Kokomi is really pretty. Bakugou seems to be the only person who doesn’t notice.

She plans on changing that.

Chapter 1: PROLOGUE

Chapter Text

Kobayashi Kokomi was a goddamn hurricane. That’s something Bakugou learned pretty quickly in the short time he’d known her.

He still remembers the day she’d transferred to U.A.- the beginning of 8 months of absolute mental torture for him.

She walked into 2-A (45 minutes late might he add) like she owned the place:  hair and makeup done like she was getting ready for her own damn wedding, U.A. uniform modified and customized to the point it was barely recognizable; that stupid arrogant smirk on her face which he found would almost never leave her mouth.

She introduced herself as if it were obvious who she was- not that she was wrong. Apparently she was some kind of famous model that everyone was already a fan of; Bakugou had never heard of her until that day.

After making a rather insensitive comment on Tokoyami’s appearance, she kicked him out of his seat in order to be next to the only ‘half-way decent guy’ in class- otherwise known as Todoroki. At this point, Bakugou already decided he hated the girl. Sure, he wasn’t the most amicable or humble person, but really ? She was insufferable.

He’d hoped that Todoroki would be as cold and indifferent as usual, maybe teach her a lesson about respect- but nope, he was just as smitten as the rest of their idiotic class was.

And it definitely wasn’t for her stellar personality, that was for sure. Kokomi had a quirk called ‘ True Beauty ’, something he thought was utter bullshit considering she had to be one of the ugliest people on the inside he’d ever met- and he’d come head to head with actual fucking villains.

Despite his utter confusion and general distaste for the girl, everyone seemed to kiss the fucking ground she walked on. It was as if she could do no wrong; another thing he thought was utter bullshit.

Kobayashi Kokomi was a bitch- there was no other way to put it. She liked pretending she was a ‘cute and innocent girl’, and Bakugou rolled his eyes every time she put on that act. Kokomi wasn’t cute, and she definitely wasn’t innocent either.

Because of her stupid quirk and their even stupider classmates, Kokomi got away with way too much.

She’d say the rudest, most fucked up passive aggressive shit ever with the brightest smile on her face and people would act as if she were reciting gospel; she’d humiliate anyone who even dared confessing to her even though it was pretty obvious she thrived off attention; she’d absolutely refuse to do any real work and everyone would pick up the slack for her- during training she wouldn’t even try because everyone went easy on her; she was fucking late everyday; she always made a point to wear the most ridiculous, revealing outfits and if she even bothered to wear the uniform it was literally a disgrace- the list was fucking endless, and everyday it seemed like Bakugou found yet another thing to hate about his new classmate.

Even Aizawa went easy on her! It pissed him off, just how much she got away with; how was he forced to go into counselling for his ‘attitude issues’, but the second some hot girl decided to do basically the same thing it was perfectly fine? Kokomi managed to completely mess up every system and rule in place just because of her stupid quirk.

Normally, he wouldn’t even bother paying attention to someone that was this annoying. He’d much rather pretend they didn’t exist and keep his peace of mind- but Kokomi didn’t grant him that pleasure.

The bitch was obsessed with him.

He didn’t know what he’d done to deserve such a fate, but Kokomi seemed to be convinced that they were meant to be or something. He’d made it perfectly fucking clear from the start there was no way in hell he would ever be interested in her- but obviously the girl didn’t know how to take a fucking hint.

Bakugou couldn’t even remember the last peaceful day he had at U.A. From the second he woke up to the second he slammed his bedroom door in her face before bed, Kokomi was on his ass constantly.

Date me, Katsuki, I love you Katsuki, Why won’t you just admit you like me, Katsuki?

He hated the way she said his name. No one called him by his given name- not that anyone would even dare to-but of course, Kokomi felt like she was entitled to acting as if they were close enough to do shit like that.

Bakugou would’ve been able to avoid her better if it weren’t for the fact that Shitty Hair also happened to be childhood friends with the girl. He didn’t know how the hell Kokomi managed to get someone like Kirishima in her life, but he figured it had something to do with her quirk.

Lunch used to be something he looked forward to. Now, because Kokomi weaseled her way into his friend group it was something he dreaded.

“Katsuki,” she whined, pointing her chopstick rudely at the boy sitting beside her, “What the hell are you thinking about that’s so important? I’m right here!”

“I’m thinking about how much I fucking hate you,” he snarls, not even caring about sounding too harsh around her- nothing he did seemed to faze her.

This brings a sickeningly sweet smile to her lips; it always gave Bakugou shivers whenever she did that. Was this girl crazy or something? Why did she enjoy being around someone who hated her so much?

Just as Kokomi is about to reply-probably something disgusting or perverted-Kaminari slams his palms on the table in frustration.

