Day #7: Soulmates
Soulmates, a word so prevalent in this world that it would be strange if no one spoke about it. It wasn’t like those sweet fictional stories where two people who met for the first time in a world full of black and white suddenly was given colour in their dull little world. Nor was it the sweet inky words written on bright flesh that predestined a pairs fate.
No, this word was different.
Soulmates were each other’s protector.
When days were dark with no sun to brighten up your world, a soulmate would come and protect.
The protection of a soulmate would come by dreams.
The dark inner world was filled with monstrous nightmares, as the subconscious mind twisted the owner’s feelings around. The only way for a soulmate to connect with each other was to fight off those demons hidden in the deepest part of their other half’s dreams and open the door for them.
