Chapter Text

Arlene which she could forget what happened, but she couldnt.

It was a Saturday evening, Arlene was supposed to got to a reunion with the 10 great families, But here she was, Watching the sun with her beloved V.

They both started dating around May, many took it the right way, and some didn't. In those who didn't, there was Zahard, who has been trying to gain her love since he first met her, but of course, her heart only belonged to V.

She was sure there was nobody else she could love other then her beloved V, they had been talking lately, Talking about a baby...

Yes, Arlene wanted to have a baby with V, she had asked him one day after a long day of work, she would haved expected him to give it more time, after all, he had always mentioned that he wanted to have a baby, but not right now, he wanted to have one, once the things with Zahard got a little more calmer.

But, she also new this risked things, he was a mortal, he hasn't made an immortality contract as she did, she could live as long as she wanted and would never die, or at least thats what she thought. But, she absolutely didn't thought he would also say that he wanted to have a baby. Like right now.

That sparked something in her heart, Maybe it was because V also wanted to start a family with her, or maybe it was because this ment he accepted her as his wife.

Glancing at V, he had his eyes closed, as he hummed a song, a song very familiar to her. Gently touching his shoulder, Arlene said, "V, don't you think today the sun is a lot way more hotter?". V stopped humming as he opened his eyes and looked at Arlene, "I guess..., I've always liked the sun, so it's not really a problem".

"Of course, You've always been a sunny guy~, a light in my life" Arlene teasingly added. "Hah, you really bother you know, but I guess that's why I love you", V says, as he approaches Arlene's cheek and gives her a little kiss.

Blushing a little, Arlene smirks as she continued teasingly saying, "It had to be on the cheek~?". A little laugh leaves V's mouth as he grins, "So funny Arly, I won't give you what you want, so conform yourself". "Arly?, You've never called me that before" she questions. 

"Well, I guess, I just felt like calling you that, it suits you", "No Uh, everything suits me darling~" Arlene says confidently. "Haha, guess that's true, by the way, won't you go to the meeting?" V asks, as he gets up in a sitting position. 

Also sitting up, Arlene sighs, as she frowns, remebering that she had to go to a meeting not long ago, and to her luck in there was Zahard. "But, Zahard is in there, and I want to pass time with you" says Arlene as she hugs V.

"Come one, you have to go, I promise that later we can pass more time together" promises V, as he gently pushed Arlene away. "Wahhh, you are so mean V!" Said Arlene, as she punched him in the head. 

Touching his head in pain, V said, "Don't be dramatic Arly, just go, and say my regards to Eduan". Grumbling Arlene said, "Fine...". Standing up, she started making her way to the meeting, as she glanced at V one last time.

When Arlene got inside of the building, everyone's high voices could be heard, it seemed like they were discussing something. Something important.

Opening the door to the room, in there stood, The Head of the Arie family, Eduan, Enryu, the head of the Po Bidau family, the head of the Ha family, The Head of the Lo Po Bia family, and of course Zahard. Not all the Great families were present, nice.

"Well, if it's you Arlene, thought you might not come, how's V?" Someone said, turning to the way of the voice, a little smile formed on her lips, as she looked it was Eduan, from the Khun family. They both were really nice friends.

"Why~, hello to you too Eduan, V has been okay", "I'm glad, come sit down at my side!" Eduan cheerfully added.  Smiling Arlene said, "I would never regret your offer". Making her way to sit at Eduan's side, she noticed, Zahard was staring at her, he couldn't make it any more obvious could he.

"Well, since Arlene just camed, we will resume our information of the last trip"said Arie Hon from the Arie Family, Yup, she taked back her words, this was going to be a boring meeting, she was gonna waste her time!, time that she could had used to spend more time with V. 

"As, we were discussing, yesterday's trip was an easy one, we successfully managed to destroy some regulars that were attacking our territory, we also managed to destroy their current camps,  in which they were staying" reported Zahard. Of course, always wanting to steal the spotlight from everyone else. He's such a jerk, and with that he tries to gain her love?, better start walking away Blondie. 

