“Can I ask you a question?” Rohan asked, moving closer to Jotaro, “Another one, I mean.”
Jotaro looked over at him, “Yeah, anything. Though at this point I’m surprised you haven’t just used your stand on me.”
Rohan shrugged, “I don’t have a reason to, you aren’t a threat. I wouldn’t use it just to read your memories.”
“Have you considered it?”
“I’m the one that’s supposed to be asking the questions,” Rohan replied with a smile. He shook his head, “But no, I haven’t considered it. Like I said, I don’t have a reason to. You’re just… a summer fling, if you wanna call it that. You don’t have to tell me anything really.”
“Whatever you want to know, I’ll do my best to answer.”
Rohan was quiet for a moment, not sure how to phrase his question. He looked down at his hands, “Do you regret this?”
“Hm?”
“Do you regret this? Our relationship. Coming to Morioh in the first place. Any of it, do you regret it?”
Jotaro didn’t respond right away, instead staring at Rohan in silence. Rohan picked at the threads of his comforter, “You don’t have to answer that.”
“No.”
“No?”
“I don’t regret this. Not at all.”
Rohan looked up at him, “Oh. Really?”
“Really,” Jotaro replied. He sat up and turned to Rohan, “If anything, I would do this again and again. You, uh- I like you a lot, I guess.”
Rohan softly smiled, “You guess?”
“I’m not good at this, but I can try.”
“Take your time.”
“Being with you has been the happiest I’ve been, especially with getting divorced last year,” Jotaro said, slowly trying to figure out what to say, “I don’t regret being with you or coming here. If anything, I’m going to regret leaving you.”
“You could stay,” Rohan replied.
“I can’t. I have to go see Jolyne. I would stay if I could, I don’t want to leave you.”
“Then come back. Please,” Rohan said quietly. He reached over and took Jotaro’s hand, “A month or a year, just come back.”
Jotaro brought Rohan’s hand up to his mouth and pressed a soft kiss to his knuckles, “I’ll come back. And we still have a few days together. I’m not going to let this become another thing that I regret, I want to be with you. If you want to be with me.”
Rohan chuckled and rolled his eyes, “Of course I want to be with you! We’ve only been sleeping together for almost four months. You’ve stayed here more than your own hotel room, at this point you’re my boyfriend.”
“I would like that. Being your boyfriend, I mean.”
“I would like that too.”
Using his free hand, Jotaro gently pulled Rohan into a kiss, a soft smile spreading across both of their faces.
