   Summary

   This is set in the same time frame as the start of the mighty nein adventures BUT:

   Bren never broke and never left the assembly
   Lucien survived the attempt to botch his ritual and kept his memory

   Warning: this is not a nice fic. Don't go into this thinking that this is going to be nice. I haven't fully settled on an ending, but there's a good chance that it won't be a happy one. These are not nice characters. Both Lucien and Bren are evil or, at the very least, don't bat an eye at evil. This will not be a healthy relationship (consensual but not healthy). If you are looking for joy and happiness, this is not the fic for you.
