   Summary

   One morning, thirteen-year-old Malley Sye woke up and found she was sharing a bed with her own corpse.

   Life was not often kind to Malley.

   Life, as it turned out, was about to be unkind to a lot of other people, too.

   When a dam bursts and a poor neighborhood in Inkopolis floods over, nine people, trapped in a crowded apartment building, struggle to manage the needs of the displaced former tenants; or, a winding study of love and fear, in situations far beyond control.

   Featuring plenty of artwork from all kinds of talented fans, several ongoing arguments, some early proofreading from the lovely AddisonNoxy of "Stormy Dreams" fame, headcanon discourse, overcomplicated worldbuilding, fear, irresponsibility, angst, disease, a 140-song playlist featuring some tracks by the unbelievable GlassesFreekJr, and possible clownfish romance. Takes place roughly a year or so before the events of Splatoon 3.

   Although writing for this project began before Splatoon 3's release, "EiG:BSF" has been labeled 'canon compliant' to the Splatoon series after extensive research and confirmation. Previously updated on Saturdays.