“Goddamn it, Bakugou!” He yells, standing up to make his point, “Do you even know how lucky you are, man?”

Bakugou fights the urge to punch the electric blond in the stomach. He settles for glaring at him with as much hate as he can muster. “The fuck are you talking about, Dunce Face?”

“We get it, okay?” He sighs loudly in exasperation, “You’re a tsundere bad boy with emotional issues who’s too cool for everyone- but seriously? Kokomi-sama has been pining after you for months and you’ve been treating her like yesterday’s takeout!”

“Denki’s right, you dummy!” Mina says, “You’re lucky any girl is even remotely interested in you, let alone Kokomi. Stop being such an idiot and just accept her feelings!”

Everyone at the table makes hums of agreement- even Kokomi herself. Bakugou huffs indignantly, refusing to give into his idiotic friends’ brainwashed advice.

Why the hell should he care if “The Great Kokomi” liked him or not? He didn’t see a single thing worth liking about the girl, and he’d be damned if he were won over by some stupid quirk.

Bakugou was better than that. He wasn’t going to give in, no matter what-

“FOR FUCK SAKE!” He shoots up in his seat when he feels the cold contents of Kokomi’s iced coffee spill onto his lap, completely drenching his pants.

“Oops,” She looks up at him unapologetically, “Sorry about that, Katsuki. Let me help you there-”

He grabs her hand before she can start trying to wipe the coffee off his crotch with a napkin, pushing her away and storming off to the bathroom whilst swearing under his breath.

He could hear the calls of his friends and Kokomi, but he didn’t give a shit- he was done. Next time he saw her he wasn’t going to play nice anymore.

Bakugou had about 3 minutes of privacy before it was ruined by none other than Kobayashi motherfucking Kokomi- AGAIN.

He has to hold back a defeated whimper at this point- what the hell did he do to deserve this? He was going insane with this constant badgering and harassing. Why couldn’t she just leave him alone?

“You know, I could’ve helped you with that,” she smiles sweetly at him as she leans against the wall of the bathroom they were both currently in. She seemed unbothered at the fact that she wasn’t supposed to be there- Kokomi had no sense of boundaries.

“I don’t want help from the same person who caused the problem,” he grumbled under his breath, too busy trying to wash the stain from his pants underneath the faucet.

“Your useless friends were actually making sense for once,” she drawls, looking around the boy’s bathroom absentmindedly, “You should stop lying to yourself and just date me. I think everything would be a lot easier-”

“What the fuck do I have to do to get you to leave me alone?” He raises his hands in frustration, leaving the faucet running. “I’ve had enough, you annoying bitch!”

“Katsuki!” She says in mock offence, hand on her chest.

“No, stop fucking calling me that!” He screeches, ready to pull his hair out, “I’m fucking done with you! I don’t care if Shitty Hair is your childhood friend, or if you managed to brainwash everyone in our class- I don’t give a fuck if you like me! I fucking hate you, okay? What the fuck do I have to do to get you to understand that?”

The two of them stared at each other silently for a couple seconds, Bakugou trying to get his breathing under control while Kokomi’s stupid smile never left her face. God, it was like talking to a brick wall.

“So you really hate me, huh?” She says after a long pause, arms crossed over her chest as she looks over him with a piercing gaze.

“Fucking obviously!” Bakugou yelled back, hands twitching in anger. How many times had he told her that already?

“And you want to get rid of me?” She says slowly, and Bakugou groans in frustration.

“Are you fucking deaf or something?” He snaps, but Kokomi just ignores his temper tantrum.

“Fine.” She clasps her hands together, resting them on her lap. “I’ll leave you alone from now on...

...If you date me.”

She wasn’t listening to him. Of course she completely fucking ignored everything he said and circled back around to her delusional wish of them getting together.

“How fucking idiotic-” He’s about to go off on her, but she holds a finger up.

“Let me finish.” She says, running her fingers through her hair and flipping it over her shoulder for dramatic effect. “I’ll leave you alone if you agree to date me for a month.”

Katsuki stares at her incredulously, mouth gaping slightly at the audacity this girl had. Did she seriously have to have everything go her way all the time? What a fucking brat!

“You have got to be kidding,” he scoffs, “why the fuck would I date you when the whole purpose of this conversation was me telling you to stop fucking bothering me all the time?”

She shrugs, walking closer to him until she has him almost pressed up against the sink. He hates when she gets close to him, but he tries his best to glare down at her with as much intimidation as he can muster.

“You said you wanted me to stop bothering you- you asked what you had to do for that to happen. So I’m telling you: date me for a couple weeks and I’ll leave you alone after that.”

“What, like a trial run?” He scoffs at the ridiculousness of her idea, but she just smiles brightly up at him.

