Chapter Text

When Mirio first found out that two of his teachers, Sir and Toshinori, had dated in the past, he was a lot less shocked than he thought he’d be.

The two had been co-stars on a popular TV show back in the day, and there had been plenty of rumors going around about the true nature of their offscreen relationship. After the show ended, the two were never really seen together anymore, leading people to believe that they had broken up. The rumors slowly died down after a few years, the media starting to focus solely on Toshinori after Sir had stated he’d be retiring from acting.

Mirio could tell that Sir still felt something for the other man. He talked about his time acting with Toshinori quite a bit during class, and whenever he did you could practically hear the longing in his voice. He’d never go into detail about their history, though. Whenever he got too off topic, something that looked almost like guilt would come across his face, before he realized and got back on track.

The blond had attempted to try and push Sir to at least talk to Toshinori and maybe patch things up once before, but his teacher caught on and asked him not to. He explained that he doubted Toshinori would want to repair things, and if he did he would’ve reached out by now. Mirio had mostly backed off, though he still made small attempts that never went anywhere.

But that was junior year. Now he’s in senior year, and he wants to try again, this time with help.

“Are you sure this will work?” Izuku Midoriya asked, worried. The sophomore boy had been worried about the plan ever since Mirio told him about it. Even after Mirio explained that Sir wants to at least be friends with Toshinori again, he was still worried he’d be intruding on their personal lives.

“It’s got a better shot at working than anything I’ve tried before!” Mirio laughed, trying to ease the younger student’s worries. The green haired boy still seemed on the fence. “Listen, if it doesn’t work or if they ask us to stop, then we’ll stop. You don’t have to do this if you’re really that uncomfortable.” Izuku took his words into consideration for a while.

“Alright, I’m in. Where do we start?” Mirio gave the kid a wide, bright smile. This was gonna be good.

It took me at least like 30 different tries to figure out how to start this chapter.
