“Anything Shizun likes,” Binghe says, his tone dazed—sleepy, after all, Shen Qingqiu thinks.
“Yes, well, I’m not the sort of master to use you too ill, I hope,” Shen Qingqiu laughs lightly. Trying not to think of what the future holds. It is easy enough: this is perhaps the worst and largest thing his mind obligingly shifts away from his line of sight. (For if his waking mind once fully and seriously dwelt on this, the panic and guilt and shame would consume Shen Qingqiu, rendering him unable to function at all.)
“Mm,” Binghe agrees—drowsy, now that the potential excitement has passed, and obedient.
