    The universe works in a way that puts them together, so Guanheng didn’t think it needed to be anymore obvious than that. He didn’t think a title was as important when there was a constant force which pushes them together, which always passes Dejun into his arms, always puts Dejun’s hand in his.

    But right now, when he’s not even sure if Dejun is breathing, Guanheng realizes he can’t put his faith into the universe.

    He can’t trust the universe to not be cruel—the whole reason they had found themselves in this little family was because the universe was unfair to them all.