Feeling bored, Arlene asked "Great, anyone got some more information?", "I think with my information it is enough to know what happened yesterday" Zahard retorts. Glaring at Zahard's way, she replies, "So?, nobody asked for your information, Jerk". Smalls laughs could be heard inside the room. That made Arlene smile, as she looked at Zahard, who was red from embarrassment. But, of course he never told her anything.

That's what love makes to people, she guessed. After talking for some minutes about yesterday's trip. The meeting got dismissed, "Bye, Eduan see you next time!" Cheerfully Arlene said. "Bye bye!, say V that I hope to see him soon" "I will!, oh and V also said hi" Arlene added, "That's normal of him, I guess" Eduan said, as he walked away.

She started walking away too, making her way down the stairs, she was about to open the door, when someone grabbed her waist and covered her mouth and nose with a cloth. "Mhhhhhh!" She tried yelling, but it was useless, her body was starting to grow weak, making one last effort to escape, her vision grower black.

As she fell unconscious.

When Arlene woked up, her hands were tied up, with ropes,She was on a bee, she felt nauseous, and her body felt so weak, that she almost felt like she was flying. As she looked around the room, she was surprised at seeing the familiar room, Zahard's room, what was she doing in here?. 

"Well, you are finally awake", called a voice, turning her attention at the new visitor, she couldn't hide her disgusted face, as she saw it was Zahard. Gritting her teeth, she said, "Zahard!, what's the meaning of this?".

Zahard then started making his way towards her, with a predatory grin on his face. Arlene couldn't help, but feel fear when he touched her face. "You and I, will have a lot of fun, Arlene" he said, as his hands started moving to unbutton her dress. Tears started falling from her eyes, as she looked pleadingly at him,

"Please, I beg you!, let me go" she begged, but of course her prayers, did not reach his ears. So yelling, she said, "PLEASE!, SOMEBODY- hmmm". Zahard had covered her mouth with a cloth, she started feeling sleepy and weak again, her legs had been opened, and Zahard had sitted on top of her.

He started removing her dress, as she last heard him say, "I will make you mine, Arlene Grace, perhaps not the first to steal your heart, but certainly the first, to steal your first time" 

Before she could also answer back, black clouded her vision as she fell into a deep sleep.

Shaking that memory of her head, Arlene new it was no use to remember that, instead she stared down at the little baby on her arms that was drinking milk.

Gently, grabbing the baby's hand, she couldn't help but smile, this baby was Zahard's and her's,  when she found out she was pregnant, Arlene didn't know how to tell V about it, but regardless the time always camed, and when she told V, he still accepted her, hugging her so hard that she couldn't help but feel loved.

This is why she choosed him, for his kind-hearted heart, something that Zahard obviously didn't have. Looking back at the baby, who was now sleeping in her arms, she gently gaved a kiss on her forehead to the baby, and placed her on the crib.

The baby's name was Rachel, she was a blond girl, with yellow eyes, she had little freckles on her face, she was a really cheerfully baby, she always had so much energy.

Subconsciously, she touched her belly, she was also waiting a new baby now, this time it was V's and her's, she couldn't be anymore happier then now.

Even thought at first she didn't want to stay with Rachel, since she reminded her of him, V convinced her to stay with Rachel and she guessed it was kinda good, Now, she tried her best to at least be a good mother. It's the least thing she could do. She would make sure Rachel never knows about Zahard, to not let her become like him, a fucking piece of shit. 

Yeah, that's what Zahard was, she hoped the baby will be born soon. She already wanted to meet her baby, and if she was lucky, she hoped her baby had V's golden eyes. 

She would wait for the day, they could finally meet.

Chapter Text

It was a Sunday evening, during this days Arlene liked to get new clothes for herself, and Rachel. And if she found something fitting for V, she would bring it.

