jihye cracked a joke about sunfish. Bihyung and Biyoo shrunk down into small furry balls, so they wouldn’t be too noticeable. Kim Dokja still couldn’t figure out how to hide his wings, but it was okay. They still had time before they reached the next location. What was more important was that their newest family member was slowly opening up.
Yoo Sangah also got along with everyone. She proved to be very useful, and could easily understand Biyoo and Bihyung once they explained their language structure.
“We are going to the place where we belong. Everyone is waiting for us.” Han Sooyoung said.
Their home will now have more members. Yoo Joonghyuk smiled, knowing that someday, even these demons they picked up will find a place to belong.
“Why are you smiling Yoo Junghyuk? That’s so creepy,” Han Sooyoung teased, waving a lemon lollipop in front of his face.
“Do you have a deathwish?”
“Bring it on you depressing sunfish bastard, i dare you to—”
{But that’s a story for another time.}
