Zayne would often hold out for weeks on end before actively feeding, it wasn’t unusual for him to go without it, but that isn’t to say it was good for him either. His self-restraint was damn near immovable so, naturally, you made it your mission to poke and prod at him for not feeding. He still needed to take care of himself, even if he was no longer human.
After some time, you had proposed that he should feed on you. He was initially against the idea, saying it would be more convenient for him to continue drinking from the hospital’s supply, or hunting on his own. Though, something about him hunting, human or animals alike, made you jealous. You couldn’t explain why, but it did. You were perfect for the “position”, so why not ask a friend? You and Zayne had known each other since you were kids, so it was only natural that you felt the way that you did. Probably.
