A train is coming to the station, looks like echoes wasn’t needed. Unfortunately, Hazamada and his stand crossed the track right before the barriers came down, forcing Josuke and Koichi to take the alternate route, hoping that they can make it in time. Meanwhile , S urface , disguis ed as Josuke , runs up to Jotaro while Hazamada hides.
“I made it in time...” He says panting a bit, and a bit smugly, Jotaro notes.
“You ran into a stand user, right? What happened?”
“Well, you see...” ‘ Josuke ’ trailed off, grabbing Jotaro’s arm. “I need you to leave this town, and never come back. Don’t meddle in other people’s business. ”
Jotaro steps back eyes widening a little bit. “What did you do with Josuke?”
“Oh, don’t worry about him. I’m sure he’s fine, trying to get to you. He got caught up by the train though, so when he finally reaches you, you’ll be nothing but a corpse.”
Jotaro narrows his eyes and brings out his stand. That’s when S urface starts to morph into something more familiar , a little too familiar.
“You see,” ‘Jotaro’ says, “I can morph into whoever I touch, and if I’m looking at the person I ’m copying...” ‘Jotaro’ moves his hand into the air, the one that wasn’t broken, and Jotaro’s does the same. ‘Jotaro’ smiles, and it’s really unnerving to see because Jotaro does the same. Star Platinum lunges but S urface steps back.
Damnit, not another copying stand. This one can force me to copy its movements. I have to get within range, but it seems as if they already know that. Shit.
“Just as I thought, you and Josuke have similar ranges. If I just stay out of your range, this will be a piece of cake.”
Hazamada is enjoying the show going on, but he can see Josuke and Koichi running- and fast. Hazamada communicates with his stand to get a move on, and ‘Jotaro’ tilts his head down.
“Good grief, your friends really want to save you. Too bad they’ll be too late!” ‘Jotaro’ punches himself, lots of momentum behind it but not hi tting himself very hard, due to the fact that he’s made of wood. Jotaro, however, didn’t get so lucky. He decked himself in the face, and fell to the ground, recovering quite quickly though.
“ So, you can take a punch . I nteresting, but how about something you won’t recover from as easily...”
Just what is this bastard trying to do?
Jotaro feels himself fish through his coat, stopping only when he grabs a pen.
“It’s a trick I’ve used many times before, but a reliable one none the less!” ‘Jotaro’ brings his clutched hand to his eye.
Shit shit shit shit shit-
Jotaro doubles back in pain, doing his best to hide it.
“While we’re at it...” ‘Jotaro’ moves his hand to his other eye. “We can’t have you being able to see, now can we?” Before S ur f ace can get Jotaro’s other eye, Star Platinum appears and blocks his hand from going any further.
“Damnit, if only I could control stands too ...” S urface shrugged it off and turned his attention to the stand in front of him. “I know you can stop time but won’t be enough to stop me. You only hav e a few seconds, that’s not enough time to cross this distance, however. Stop time all you want; you can’t defeat me.”
“Thank you, I think I will.”
‘Jotaro’ widen s his eyes right before part of his face chipped off, met by the scene of Star Platinum’s index and middle figure retreating back into its original state, almost as if they were stretched...
“Guess you didn’t do enough research on me, huh?” While it was hard to aim with one blinded eye, Star Platinum’s other eye could pinpoint the target easily. Jotaro just wished Josuke would show up soon and heal him, it was really becoming a pain in the ass being partially blind. Was this how Kakyoiin felt?
As if his prayers had been heard, Josuke showed up, taken aback by the scene before him. He immediately ran towards Jotaro while Koichi looked for Hazamada. Josuke made it to Jotaro, the one with the bleeding eye .
“Damnit, that stand got you pretty good. Koichi’s looking for the user, here, let me heal you.”
Just as Josuke was healing Jotaro, Jotaro felt himself being controlled, and feeling he had quickly become familiar with.
“Shit, Josuke get back!”
Jotaro decked Josuke across the face, right after healing him too.
“Damnit, that’s right. I can’t get close to you, otherwise S urface will make you punch me. If I get too close to S urface , however, he’ll just copy me. Shit ...”
“ Josuke watch out!” Koichi yelled. He looked up to see Jotaro which one was this? coming to punch him, barely dodging out of the way , but disorienting him in the process. Suddenly, there were two Jotaros , identical positions , one hand in a pocket and the us ual stoic face , turned to the side just a little bit for some reason , both staring heavily at each other.
Josuke couldn’t remember which was the real Jotaro. He looked at both of them carefully, knowing that his decision would determine the outcome- or so it would’ve.
In the small window of time that Josuke was distracted thinking , 'Jotaro’ punched him , quickly morphing into Josuke again . Spots of blood littered Josuke’s and ‘Josuke’’s faces. ‘ Josuke ’ lunged at Josuke and Josuke brought out his stand. Even though Crazy Diamond was out, Josuke had to mimic ‘Josuke’’s movements, so punching him and causing him to fly backwards wasn’t the best idea. He called back his stand.
Josuke couldn’t let Jotaro touch S urface , and he couldn’t get Crazy Diamond to hit him either, both Joestars were at a standstill . The most dangerous part, however, is that they needed to figure out a way to differentiate between the stand and the person, in case they did figure out something to. Josuke wiped his forehead, and ‘ Josuke ’ followed suit quickly. Jotaro’s eyes darted between the two quickly. He figured stopping time would get the job done, but it would be a problem if he pummeled his uncle to no return , there had to be a different way. He locked eyes with one of the Josukes : Josuke . Then he turned to the other Josuke.
I see... I guess that’s what you wanted to show me, huh?
“ Hey Josuke!”
Both Josukes turned to him.
“He messed up your pompadour.”
Josuke turned to Jotaro with a fierce look in his eyes, but Jotaro’s look was able to deter him from moving... somehow. ‘ Josuke ’ however stared blankly into space, and then he got up, looking enraged .
“H-how dare you... MESS UP MY PRIDE AND JOY!”
So, it seems as if the stand has taken Josuke’s personality, good grief.
While running towards Josuke, ‘ Josuke ’ didn’t see Star Platinum rushing towards him.
“ORA!” and he went flying back. He didn’t think to control Josuke , being so blindly enraged, so when he went flying, Josuke stayed right where he was, sighing in relief .
“Thanks. I didn’t know if you would get my message.”
“It was easy enough to spot when you know where to look.”
Suddenly there was screaming.
“I found Hazamada!” Koichi yelled.
The taller men went over to the source of the noise.
“H-how???” Hazamda said while on his back, scooting away.
“How what?” Josuke asked, narrowing his eyes.
“How did you know who was the real Josuke!”
“Yare yare daze, you don’t even know what your stand looks like?”
“You know, it’s really hard to have a nail drilled into your head without having even a little bit o f brain damage .” Josuke said coldly.
Hazamada’s eyes went wide.
“What do you want to do with him?” Jotaro asked the younger two.
“We can leave him alone; you did a number on his stand and I doubt he’d be able to get another mannequin. However ...” Josuke turned to Hazamada “If you go after us again, we won’t forgive you.”
“G-got it” Hazamada stood up and scrambled away.
“Sorry we couldn’t get here in time, Mr. Jotaro. He almost compromised Josuke, but we caught up with them, that is until the train came.” Koichi said
“It’s ok Koichi, you did help though, so thanks for that.”
“We’ll now that that’s been settled,” Josuke said while slinging an arm over his nephew’s shoulders, smiling, “Why don’t we go get something to eat?”
“Yare yare daze...”
“Sounds good!” Koichi exclaimed.