But first, she had to make breakfast, V was going on a mission today, together with Eduan and Enryu, Enryu was another great friend of her's. He would sometimes take care of Rachel while she was on a mission with others, but sadly today he couldn't stay, so that leaved her alone. So she had to take Rachel with her, she just hoped Rachel didn't bother her.

She could tend to be a little of a cry baby sometimes, and also annoying. But maybe all she needed was to go outside and explore the world. In other words, the mall. Not that she minded letting Rachel go on missions with V, it was just that V could be a little of an adventurous sometimes, even though he was a mortal, he liked to take dangerous risks, that sometimes costed him his life.

And every time she complained and told him to stop,  he would just shove her complains off, and instead change the subject, or sometimes go to see Rachel. Thats why she would call him every 2 or 3 hours to see if he was okay. And sometimes the call would be answered by Eduan , telling her that he was okay just hurt. 

Yeah and it was during those moments, her heart felt like it would explode, as feelings of fear covered her entire body. But it was no use remembering that now, Eduan better take good care of him. Just like he promised.

So, grabbing the jam from the fridge, she grabbed two slides of bread and started covering them with strawberry jam, her favorite. When she finished, she started eating them, as she made her way to the living room.

In there awaited her Rachel, who had stopped playing with her toys, and looked her way. "Mama!" Rachel exclaimed, as she raised her arms up, for Arlene to carry her. Being unable to say no, Arlene fastened her eating as she picked Rachel up in her arms.

"Hello Rachy, how have you been?" Asked Arlene, with a smile on her face. "Okay" Rachel answered. Rachel was currently 11 months old, she was still a baby, so she didn't exactly know how to say many words. But something she knew, was that when she says 'okay' she refered that she was good.

Strange, but at least she understanded what she ment with that. Grabbing Rachel's hair, she began to make a bun, as she decorated it with a red ribbon. Perfect she thought, Rachel looked so beautiful with a bun. 

"Ungy, Mama!" Rachel exclaimed, it seemed like she was hungry, making her way to the kitchen, she grabbed the mashed potatoe that was on a shelf. And placed Rachel on her lap and started feeding her.

Rachel started eating everything really fast, like way really really fast. How could she be so hungry?, Rachel had ate 2 bananas not long ago. She most really have a fast metabolism... She guessed.

It seemed like now Rachel had finished her food, guess it was time to change her. Placing Rachel on her bed, she started taking away Rachel's pants, and shirt. And instead replaced them with a red dress, to match her ribbon. 

"There you go Rach, you look amazing" Arlene says, as she goes to pick some red socks, and black shoes, to match Rachel's style. 

"Mama!", Rachel exclaimed, raising her arms again, to be carried in Arlene's arms. Carrying Rachel again in her arms, her phone started ringing. Making her way to the living room, she picked up her phone with her free hand.

It seemed like the contact that was displayed on the screen, was Enryu, that's weird, he never called this early in the morning, especially if he was on a mission. 

Accepting the call, Arlene says, "Hey, Enryu, did something happened?, you usually don't call when you're on missions, everything alright?". "About that... something happened" Enryu's voice sounded panicked, something bad most have really happened.

"What happened, Enryu?" Arlene asks, with a tint of hope, that nothing bad had happened to V. "It's, V, he got hurt, we sent him to the doctor, but we need your help destroying this enemies", fear started covering her body, did he just say V was hurt!?, why did he always had to get himself in trouble, even after all she told him...

"What, I'm I supposed to do!?, I have a baby to take care of, in case you didn't know!" Arlene yells, gritting her phone with more force. 

"I know, bring her, Eduan will take care of her, while we both kill the enemies, I promise nothing bad will happen to her" Enryu promises, ending the call before she could answer.

"Damn it!" Arlene yells, as she secured Rachel in her arms, and started running to the destination, hopefully she could get in there in time.

