Work Text:
Megumi was never the type to share a lot of his feelings to others. Romantic feelings were a whole other matter; you never saw him blushing at all. Yet there he was, standing in front of you with the most flustered expression you've ever seen. His fingers tug at the ends of his shirt as he stares at the ground. Despite how much Megumi tried to hide his face, you could see him bite his lower lip of nervousness. His hair a mess and his clothes wrinkled, you could tell that he had woken up earlier than usual to see you.
"Is there something you need?" you asked, causing him to slightly flinch at the sound of your voice. "You're the one that's been writing all those notes, right?"
The 'complimentary notes,' as you called them, had started appearing about a month ago. Every day you would receive a small note, about the size of a post-it note. Written on it would be a compliment, characterized towards you. There's no doubt that they would make your day, the words written in a neat cursive.
Megumi blinks, once or twice, before responding, "And so what if I did?" "Was it Gojo?" you smile, knowing that Gojo would be the first person to notice Megumi's feelings, "he's always had a knack for telling you to do stuff." He nods, a sigh leaving his lungs. "Look," he begins, "I'm just going to put it out there." Megumi intertwines his fingers before breathing in again. "I love you."
You hum a bit, examining his face. He's beautiful, alright. The way his long eyelashes compliments his light green eyes is something you've always adored. "Is that so?" you say, intertwining your fingers with his, lips connecting for a brief moment before parting. A moment of bliss, you would call it.
"I've always loved you as well."
