An elbow found it's way against his ribs and it wasn't that softly either. Ignoring it didn't help at all, since the guy next to him kept doing it until he gave him his attention. And thus, he let out a sigh of annoyance before looking at the other's cheerful face.
"What?" he grumbled.
"Look, Zon, look!" And with that, he received another poke against his ribs.
Oh, he was so close to just shoving him. He complied anyway, turning his face to the right side of the screen in front of them. "I'm looking, now what?" annoyance clear in his voice.
"Okay, keep looking until I'm done, alright?" Once he said that he started to move his character on his side of the screen. "If I shoot this at the ground..." he mumbled as he did what he was explaining, "and this one at the ceiling... Ah, see! Ready?" The taller of the two grinned at Zon, looking for a form of affirmation that he was indeed ready to see what would happen.
Zon hunched over, placing his elbow on his knee, and his face in his hand. He nodded while he kept looking at the screen, letting out another sigh. "Yeah... yeah, I'm ready for whatever the fuck it is that you wanted to show me, Saifah."
This grumpy state of Zon didn't bother Saifah in the slightest. He kept on his bright smile, even chuckling at the other's words. "So! If I jump through the floor here," he said, trying to build up some anticipation, which didn't work at all, before letting his character jump into the hole.
"See! Look at it!" The taller of the two started to laugh. His character was now falling through the floor, yet coming out of the ceiling again, and that on repeat. "Isn't it funny?"
Zon had now placed his head in both of his hands, dragging them across his face. "Saifah..." Though he said it softly, his irritation was very noticeable.
"...Yes?" Saifah asked tentatively, not sure how mad the other in actuality is.
He finally lifted his face out of his hands, looking at the taller one now. He threw his hands up in the air.
"I just want to get past level one, goddamnit!"
Saifah gave him a sheepish smile in return before placing his controller on the ground in front of him. He turned back towards Zon and opened his arms. "Apology cuddles?" he attempted with the same smile.
Zon paused the game, turned off the device, and stood up from the floor. Just as Saifah was opening his mouth to apologize, as he thought that he had hurt Zon's feelings somehow, his wrists were grabbed by Zon, who pulled him up onto his feet. Saifah tilted his head to the side as a silent question.
"If you're going to give me apology cuddles, you'd at least have to give them to me in a comfortable manner," he grumbled at the other before dragging him towards Saifah's bed.
"Oh, yeah, okay. Of course! Anything for you, my Zon."
Zon bit the inside of his cheek to hide the smile that was forming. "You go lie down," he said as he turned towards the taller guy, "I'm going to steal one of your hoodies first."
Saifah obliged to his orders, making himself comfortable on the bed while Zon went through his closet. He hadn't noticed that he was staring at the smaller guy until said guy spoke up again.
"Close your eyes."
At this, Saifah just rolled his eyes before doing what he was told. However, he couldn't stop his smile that graced his features. The thought that the other still made him look away whenever he wanted to take off his shirt was endearing.
After a few minutes, Saifah felt the bed dip next to him. Before he even had the chance to open his eyes, Zon wrapped his arms around him, pulling him towards his chest.
Zon lifted one of his legs over the other's hip, getting into a more comfortable snuggling position. "You've got to deal with this now. I'm big spoon in this apology cuddle."
"It almost feels like you're apologizing to me, instead of the other way around." His affection laced in his voice. He placed one of his arms over Zon's side, lightly grasping the back of his hoodie.
His words and action made Zon smile, who in return kissed the top of the other's head. "That's because there was nothing that you had to apologize for, Sai. I shouldn't have gotten mad that easily, it was just a game. I got too caught up in wanting to finish that level. So I should apologize to you for yelling at you." He placed his chin on top of the other's head.
"That's alright," Saifah mumbled softly before kissing Zon's chest, right above his heart. "I shouldn't have pushed it."
Zon let go of his grip to take Saifah's face in his hands. He smiled at the other, having the same affectionate smile returned towards him. His eyes closed as he put their foreheads together.
"I love you, my Saifah," he whispered.
"And I love you, my Zon."
At that, he tilted Saifah's face slightly upwards, closing the gap between them himself. They both sighed into the kiss at the same time, which caused a smile on both of their faces. Their smiles only got wider at that, so Zon leaned back, finding it impossible to kiss with teeth only. A chuckle escaped him as he saw Saifah automatically chase after his lips.
Once Saifah opened his eyes, Zon started to caress his face with his thumbs. He could drown in those puppy eyes, so he did what was the only logical option in his opinion. He kissed Saifah's forehead and placed another one on his nose before pecking his lips a few times again. This time, they somehow managed to keep their smiling to a minimum, so he started to deepen their kiss, nibbling on Saifah's bottom lip so now and then.
Saifah's hands found their place just below Zon's jaw as he opened his mouth, letting their tongues glide against each other.
The last coherent thought in Zon's mind that day was "Co-op games aren't that bad, after all."