When Arlene got there, everything was a total chaos, from dead comrades, to dead enemies. It was really bad, she had to be careful in here or else Rachel could get hurt. 

"Arlene!, over here" someone shouted, looking at who had called her name, she felt relieved that is was Eduan. "Hey Eduan, where's Enryu?" Arlene asks, as she looked at her surroundings, to make sure nobody would attack them.

"He's okay, Zahard and Him are destroying the enemies, he had to call for his backup since V got hurt, and hey, you brought Rach" explained Eduan, as he gently patted Rachel on her head, which earned him a smile from Rachel.

"Edu!" Rachel cheerfully yelled, as she made an effort to escape from Arlene's arms and go to Eduan's. "Shhh, stop yelling Rach" Arlene says, holding Rachel more stronger on her arms, which earned her a little cry from Rachel.

"Uwahh!" Cried Rachel, not wanting to attract attention she placed Rachel on Eduan's arms, as she seriously says, "I'm going to help them, you stay here and make sure Rachel doesn't get hurt, or else-" "okay okay, I got it, don't worry I'll protect her" Eduan confidently says, as he holds Rachel close to him.

"Okay, I'll be back then" Arlene says, as she casted one last glance at Rachel, before making her way to Enryu's. 

Thankfully, when Arlene got there, they were already finishing with the work, as Enryu stabbed the leader with a katana. It seemed like they had wiped away all the enemies, excellent less problems for her.

"Hey, didn't expect to see you here Arlene" a familiar voice called from her right. Right... he was also here

Zahard  

Gritting her teeth, she glared at Zahard as she responded, "I'll have to say the same for you Zahard" venom filled her words.

"Hah, don't get defensive, Arly". Zahard bites back, mockery practically dripping from his voice as he comes to stop several feet from where she standed. "It's Arlene for you" she snarls, clenching her fists.

A laugh escapes from his mouth, as he looks deeply at her, eyes penetrating her entire body, as she feels fear and anger cover her body. "Well, were is she?, where is our daughter Arlene?" Zahard demands, his voice leaving no room to argue.

She looks directly at him as she speaks, "You don't care about that"

"I don't?, she's my daughter too you know, our daughter" Zahard says, voice filled with sarcasm. "Not ours, mine" she made sure to say mine in a really slow way, so he understanded from who Rachel was now, he was crazy if he thought Rachel was going with him. 

"Haha, you expect to be able to raise 2 baby's?, come one Arlene we both know you weren't ready to become a mother" he grins, as his eyes stare at her belly, she wanted nothing more then to punch his disgusting face.

"Oh really?, what could you possibly know about-" "Hey!, it's enough you too, leave your discussions for later" Enryu interrupts the two, making his way towards them.

"Alright~, I'll stop, once I get to see my daughter, it's only fair" Zahard says, as his eyes travel over to the new figure coming to them.

"Hey, sorry Arly, Rachel wanted to go with you, figured you guys might had finished" Eduan says, a hand on Rachel's hair, he was trying to calm the crying Rachel.

"Mama!" Rachel cried out, extending her arms towards Arlene. Grabbing Rachel in her arms, she secured Rachel and gave a small 'thank you' to Eduan.

"Rachel, huh, that's a pretty name" Zahard says, eyes looking curiously at Rachel. "This is her, take a good look, and don't ever get in my way" Arlene replied.

"Well, she's certainly pretty, yellow eyes, just like yours, haha" Zahard says, as he lifted Rachel's chin, to take a better look at them. In which Rachel reacted by moving away, and hiding her face on Arlene's neck. 

"Oh, what a cutie our daughter is" he says, his hand moving to pat Rachel's head. "Well, you already got what you wanted, now leave" Arlene harshly says, eyes glaring daggers at him.

"Guess, I will, say my regards to V~, just know one day she will be mine, I'll make sure to let her know I'm her father" Zahard says, as he starts walking away. Arlene only watched him go, feeling relieve cover her body.