“Exactly!” She says cheerily, “Date me for a bit and then if you don’t fall in love with me I’ll never bother you again! It’s perfect, don’t you think?”

“Fuck no.”

“Come on, Katsuki!” She shakes his shoulder, and he knocks her off him almost immediately after. “Just give me a chance! What’s the date today anyways?” She pauses to look at the date on her phone, “May 2nd...okay. Let’s be a couple until the 31st!”

“Did you not fucking hear me? I said no! I’m not fucking dating you!” He barks at her, but she’s clearly too excited about her ‘genius’ idea to care about his opinion.

“Katsuki,” she grabs his hand, holding on tight so he won’t let go, “I promise you I’ll never talk to you again if you do this for me. It’s just 4 weeks- after that you won’t even know I’m there! I swear I’ll leave you alone after that.”

“Forever?” He asks quietly, instantly regretting it when he sees her eyes light up at his compliance.

“Yeah, yeah, forever.” She agrees quickly, dismissively. “That’s if you don’t end up falling in love with me by the end of it, of course.”

He snorts, yanking his hand out of her grip and crossing his arms over his chest defensively. “There's no way in hell that’s happening, princess.”

“So you agree?” She leans closer to him, and he turns his head to the side in an attempt to avoid her.

Was he seriously going to give into her insane plan? He couldn’t believe he was actually considering going along with this whole thing- Bakugou wasn’t a man easily defeated, after all.

But was there really any other way to get her off his back? Assuming she kept her promise, he’d be free of Kokomi for the rest of his life. He could finally go back to his normal routine- he wouldn’t have to wake up anxious and go to sleep utterly drained anymore. He wouldn’t have to hear her stupid annoying voice or see her stupid annoying face ever again….

“You really mean it?” He raises a suspicious brow at her, “You’re going to keep your promise if I fucking date you or whatever?”

“Scout’s honour,” she makes the motion with her hand, and Bakugou rolls his eyes.

“I’m not fucking kissing you or any of that other gross shit,” he shivers in disgust at the thought of doing stuff like that with Kokomi, “so you better not try some perverted shit on me.”

Kokomi frowns slightly at this, huffing in disappointment. “What else are couples supposed to do then?”

“I don’t fucking know, you figure it out!” He growls, “So are you still in or what?”

“You actually want to do this?” The girl’s eyes widened in surprise, as if she didn’t really expect him to agree to her proposal.

“I’m willing to do fucking anything if it means you’ll fuck off.”

“Aww, babe! You’re so sweet!” She says sarcastically, clearly elated that he was going along with her plan.

“Don’t fucking call me that.”

“But we’re a couple now!” She whines, but Bakugou ignores her and turns back towards the sink to continue washing the stain from his clothes.

“We’re fucking starting tomorrow, you brat. I’ve had enough of you for today.”

Kokomi considers this for a second before nodding in agreement. “Fine. But you better be up bright and early tomorrow for our first day as a couple!”

“Don’t fucking tell me what to do.” He hisses, counting down the seconds before she finally fucks off and leaves him alone.

The girl seems to get the hint, turning around and walking towards the door without another word, humming happily at the events that had just taken place. He has to swallow the bile rising from his throat- he couldn’t believe he’d actually stooped this low.

“And Katsuki?” She stops before she exits the bathroom to look at him over her shoulder, a mischievous grin on her lips.

What .” He grumbles, already annoyed at what she’s about to say.

“Nice boxers.” Kokomi giggles, leaving him alone without another word. Bakugou is about to scream at her for being an idiot again before he looks down at where his pants should be.

“FUCK!” He swears loudly, a furious blush creeping up on his cheeks. Had he been talking to her in his boxers this entire fucking time?

He couldn’t fucking wait for this month to be over.

A/N: Hey guys, so I know it's only been like 2 weeks but I have a new story! This one's the same enemies to friends to lovers slow burn bullshit but with a twist- the OC is annoying asf lmaooo. I've had this idea in my head for like 2 months and I was so excited to write this story, I hope y'all enjoy it. She's gonna be totally unlikeable for a bit (not for me I love mean girls) but I got plenty of character development awaiting her. Think Teruhashi from Saiki K, Munyeong from It’s Okay Not to be Okay and Maddie from Euphoria - those are the vibes I’m going for

BTW, Bakugou is in his third year at U.A. in this story, and he's going to be more 'mature' and 'calm'- I'm using these terms loosely but yeah he's not going to be EXACTLY like he is currently in the anime.

Anyways, the next chapter should be up soon. I hope you guys enjoyed this in the meantime; leave a kudos, comment, and check out my other stories if you'd like! Any feedback or support is greatly appreciated! :)
