"Isn't it lovely?" The man in blue asks. He stares up at the bright sky with a smile. His blue flowers glow bright at the reflection of the sunlight.
"How.. How are you here? I thought you wouldn't appear again?" The white prince stares at his opened window in astonishment and delight. He spreads his arms out, catching the floating spirit.
"Worry not, my dear. Let us savor every moment we have in this lovely light that the sun has blessed us."
"Naib.." Eli whispers, "I.." Close to tears, his embrace grows strong around the spirit. Naib chuckles, patting behind Eli's back. He presses his head against the other male and whispers, "I miss you too. Every second away from you is always a missed opportunity to show my affection."
A cry comes out of the prince and the spirit never lets go of his hug. They stay there until Eli calms down with Naib whispering gentle words, kisses, and a soothing rub on his back.
"Reality is the cruelest of all.." Naib begins, releasing the embrace, and holds his lover's face. "But it'll never stop the warmth I'll always lend to you."
A kiss they share, lovingly tangling together as they have been apart for many years. Even out of breath, Eli never wants to let go, but the sun releases for the sake of his being.
"Let's do something, Eli. It's been a while since we've done something together, right?"
"Y-Yeah."
Naib smiles widely. He stands straight and bows, lifting his hand up to offer the other.
"Shall we dance, my lovely?"
Eli delicately places his hand on top.
"We shall."
In a large room with 3 sparkling windows gleaming down at the dancing couple, the blue butterfly lands at the entrance of the opened one.
Slow movements, spins, eyes never leaving off of each other, Eli finally smiles.
"A beauty.."
"Hm?"
"Nothing."
Naib leans in for another kiss, stopping their dance. Eli gasps at the sudden movement, eventually falling into his touch. The spirit slowly traces his lips and downwards to his neck, where he places a mark of claim. He lets go and sees a red faced prince staring at the floor. Naib laughs at him.
Eventually, they settle by sitting on Eli's king sized bed and catching up to each other for the lost years.
"I remember when you were younger, dressed as the stars and all blue. And people made fun of you for it."
"Hey! I liked that outfit."
"Haha~! Well, considering that you like to study astrology."
Eli pouts while Naib pats his head.
Then, the butterfly flies over the Naib and lands on his head.
"Ah.."
"What's wrong, Naib?"
"It's too soon."
"What is..?"
Naib stands up to float and carries Eli over to the opened window.
"Naib..?" The fear in Eli's voice devasts him. He knows he's going to leave him again. In the dark, in the cruel world, in solitude like he was forced to do.
Naib places him down and floats out of the window and sits on the edge. He points to the sky where there was a black dot where the sun is supposed to be.
A solar eclipse.
Eli gasps as realization drowns his mind. "So the reason you're here now is.."
A silent kiss.
"Yes." He holds onto his prince's hands and stares lovingly at him. His yellow eyes glow as it slowly waters.
"My time is about to be up, Eli."
The large celestial body, inch by inch, and slowly moving the left uncovers the sun.
The hopeless couple could only watch and hold onto each other's hands as tightly as they could.
No words spoken, only the touch and slight cries from the two.
Right before the sun is fully uncovered, Naib turns around to look at Eli as a tear slides down on his face. He gives Eli one last and final kiss.
Before he disappears, before his body fades into the light that always shines towards the prince, Naib could only smile brightly at Eli and say,
"Until our next eclipse, my moon."