She had to go with V, she needed to make sure he was alright. Saying her goodbye's to everyone, she hurried up to the hospital.

When Arlene reached the hospital, the doctors assured her that he was going to be okay, right now he was resting, he had a pretty bad head injury, but regard less he was going to be okay, that was good.

Her eyes then traveled to the sleeping figure on the bed with V, Rachel was sound asleep, when Rachel saw V she started hopping on her arms, getting uncontrollably excited at seeing V, and since V was awake not long ago, he grabbed Rachel on his arms and played with her.

Now, they both were asleep, she was the only one awake, Zahard's words were still present on her head 'one day she will be mine, I'll make sure to let her know I'm her father'. She had to be more careful from now on, she couldn't risk Rachel finding out the truth, that would break her heart.

A gasp left her mouth, as someone kicked her from inside her belly, it was the baby, the doctor's did had tell her that the baby would be born soon, she couldn't be anymore happier. She just hoped she would be able to keep her family from harm's way.

She would give anything to see her family safe, even give her own life.

Chapter Text

The next couple of weeks consisted of Arlene sleeping constantly and neither V nor Eduan ever once leaving her side, much to Arlene's dismay and annoyance, but, sometimes Arlene would just found it amusing when Eduan would pamper her and make sure she was alright.

He would always make sure she had everything she needed, food, water, meds, all does kind of things. V would constantly visit her and stop going on missions, the baby would be born soon and V had told her that he wouldn't lose a second of seeing his baby being born.

And to be too honest, Arlene was so excited. Soooo excited to finally meet her baby, that she had stayed one whole day making plans about the new baby's room. She had thought about placing her baby in Rachel's room, but, Rachel was already much more mature than her newborn baby, she would cry less now, and allow her to sleep some hours.

And if she placed her baby with Rachel, he might make a fuss and start crying, and that would wake Rachel up. And then they both would start crying. She wasn't going to take her chances. 

So it was probably better to buy a crib and place it in her room. That way she could go more easily to her baby.

And she swore with all her being, that she would protect her child at all costs, even if that meant killing someone she loved.

Enryu was also a huge help. Whenever V or Eduan were out on patrol, he along with whoever else was with him, would watch over her and make sure she was protected. In all honestly, she didn't think they would all be so concerned for her, as well as to stay hours making sure she had everything she needed.

Of course, she allowed everyone to come from time to time to visit her, but sometimes it could get a little exhausting being taken care of every day, she needed her space just like everyone else also needed it. But V was so persistent in staying with her every second that she could hardly have any time to think alone.

Again, as every day passed, Arlene was getting more and more impatient to see her baby and get them out of her, mostly because of back pains and morning sickness but hey, she wanted to hold her baby soon!

But, then, when the day arrived, all thoughts of doubt started to slink back in.

It was when they were all getting ready to eat dinner, around five in the afternoon or so and Arlene was helping Eduan set the table since Enryu, and Eduan wanted to stay at her house for dinner.

Ahe was just about to set a plate on the table when a pain in her lower stomach made her gasp and drop the piece of glass to the floor, the object shattering as soon as it met the ground.

Eduan whirled around with wide eyes and was at her side in a few moments as Arlene crouched down.

"Are you okay?" He asked. "Does something hurt?"

Arlene panted for a few seconds and, once the pain subsided, she instantly knew what was happening. She turned to Eduan with parted lips and said;

"I think the baby's coming." Then, all hell broke loose

"Get her some water!"

"Go get some blankets!"

"Bring her some towels!"

Arlene groaned from where she sat on her and V's bed as she watched as V was practically acting like a dictator at this point, a super crazy dictator as he ordered Eduan and Enryu around. Instructing them to make sure she was as much relaxed as she could.

Arlene sighed and reached out to grip V's jacket, catching his attention, who stared back at her in seconds.

"What do you need, Arly?, Whatever it is I can get it for you."

