Work Text:

Your small delicate hand came to rest atop your intercate silk robe, smoothing away the creases that it formed over your curved and full belly. The setting sun's rays painted the sky and you watched as the shades of lavender, pink and golden yellow mix peacefully. Your mind carelessly wandered to days long gone.

You must have been 4 or 5 years old at the time and the evening was like any other as you chased around the young master of this very house in the family's garden. Tackling, clinging and yanking the slightly older boy all afternoon.

" Oh, enough already! " He huffed, flustered as you tugged on his sleeve for the last time. " You're so annoying! "

" Toru~ " You whined, large round eyes gleaming. " I'm not annoying, just play with me! "

" I've played with you all day! Thats all you want to do, you baby. " He crossed his arms, effectively keeping his sleeves from you as he tucked them into his sides.

" I- " You started to choke up as your eyes glossed over with tears. " I'M NOT A BABY! " Your head tossed back as the waterworks started.

" Cry baby. " An 8 year old Satoru spat as he let his crystalline orbs roll up in irritation.

Shortly after hearing the commotion, your mother ran over to you and cradled you into her arms. " There, there. " She soothed you. Satoru watched as you buried your face into your mother's shoulder and sobbed. " What's happened, young master? " She pleaded with the snowy haired child.

" I'm tired of playing with (Y/n), you can take her home now. " He said peaking through a cracked eyelid. Your mother forced a smile.

" Young Lord Gojo, " She responded calmly. " You know that one day, this will be (Y/n) -Chan's home as well. Please try to be a little kinder to her. " At your mother's soft words you wiped your tears and turned to face the boy once more.

His ice cold glare sent a shiver down your spine and when he poked his tongue out at you cried all over again.

You laughed to yourself as the memory faded and the sun finished setting into the distant horizon. Your relationship was never easily explained. It was one that had to do with blood ties, inherited techniques, peace treaties and curse abilities. In short, it was an arranged marriage between your clan and the Gojos. Your family was much smaller and less established in the Sorcering realm, so when the opportunity came to merge with the successful Gojo family, there was hardly a moments hesitation.

Although you went through rebellious phases and had your share of self doubt and even resentment at times, you had come to terms with the pact. You understood your roll in the much bigger picture and felt a strong sense of responsibility towards your clan. It would be a lie to say the negative outweighed the positives in this insane relationship.

And it was insane to be promised to Satoru.

" Hey ~ " A low and smooth voice called from the door way. You turned to face the tall, white haired man as he entered the room.
" Kinda cold to be sitting all alone out here, don't you think? "

" I was just reminiscing about how we used to play in the courtyard all day long. " You offered up a soft smile as he came to stand over you.

" You called that play? " Gojo barked a laugh and looked out onto the garden as he recalled his own memories. " I was busy training, and you would come over just to distract me. " He corrected you in a matter of fact tone, effectively earning a pout from you.

" Man, " Gojo sighed as he plopped down on the mat beside you. " What I wouldn't give to have you tugging at my sleeves when we were teens though ... You got so cute, ( Y/n ) -Chan. "

" Oh hush! " You playfully swatted him with your palm. " I was always cute! And you were always a pain in my back side. "

He effortlessly caught your wrist in his large hand and leaned onto his propped up leg as he peered at you from behind his sunglasses. Your skin seemed to glow in the moonlight now as the night sky reflected in your eyes. He admired your gentle expression and thought back to those days.

The loud buzzing of cicadas filled the forest air as the Summer sun beat down in full force.

You sat in the shade on the cool stone steps of Jujutsu Technical School, angrily staring into the mess of trees that surrounded the institution along with your fellow classmate. Geto was quietly at your side, resting after his intense training session.

" Want to go halfsies? " You offered the dark haired boy the other half of your icy blue popsicle. " Its melting way too fast for me to eat it all. "

Geto looked over at you shyly as he watched you snap the cool pop in half and hold it out to him.

" Sure. " He pursed his dry lips and then finally reached out to you.

The pounding sound of foot steps suddenly echoed above your heads, demanding your immediate attention. Instantly you felt the corners of your mouth turn down as your intuition told you where the sound was coming from.

A flash of white hair darted between you and your classmate, snagging up the icy treat in its wake.

" Finders keepers! " Gojo announced proudly as he stopped and turned at the bottom of the steps and held up the other half of your popsicle.

" Seriously? What are you?! 7?! " You practically shrieked in rage as you sprung to your feet. " Give it back to Geto, you ass! "

Geto watched your antics unphased; this was hardly his first rodeo.

" Nah, blues the best flavor. " Satoru teased back as he opened his mouth wide and let his long tongue roll out. You felt your face light up; did it just get even hotter?

Before he even had a chance to indulge the look on your face or the stolen popsicle, the suns rays effectively melted it away from its stick and onto his shoe.

The cicadas fell silent for a moment.

Laughter erupted from you so violently that your sides began to hurt. Beside you Geto hid his face in his large hands.

" BAHAHA! THATS WHAT YOU GET, JERK! "

Satoru felt his eyebrows pull together in defeat as he watched you keel over on the steps. Your explosive laughter growing louder and louder, he could hardly stand it. The young sorcerer marched up the steps and kneeled directly in front of your hystericle form.

" What? " You challenged as you stared up at glistening pools of cyan colored fire. " Are you gonna try to take my half too? " You kept your eyes locked with intensly azure irises as you slid the last of the pop into your mouth. Gojo's smirk fell from his lips and you hummed completely satisfied.

