Todoroki Shouto always tried to be optimistic even if it doesn't really show much even Midoriya, his closest friend, would sometimes have a hard time trying to know how he thinks.
Shouto sometimes come to think that no one would be able to read his expressions until Momo showed him how.
It was when they had a study session together right before the exams. They came to help each other, Momo insisted that he goes to her room instead of her going to his. Who was he to deny his crush's request?!
When he came to her room, she was very excited in studying. Shouto would teach her more in math while Momo would teach him more in English and social studies.
It came to the point where Shouto was very frustrated, he couldn't understand that one thing in social studies. Momo smiled and patiently thought him.
"You know Shouto-kun... If you try to be more optimistic you would easily learn whatever you want. Don't give up! " She stated, a bright smile on her face.
From then on, Shouto learned to be more optimistic. Still, his friend couldn't tell what's wrong or what's he feeling but whenever Momo would pass by, she could tell.
He's optimistic.