Arlene just smiled slightly and shook her head. "What I need is for you to calm down," she replied, moving some of V's brown bangs from his face. "Everything will be okay, you know that right? You don't have to freak out."

The brunette hesitated for a few moments before sighing and relenting. He nodded and gripped Arlene's hand tightly in his own.

"Fine..." He muttered and Arlene kissed his reddened cheek. Which earned her a smile from V, perfect now he was calmer, just what she needed.

Turning her attention to Enryu, she asked, "How long do you think this will take?". " It could last thirty-two hours, but I suspect it won't take that long" he replied.

"Hopefully," Arlene mumbled. "I'm already super tired..."

"You might be able to take a short nap," Enryu says, as he wraps her with a blanket. "If the pain isn't so bad at least, you could get about two to three hours of sleep if you want, I'll take care of Rachel if you want"

Arlene contemplated for a moment before she nodded, yawning slightly.

"Yeah," she responded, eyes drooping lazily. "I think...I think I'll just take a nap for a little bit," she then looked to V who kissed her forehead. 

It wasn't long before Arlene passed out and soon, she fell asleep in the comforting arms of V.

Unfortunately, her peaceful slumber didn't last long.

"Breathe for me, Arlene" V whispered and gently ran his fingers through her hair from where Arlene was now leaning on the bed, her hands pushed into the mattress as she laid her head in between her fists and her feet on the floor of the bedroom.

Arlene groaned in pain as another wave of painful cramps shot up her spine and she couldn't hold in her shivers. " It hurts..." She mumbled.

Eduan came back into the room at that moment with a cold washcloth.

"Here, Arlene," He said quietly, lifting her head so Eduan could dab the cloth over her face, making her sigh in relief at the coolness. "Are you doing okay?" The bluehead asked and Arlene whined.

"Sort of..." She replied. "My back and thighs hurt badly..."

Suddenly, clear liquid gushed from inside of her, soaking her, and part of her dress.

"Shit," Eduan cursed and Enryu's eyes widened, yelling out in surprise, Rachel was in his arms looking curiously at her.

"Wha-what the hell!?" Arlene squeaked, panicking.

"No, no, it's okay," V tried to calm her. "That was most likely your water that broke. That's good."

"How is any of this good?!" Arlene shouted, tears welling up in her vision as V helped her get rid of her pantie, before handing her a towel to wipe herself off quickly. "This-this is terrible. I hate this." Arlene said, cleaning herself off with the towel. Yuck- this was disgusting.

"I brought some ice for you to suck on," Eduan began as he entered the room, a cup full of ice in his hands. "It should help with the heat and pain just a little. Do you want to try some, Arl?" He asked as he crouched down next to her, she sobbed a bit before nodding.

"Thank you" she mumbled, taking the ice in her mouth, Gently relaxing on the bed.

"This is going to be so exciting!, I can't wait to meet the baby!" Eduan squealed, and Enryu smiled at her.

Smiling back at them, she turned her attention to Rachel who was staring at her. "You'll be a sister soon, sweetheart," Arlene said. A smile started forming on Rachel's lips, as she shouted, "Mama!".

Rachel wanted to be carried in her arms, sadly she couldn't fulfill that request. And Rachel seemed to notice that, as she started sobbing, "Uwaaah!" Rachel cried out, squirming on Enryu's arms.

"Hey, it's okay, Rach, mommy will soon carry you," Enryu said, as he gave Rachel a toy to play with. And that seemed to calm her as she started playing with the toy, her favorite toy, literally.

Arlene moaned as another wave of pain, straiked her, "Shit" she cursed, tears filling her vision.

"Shhh, everything is going to be okay don't worry Arly, I'm here for you, we are here for you", V reminded, as he gently, ran his fingers through her hair.

It took about two hours before Arlene was ready to push, all the while, the others were there with her the whole time, comforting hee and giving her space when needed.

Honestly, if she weren't in so much pain, Arlene might've been overwhelmed by it all.

But now it was time.

