In the Rain

Summary:

The man didn’t have a mouth, so he never answered his questions, he also couldn’t see anything, as his eyes were stitched shut.

“Do those ever hurt?” He asked the figure, “It must be pretty uncomfortable to not be able to talk or see” Izuku gazed again, realizing the figure had a pen in his pocket.

“You gonna poke my eyes out so we’re even then?”

The figure was as still as a pole, Izuku couldn’t tell if it was breathing or not, but it didn’t need to, as he remembered that yes, this was just a figment of his imagination.

Surely.

Chapter 1: Nights and thunder

Chapter Text

Rain.

Well, it was more of a storm really.

The wind was howling and the trees were growling ,the sky was all shades of blues and grays.

And he was just waking up.

How could anyone get a good night’s rest with this deluge going on outside? He stood up, or tried to , as he felt his body as heavy as a corpse.

This happened last night too, and the night before, and the one before...

He wouldn’t be able to get out of bed, and a strange figure would open his window and stare at him.

You might think this is strange, but not really, as this has been going on for a month or two.

He researched a bit, and this is what most people would call sleep paralysis, as no, there really was no man entering through his window every night just to stare at him, he had left his phone recording a couple of times just to make sure.

Nothing appeared on the screen.

So a Quirk then? It would be an interesting quirk, to let you terrorize the victim within (maybe) a certain range?

But no, he really didn’t know anyone with that sort of quirk either, and even if he did, and they hated him, no one was that** dedicated to slightly annoy someone each night for the next two months.

Then a villain? Izuku was staring at the figure in front of him.

He seemed to be in his twenties, always wearing a formal suit and having a wide arrange of wigs, as Izuku has never seen the man with the same haircut any day.

It really was less scary to think of him as a figment of his imagination, and they settled in something of a routine.

Izuku would wake up in the middle of the night, try to stand up, fail, then wait for the monster to crawl to his window opening it, then stare at him until he dozed off. In the morning everything would be back to normal.

The thunder was still as annoying as ever.

“Would you mind hurrying? I have a test tomorrow, and would love to get some shut eye before eight” Izuku asked, as there was nothing else to do.

The trees were still shaking and the dogs were still barking.

The thunder was still roaring and the windows were still groaning.

But the figure didn’t move, and neither did Izuku.

He could try to ignore it, maybe focus on the soft water pellets hitting his roof, but to no avail, he also stared at the fingerless creature.

Oh, when did he stop having fingers? Maybe fifteen seconds ago.

Was this the first time it happened? Yes, but at this point, Izuku gave up and just watched.

The creature stared back, with a awkward blue eye.

Izuku really wanted to see what the creature looked like, as he had never seen it before, and just knew it was behind him.

Izuku gazed at his bed, not really knowing why, and then back at his window.

It was so strange that it never rained near his home.

Izuku looked at his watch and decided that yes, seven was a decent time to go get breakfast.
