    Shen Yuan isn't the only one to make the perilous journey across space and time, and everyone has unfinished business. Old demons are back and there's a lot of dirt to sift through before he's at rock bottom.

This fic follows two timelines, Binghe's time in the demon realm in the north grappling with his past, and Shen Qingqiu three years later, trying to figure out whether or not his disciple is still alive. Circumstances mean that they can't reunite while their realms are still at odds. Will they figure out a way to see each other again, or will politics really be the death of them?
