Work Text:
There was a lovely shop in the depths of Yokohama. It is small but humble and was a favorite among the locals. It was a place where if one needed flowers fast and at a more reasonable price. However, there will be stories among the area that had nothing to do with flowers.
And more so of the people working there.

It was another morning at the flower shop, Lilies and Love. One person, a redhead was sweeping dust around the front while another person, one with bandages around their exposed skin was sighing as they were staring at nothing in particular.
“Odasaku~” Dazai called out, almost in a whining tone. “I’m bored and lonely~ When are you going to be done with sweeping?”
The redhead in question smiled faintly as he swept for a few more seconds before going inside. “I guess it couldn’t be helped.” He was one to indulge to Dazai’s whims when he knew he didn’t have to. “What’s gotten you so bored and lonely? Is it because it’s a slow day today?”
Sighing, Dazai moved to lay on his back over the counter where the register was. “It’s not just that, it’s just one more day without him.” He closed his eyes. “Why must the world be so cruel?”
Putting the broom away, Oda moved to take Dazai’s arm and pulled him close. There weren’t any customers so it was fine. “I know but think about it, it’s one less day that we have to wait for him to come back home. I’m sure he’s missing us as we’re missing him.”
With his head against the other’s shoulder, Dazai smiled a bit. “Yeah, it’s just so annoying! I don’t like waiting!” He pouted.
Chuckling, Oda can agree. “How about we give him a call later? I’m sure he’ll like that.”
After a moment of silence, Dazai nodded. “Alright. I can’t wait to see his face once again~” Kissing Oda’s cheek, he pulled back just in time to see potential customers coming into the shop. “Hello~ What can I do for you all~?”
Oda watched Dazai go to the customers with such enthusiasm. It was infectious but welcoming. It was that aspect that he liked about Dazai, on good days he was doing his best. He would be lying though if he said that he wasn’t lonely as well. Like, Dazai, he wanted their love to come home.
The flowers just didn’t bloom brightly without him.

Kunikida was never one for surprises but he found himself doing that very thing. He had been away for a while due to a friend’s wedding and since he knew them best, he went on his own. It was fun and he had a good time but during that whole thing, he was missing his loves very dearly.
His friend, bless his heart, told him that as soon as the ceremony was over, he can just go home. He wished him good luck to his life back there.
So with a day earlier than expected, Kunikida decided to surprise the two by opening the shop. He managed to have a spare uniform in the back after he unlocked the front of the door. Humming, he went to turn on the lights and the music.
To others, it was a shop but to him it was a home away from home. Sighing, he put his apron on and placed his hands on his hips. “Now then, let’s see if those two took good care of you all while I was away.”

“Ah, it was nice to see Doppo while facetiming once again.” Dazai yawned as he felt tired. He has gotten better in keeping some sort of schedule but if it were up to him, he would sleep till the afternoon.
Oda had to agree as he held Dazai’s hand. “Yeah, he seemed very happy though and I hope he’ll have a nice flight back. Do you have the time he’ll be at the airport?”
Lazily waving a folded paper around, Dazai hummed. “If all goes well, he might there on time.” He looked ahead and paused, making himself tug Oda’s hand backwards.
“Hm? What’s wrong?” Oda asked as he looked at Dazai. Noticing where Dazai was looking, he also saw something off. “….The shop—Osamu!” He felt Dazai letting go of his hand as he followed him.
Dazai ran to the shop and stopped at the entrance. He saw the back of a familiar person. It…it couldn’t be.
Hearing footsteps and then a sudden stop, with a huge bout of bouquet, Kunikida turned around and noticed a familiar face. “Ah, morning Osamu. Like these flowers, it was part of the shipment this morning and I think it’s good for this season—wait no, hold your horses--!”
Too late. Before Dazai had the chance to think, his body was moving with him and he practically tackled the other after jumping over the counter.
The flowers avoided damage but Kunikida fell over to the floor with a groan. His back ached a bit and he had an armful of Dazai against his chest. He had to blink a few times before he saw another face. “Morning, Sakunosuke.”
“Morning.” Oda was just as surprised as Dazai but had the control not to do the same even if he wanted to. “Early flight back?” He kneeled.
Kunikida blushed and nodded. “Yeah…just wanted to surprise you is all.”
“And surprised us, you did.” Oda smiled as he leaned down and gave Kunikida a soft kiss. “Welcome back, Doppo.”
Smiling and patting Dazai’s back (said person had a goofy but happy grin against the blonde’s chest), Kunikida sighed. “I’m home.”
All was right with the world and in that little flower shop once again.

Bonus:
“Osamu, please get off, I have work to do.”
“Hmm…..no. I think I’m fine where I am~”
“Saku….”
“Sorry but it can’t be helped. If anything how about we just scoot a bit towards behind the counter so it doesn’t look like it’s a crime scene.”
Well as right as can be for those three.