There was blood, a lot of blood was on the bed, At this point, Arlene could see V freaking out, even though he was the one to tell her to calm down..., well look how things turned out.

"Come on, Arlene," Eduan panted slightly, doing his best to try and stay calm even though everything was so chaotic at the moment. "You can do it. Take a break if you need too, it's okay. You're doing it, Arl!"

Arlene, who had her back pressed up against V's chest, who was gasping for air, breathing heavily, and who was currently in the process of trying to give birth, cried out again as another wave of painful pushing hit her all at once. "Shit!!" She screamed, head thrown back against V's shoulder, sweat covering her entire body. "Fuck, fuck, fuck, it hurts. V, it hurts!." she cried.

"You are doing great, honey, don't worry it will soon be over! give it one big push okay?" V said, cleaning the sweat from her forehead. 

Arlene whimpered again as she suddenly took a break, panting for air and legs slightly trembling. 

Arlene breathed in deeply before exhaling shakily. She swallowed thickly, licking her dry lips, as she nodded, sniffling just a bit, V smiled. "Okay. Ready?" She nodded again. "Alright, here we go. One, two, three-!"

Arlene squeezed her eyes shut preparing for the pain.

"Push!"

Arlene focused everything she had into pushing this damned baby out of her, and it hurt so fucking bad she ended up screaming again, screaming so loudly her voice began to go hoarse.

"He's almost out!" Eduan shouted.

"You're almost there!" Enryu exclaimed

And then,

the pain blissfully ceased, and Arlene went limp against V, gasping for air and sobbing slightly as she felt the rest of her baby slip out of her.

A ring of gasps rang throughout the room, along with laughter and cheers.

Arlene's vision blurred as she panted against V's shoulder and she could tell V was crying by the way his chest moved.

Suddenly-

"It's a boy! just as the doctor said!" Eduan squealed with a huge smile on his face.

Slowly looking down, she was surprised to find the baby already wrapped in a blanket, a yellow blanket.

"Here, this is yours Arl," Eduan said, as he handed her the crying baby. Taking the baby in her arms, tears started forming in her eyes, as she cuddled her baby in her arms.

"He's beautiful, just like you Arly," V said, gently kissing her forehead. "Really?, because I think he just as beautiful, as you" Arlene cheekily said, glancing at Rachel who was now looking at her with teary eyes, she said, "Enryu, please bring Rachel" 

Enryu nodded, as he walked towards her, placing Rachel next to her on the bed. "Look darling, this is your new brother, be a good sister for him okay?" Arlene cheerfully said as she kissed Rachel on the forehead.

"Yes!" Rachel promised as she hugged Arlene, and grabbed the baby's hand. It warmed Arlene's heart seeing how her baby yawned, he was so full of life, she would protect him at any cost.

Suddenly Eduan gasped.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" He shouted, running towards the back of the room and picking something up before coming back over to the couple. "You need to cut the umbilical cord! Who wants to do it?" He asked, staring at the two of them.

"You should do it Enryu," V said, as he handed him the knife. "Wha-, why me?" Enryu asked, staring at the pair.

"Well, you have taken care of Rachel when we needed help, or when we were on missions, plus, you have practically been part of our family ever since we met," V said, a smile on his lips formed, as he gave the knife to Enryu.

"Thanks, guys, it's an honor to do it," Enryu said, as he approached the baby.

He was now holding a knife and cutting the cord, Arlene grimaced at the wet sound it made before finally, she and the baby were no longer connected.

Arlene sighed in relief and held her little one as tightly as she could without hurting him.

"So, have you guys thought of any names?" Eduan curiously asked, before approaching the pair and patting Rachel on her head. Rachel then gently tugged Eduan's shirt and played with it. Eduan only chuckled in return.

"Yes, we were discussing the name, and we finally have agreed on the perfect name," Arlene said, as she kissed her baby on his forehead.

"His name is Jyu Viole Grace"
