Just a little past 10pm Deku takes in 3 long sharp breaths before hurriedly shutting his computer. He runs out his room, and on pure muscle memory alone, he makes it in front of a familiar cracked door. He traces the little burn marks before knocking, extra loud. He waits. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1. He enters the room, the smell of caramel and smoke filling his lungs. To be honest he didn't know if the blond was still up, but Deku just couldn't wait till morning. He sees Kacchan, awake, reading a book. "Hey, you're still up."
No response. Tears brim at his eyes while he slowly approaches Bakugou, and motions for him to put the book down. Bakugou finally looks up and gives him all his attention. "Hey" Deku starts. "I learned" he pauses, trying to remember. "this for you."He mouthed while signing the words with his hands. "I love you." Deku signs, without saying the words. There's a long comfortable pause as Bakugou breaks into a content smile.
"Come closer, I wanna hear you say it, before I can't anymore."
"I love you." Deku says right into Bakugou's ear, earning him a kiss on the forehead. "Me too, nerd. Now you can't risk your arms getting injured anymore. or how else will we be able to talk." The blond half-heartedly laughs, kissing the scars on his best friend's hand.
