God, it’s such a fucking mess.
“Toni?” she brings you back to the moment.
“Uh yeah— sorry, I’m here.”
“I better get inside.”
“Okay.”
But Shelby hovers like there’s something else on the tip of her tongue begging to come out.
“Toni?” she calls again in the end, “Don’t be a stranger again, please.”
