Chapter Text

You’ve reached Fiddleford McGucket. Sorry I’m not able to get to the phone, but please leave a message and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

“Hello Fiddleford- it’s Ford. I know you’ve insisted on leaving the interdimensional portal project, but I’m asking you to come back and work with me. I now see how dangerous it is, and I want you to be a part of dismantling the portal and erasing any trace of its existence. It would be greatly appreciated, and I would compensate you for your time, of course. If you change your mind, you know how to get in touch.”

“Fiddleford, it’s me. Please come back. Your help would make progress much faster than it currently is, and I’m begging you to reconsider. This is such a big undertaking, and I can’t do it alone. Please, just think about it. Call me back if you have questions.”

“Fidds, I need your help. I’m so sorry for what happened to you- it, it was all my fault. I know I can’t fix what I did, but please help me to at least take a step towards making things right. I know that you’re angry, that you hate me, even, but please, Fiddleford, I can’t do this alone. I’m sorry.”

Notes:

I haven't forgotten about you. Progress is happening on my end, but slow and steady is the name of the game.
