Chapter Text
All the memories that Katsuki has about Christmas are related to loneliness, anger and, in a lot of times, pain. He doesn't remember the last time he had celebrated Christmas (maybe when he was 4 years old?) and he definitely doesn't remember the last time he had gotten a Christmas gift.
So much has happened since Aizawa and Yamada had adopted him and welcomed him to be part of their family. No more cursing nor screaming, no more pain, no more alone nights, no more loneliness. He didn't know what he should do if the other shoe dropped, because he has got to comfortable with all of them.
He has gotten used to prepare meals with Hizashi.
He has gotten used to be under a fussy blanket with Shota while he did his work and Katsuki his homework.
He has gotten used to the night session with Hitoshi when they couldn't sleep and decide to spend the night together, just talking about everything and nothing.
He has gotten used to do Eris hair and let her have fun doing his hair.
He has gotten used to this family and didn't want to let it go for dear life.
And now Christmas was on the corner. It would be his first break with his new family, and he didn't want to admit that he was excited for it. Going back home always meant pain and loneliness, but now it is different.

Hitoshi not always used to like Katsuki. Before he joined Class 1-A he just saw Katsuki has an asshole with a big ego. He was so sure that he was only a jerk with the worst case of superiority complex that he has ever seen. Even the speech on the sport festival infuriated him. He is not proud to said that he got a little bit happy that he was humiliated on national television at the award ceremony. He regrets ever think like that about the blond. He remembers when Shota told him that he and Hizashi were going to take Katsuki in. At first, he was annoyed. He would only need to stand the blond at school, but now at home too.
But he got surprised. Katsuki could appear like he was a loud person. But, in reality, he was very calm, shy even. Normally he would be sitting on the living rooms couch with a book, or he would be drawing. Point its, Hitoshi was surprise by how Katsuki spoke in a very low matter at home, and how he wasn't the same explosive jerk that he thought he was.
And then he met the kind side of Katsuki. The side where he is the one cooking or cleaning when he knows that Hizashi or Shota are too tired. Or how he always read a story to Eri or plays with her anytime that she requested, and do it with a smile. Or how he takes care of him when his migraine was especially bad or tutors him when he didn't understand something. And he did so much more for them.
He couldn't imagine a life without Katsuki anymore. And he was beyond ashamed of how he judged the blond at first without knowing him. He suffered majority of his life, so he could now understand where his aggressive exterior came. It has been 3 months since Katsuki had come to live with them and honestly, Hitoshi is happy Katsuki is his brother.
And he was excited for Christmas, more because now there was another person to share Christmas with. He was especially excited for this Christmas break
"Hitoshi, can you please get Katsuki? We need to get going home. It probably going to start snowing soon" Shota asked. They were on the common room. All the students were preparing to go home for the winter break.
"Sure, thing dad" Hitoshi said, living his bag on the couch and going up to get Katsuki. When he got to his room he just knocks.
"Katsuki, dad said that we needed to get going" Hitoshi said.
"Give me a second, come in if you want" Hitoshi heard Katsuki, so he complied and entered to his room. Hitoshi liked Katsuki's room, primarily because it functioned has a personal mini library. It had a big bookshelf full of book. Katsuki had a big influence on the house bookshelf filling up.
He had his desk too. There weren't many things now because on the break but normally it would have his computer, many pencils and his 2 favorites cactuses, which Hitoshi never lose the opportunity to tell Katsuki he looks like them. "I'm almost done, just need to close my bags"
"I will help you" Hitoshi said, and so they did. 5 more minutes of getting some last minute things and closing the 2 bags, and they were making their way out of Katsuki's dorm room.
"You are going home Kats?" They heard a voice behind them, and Hitoshi saw Katsuki's boyfriend, Kirishima "I hope you have an amazing Christmas" Kirishima said going and hugging Katsuki, making him blush, but Katsuki returned the hug.
"We will see" Katsuki said simply, and that was another thing Hitoshi was excited about. Technically, this would be Katsuki first real Christmas.
"Well, call me when you are home and have fun. Love you" Kirishima said, giving Katsuki a little pick in the lips and making Katsuki mad blush again.
"Whatever" Katsuki said, walking fast down the hall. Kirishima was laughing so Hitoshi just wave a bye and went his way to the common room.

Katsuki was the one who got out of the car to get Eri from the daycare. He (even if he didn't say it out loud) did this happily. It was stupid at this point to denied that he was very found for the little girl that Izuku saved (now his little sister). She was always so sweet, even when she didn't know him well. He dares to said that she is the only person in a long while that didn't judge him at first sight.
"Hello Bakugou-san, are you here to pick up Eri?" Said the teacher that guarding the entrance.
"Yeah" He said simply and just staid there waiting for Eri. He saw the Christmas decoration of the daycare. A lot of lights and a very big tree outside. He was curious of how Aizawa and Yamada had their tree decorated.
"Nii-san!" He heard Eri's voice, so he turned to the entrance and saw the girl running to him. When she was near, he just picks her up and she didn't wait to give him a hug. "Nii-san look!" Eri holds high 4 crafted candy cane that looked like Christmas ornaments. And he saw that each represented one of them.
There was a purple one with a bell tight to it; then a one with black stripe and two cat ears; a yellow strip one with a lot of glitter; a pink one with stars glitter; and finally, one with orange and green strips with a big red bow "They are for or Christmas tree"
"Wow Eri, they look very cool. I like them" Bakugo said, walking to the car and still holding Eri.
"Its us! My favorite it yours"
"I think it looks sick. Im going to have it even when its not Christmas" Katsuki said, watching Eri's eyes shine, and she hug him again.
"Everyone ready to go?" Hizashi asked when Katsuki and Eri where back in the car and buckle up.
"Yeah" And with that the family drove home, to start Katuski's first Christmas.
