"She came again!"
Mandalay was woken up by the sudden shout of her nephew, Kota. That is, if him bouncing up and down on her bed didn't do the trick.
"Koda-kun, who came?"
"The Christmas Peryton!"
The woman tilted her head, but still got up and followed him downstairs.
What she saw gave credence to Kota's statement: underneath the Christmas tree, there was an assortment of presents, most consisting of Hero merchandise while the others were hidden inside gift boxes.
Mandalay walked up to one of the boxes, and read the letter attached to it out loud:
"I'm sorry for causing you trouble, but thanks for not sending me to prison just for existing. Here are some tokens of my gratitude, I hope you enjoy them."
"What's going on here?"
Mandalay turned around and saw her fellow Pro-Heroes, the Wild Wild Pussycats, enter the room.
"Remember that winged deer girl we met, who people keep calling the Christmas Peryton?" Mandalay asked, earning a nod from her coworkers. "She dropped off here and left some presents for us."
"Really?" Ragdoll asked.
"It's her way to thank us for not arresting her."
"I still think we should've at least given her to another Pro-Hero," Pixie Bob sighed. "Letting a well known Vigilante like that get away is gonna do a number on our ranking."
"Maybe, but..."
Mandalay hummed, and walked to the window, where she saw the familiar figure of the girl flying into the sun, before vanishing entirely.
"You know what? I think we did the right thing."
Meka Midoriya! Quirk: Peryton! She has a deer's antlers and an eagle's wings! Cool, right?!
