Rexmas With You, and Only You

Summary:

Another Rexmas, another stay at Cherryton with Jack. Movies, snuggles and cuddles are to be expected as Legosi and Jack spend their nights together.

Notes:

Another small thing I wrote with these two. Just pure fluff. But really, have I ever wrote anything other than fluff? xp

Happy reading~!

Work Text:

“Do you really want to spend your rexmas here?”

“And spend it with you? Of course I'd want to.” Jack plugged in the TV cord. “There we go.”

The screen flickered on. Legosi watched as the TV came to life, not focusing on what was airing. His mind wandered.

Another Rexmas, another stay with Jack in school. How many times has it been now? Three? Four? Who knows. All he cared about was that he got to spend it with Jack. His childhood friend. His best friend throughout his life. Now, his… boyfriend.

“-gosi.”

Legosi blankly watched the TV’s screen, remembering the messy confession they had for each other. They were so blind to the fact that the other had feelings for them, scared that the other wouldn't feel the same. It took them forever to realize until it was finally spelled out before them with the help of their roommates.

Who knew that someone he thought was just his best friend would end up being the love of his life?

“Legosi?”

Legosi blinked, snapping himself out of his thoughts. “Y-yeah?”

“You doing okay?” asked Jack. “You were blanking out there.”

“I’m fine," said Legosi, "was just thinking about stuff.”

“Hm.”

Jack didn’t comment any further. He sat down next to the wolf on the rug, resting his head on his broad shoulder as he switched channels after channels on the TV. No interesting movies playing tonight it seemed like.

Minutes passed. Taking a few chips from the bag in front of him, he continued his channel surfing.

Legosi watched the labrador do this for a few moments before finally speaking up, “You don’t need to find something good or new, Jack. Just play the ones we’ve watched before.”

“But that’s boring.”

“That’s fine,” said Legosi. “The movies aren’t really what I’m looking for anyway.”

Jack raised an eyebrow. “What is it then?”

Legosi leaned his head against Jack’s. “Do I really have to say?”

The labrador’s cheeks went red. His tail wagged alongside the wolf’s.

“Jeez, you can be so smooth sometimes. I hate it.”

“I try.”

Jack pushed himself off Legosi. “But seriously, I wanna find something good.”

Legosi rolled his eyes. “Fine, suit yourself,” he said, “but don’t move away.”

“Hu-?” Before Jack could ask what he meant, Legosi was already on the move.

Legosi settled behind Jack, hugging him from behind. He rested his head on the top of the labrador’s. “There.”

Jack blinked, but it didn’t take long for him to submit himself into Legosi's hug, relishing the warm fuzzy feeling it gave. Curse this damn wolf and his toned yet fluffy body, too comfortable.

The TV was left alone, neglected by Jack.

“Not searching for movies anymore?”

“You’re making it difficult.”

“I’m not even doing anything.”

“He said as he embraced the dog, pulling him into a heavenly hug.”

Legosi chuckled. “Okay, maybe I’m doing one thing.”

“And you’re too good at it.”

“Your fault for making me want to do this.”

The moon raised higher and higher as it got deeper into the night. The 701 room grew silent. Legosi yawned as the movie they were watching ended.

“Sleepy?” asked Jack, still in the wolf's arms.

“It’s 11.”

Only 11.”

“Says you. I wanna go to bed.”

“Come on. We can still go on for a few more hours.”

You can, sure,” said Legosi, booping Jack’s nose with his finger, “but that’s unhealthy.”

“‘S fine. I’ve been staying up late like this for a while now and I’m still fine.”

Legosi paused. “You did?”

“Yeah. Homework and tests and stuff like that.”

“F-for how long?”

“Few weeks. Or maybe couple of months now?”

Legosi’s brows furrowed. “You need sleep.”

Jack waved his hand dismissively. “I can handle it. I want to continue the night with you.”

“No, you need it. You need to fix that sleeping schedule now.

“Calm down, so far I’ve been doing alright. I’m fi- whoa!

Legosi lifted up the labrador without warning and put him on his shoulder. As he was being carried, Jack could only see the wolf’s back (and ass) and the floor while his legs dangled helplessly on the other side.

“W-what’re you doing?!”

“Carrying you to bed,” said Legosi, his tone sharp.

“But I said I-”

“-Shush. You need this.”

He didn’t have much problem restraining Jack, only needing to keep one arm on him while the other opened the bed’s curtain.

You shus-oof!”

Jack landed on his bed on his back, roughly. Legosi climbed on soon after, settling up behind him, being the big spoon. And Jack couldn't say no to any of this, of course. The wolf’s arms kept him in place, making him unable to move.

“Sorry for treating you so roughly, but you need to sleep,” said Legosi. “And I’ll keep doing this till you get a normal sleeping schedule again.”

Jack grumbled. He wanted to rebel, who was he to manhandle him like this? But... he relented. No point in fighting him when he was like this. And as much as he hated to admit it, Legosi was right.

“Fine.”

Legosi breathed a sigh of relief. “Good.” He planted a quick kiss on the labrador’s cheek. “Love you.”

Jack’s tail whapped the bed. He sighed.

This wolf was too much.

“Love you too, Legosi.”
