Midoriya wasn't quite sure what happened.
One minute, he was in the middle of getting a beating from Bakugou and his lackeys, all because he was a Quirkless nobody that just so happened to be there.
The next, he found himself in the middle of some cloudy void, with a pair ethereal eyes opening in front of him.
"Uh... hi, giant eyes!" he greeted awkwardly.
"Izuku Midoriya..." the eyes lowered. "I was hoping I wouldn't meet you so young..."
Midoriya flinched. "How do you know my name?!"
"I saw your mother once. She told me about you. How you were born Quirkless."
The boy flinched.
"And I'm afraid that's not all... because if you're here... it means you're dead."
"D-D-Dead?!" Midoriya ruffled his hair. "But that's not possible! How did I even die?!"
"The beating you were getting from that boy went a bit... overboard."
Midoriya lowered his head.
"However, there is a silver lining to this. You see, our meeting isn't by chance."
Midoriya raised his head.
"I will bring you back to life, per your mother's wishes. However, doing so will also gift you with a powerful, yet terrible Quirk."
Midoriya winced. "A powerful, but terrible Quirk?"
The eyes began glowing.
"You'll see what I mean soon enough."
Then, a bright flash of white covered Midoriya's vision, and a few seconds later, he was back in the middle of the beating he was getting from Bakugou, with a few differences:
Bakugou was reeling back while clutching his fist, Midoriya could feel his skin covered by some protective layer, and most importantly:
"I have a Quirk?"
Izuku Midoriya! "Quirk:" Death Wish! Every time he dies by unnatural causes, he can make a wish before time resets to a time of his liking, gaining a Quirk-like power depending on the wish! However, if he dies again, then the previous power will be replaced by a new one depending on the wish he made!
