Summary
When several people receive Valentines cards from deceased loved ones, Miss Eliza Scarlet sets out to uncover who is behind the workings of this odd initiation. Inspector Wellington sees it as little more than a harmless prank, but there may be a different, darker message behind these tokens of love. He soon finds himself wrapped up in Eliza’s case, which draws the two into the mysteries of harbored romance and desire, as they pursue who can only be known to them as Mr. Valentine.