" You shouldn't have done that. " His low voice warned as he took your chin carefully between his index finger and thumb and steeled himself. Your shocked expression was priceless as he lowered his mouth onto yours, sealing them firmly together and yet softly all at once. His heart raced against his chest as his tongue gently slid over your bottom lip, lapping up the remnants of blue flavored juices.

He stole your first kiss and you delivered his first black eye.

One of the fondest memories that Gojo's heart held near and dear. He could never forget. How could he? After all the hardships and time and history between the two of you. His heart felt content just being able to sit next to you in this tranquil moment under the moon.

For as long as he could remember, you were the one constant in his life. It was lonely at the top, but he would never truly be alone so long as he had you. Though you hardly saw eye to eye, there was no one he enjoyed teasing more, no one he hated to see cry more than you. He smiled at the thought of everything it took to finally reach this point in his life with you. The game of cat and mouse felt eternal for him, but at long last you were on the same page.

" What are you thinking about? " Your soft voice suddenly broke his trance. He blinked, realizing he had accidentally gotten lost in your eyes once again.

" You. " He grinned like a true mad man.

You blushed and turned away. God, he loved how easily you became flustered under his gaze. He reached for your hand and pressed his soft lips firmly against the golden band around your ring finger. His head once again filled with an unforgettable memory.

When the word had reached your betrothed about your most recent mission he was beside you within the minute. He was livid that he wasn't the first to know about just how badly it had went. Upon seeing your condition he felt even worse still. You were a mess of bruised skin, scabbed over cuts, bandages and even a few broken bones.

" Fuck. " He managed to breathe out after a moment had passed.

" She's going to be fine. " Shoko sighed for what felt like the hundredth time that day. " She just needs to rest. Her energy is completely depleted and her body took a beating but she's going to pull through. "

" I know that. " Gojo replied flatly, he wouldn't have accepted any other answer. " I know. " He had to reassure himself.

Shoko watched him as he watched you. His cold blue eyes never left your sleeping form, it was as if watching your chest rise and fall evenly took the edge off his worry with each passing breath.

" I hadn't seen her in weeks. " He confessed, never breaking his gaze. " She must've been running missions non- stop trying to get that stupid promotion. " He gave a dry laugh as he shook his head. " I told her not to over do it. " He paused and placed his head between his hands. " I should've kept a closer eye on her. " He stood up, walked over to your bed side with his head hung low.

" She isn't a kid, Gojo. " The tired eyed woman stated flattly. " She knows better than to push herself past her limits. Besides, if she did over do it, at least you'd be a free man again. " Shoko shrugged, trying to lighten her friend's mood. " No more arranged marriage to worry about. "

The white haired male barked a laugh, his crystalline eyes tore away from you for just a moment. " I'm the strongest sorcerer in a hundred years. Do you really think my parent's little contract ever meant anything to me? " He scoffed, as if he could ever be rid of you so easily.

" I figured as much. " Ieri retorted as a smirk grew on her lips. " She should be up soon, think you could monitor her for me? I need to take my smoke break. "

" Thanks. "

Shoko took her leave and Gojo's eyes found their way back to you. He stood up and walked over to your bed side, feeling his chest constrict painfully as he noticed your busted lip.

" You're such a brat. " He whispered to you as he ever so carefully pushed back stray strands of hair that had fallen onto your face. " I'll be right here when you wake up. " He assured you. " So don't keep me waiting, (Y/n). "

The room was dark, but you recognized it as the Jujutsu tech medical center once your sense came back to you. You also couldn't help but notice a familiar presence.

" ... Satoru? "

" Good morning, sunshine! " The tall man was spread out on the couch against the wall, presumably napping before you woke him up.

Normally you would run him off or walk away before he even had the chance to annoy you but considering your near death experience, you felt extremely relieved to see his familiar smile. Truth be told, there was no one else that you would've wanted by your side.

" Toru. " You cried, unable to hold back tears.
He lunged at you with open arms, pulling you tight against him. He held you almost too firmly in your weakened state but you welcomed the sense of safety and comfort only he could give you.

" Listen, " The question was burning at the back of his throat for what felt like forever. Maybe now wasn't how you dreamed it to be, but he had waited long enough and he wasn't going to waste another precious moment.

" Marry me. "

" Toru!! " You suddenly gasped, eyes wide.

" What!? " He practically jumped beside you, his flashback fading away instantly.

" The baby! " You gushed as you placed his large hand over your swollen belly. " He's kicking! He's right here! "

Gojo's heart was doing flips in his chest. As if the way your face lit up when you spoke about his child wasn't enough to melt him, he could feel the baby moving softly under his palm.

" Oh, you're right! He's so strong! "

" I know! Let's just hope he has your abilities too. " You expression slightly fell. This irritated your husband.

" What does it matter if he does or doesn't? " He snapped. " As long as he looks like you, we're good. "  Your face fell flat at his nonchalant tone.

" You do realize that the whole reason our families formed an alliance through our arranged marriage is based solely on the premise that we conceive a child with your six eyes and limitless curse technique. " Your beautiful face was now marred with stress and worry. Nothing irked Gojo more than when you spoke about the marriage contract, but he was determined to make you understand.

" I didn't marry you for our families. " Gojo's face was completely serious now. " I married you for me. "

You felt your face go completely red. You would never ever get used to the way he could so effortlessly declare his love for you over and over. The baby felt your heart beat accelerate and continued to kick against his father's hand. Satoru felt his smile come back.

" Besides, " Gojo chuckled at your side, never releasing your hand from his. " If this one doesn't inherit my awesome abilities, we'll just make another one. "

~

A few months later into the winter season you gave birth to healthy baby boy. When your sons eyelids finally fluttered open they revealed piercing blue orbs that were just like his fathers; all six of them.
