Tokoyami held up two t-shirts in front of his boyfriends. They were all hanging out in the mall today just to get a break from all the stress at U.A. “You know, I think you both would look gorgeous in black, don’t you think?”
Kouda shook his head. ‘I don’t really think it’ll look good on me,’ he signed, pushing the shirt back.
“Anything you wear would look good on you,” Tokoyami responded.
Kouda blushed a little but shook his head. ‘I’m fine with my own style if that’s okay.’
“That would be fine with me,” the bird boy said. Went to put the shirt down, still holding one for Shouji. He wanted to get Kouda something from his favorite store at least.
His eyes fixated on a small booth of nice accessories “But, if you don’t want a shirt, would you be okay getting a choker or a few bracelets?”
Kouda shrugged looking at them. He saw a black bracelet with a cute bunny on it. He smiled at it. ‘Maybe this one?’ he signed.
“That looks cute,” Shouji said, leaning over to see it. He looked over, finding a black mask with sharp monster teeth printed on. He smiled from behind his own mask, looking at it.
“Hey Fumi, could I get this instead? Looks pretty cool.” He held it up, showing it to his boyfriend.
Tokoyami nodded. “Alright,” he said, going to put the shirt away.
After paying, the three of them head out to a store Kouda frequented. It was a small one that looked as if a stampede of unicorns charged into the mall & are now running the store.
It was quite the eyesore for Kouda’s boyfriends. It wasn’t like it was too bright with extremely eye bleeding colors, but the store they just went to was dark with almost no light & suddenly they’re hit with the end of a rainbow.
Tokoyami shook his head, trying to figure out whether or not the store was just some crazy fever dream.
“So, whaddya think of it?” Kouda asked, speaking for the first time that they had entered the mall.
“Well, it’s certainly different,” Tokoyami said.
“M-maybe we should’ve tried a different store then?” the shy boy asks.
“It’s fine,” Shouji reassured. “It’s probably gonna take our eyes a bit to adjust to the colors though.”
Kouda nodded, turning around to find some items for his room. He mostly went in there to find cute stuffed animals for himself since he found comfort in the soft plushies.
His two boyfriends followed, looking around at the whole place. A few stuffed animals were seated on the shelves that Kouda found a liking to. A bunny, an octopus, & a bird.
He thought about it for a moment before deciding to get them as gifts for him & the other two. He picked them up, walking over to buy them.
To the relief of Tokoyami, they finally made it out. Tokoyami felt like he could finally see & hear clearly without all of that loud pop music blasting in his head next to the brightly colored wallpaper.
Kouda handed each one of the two a small bag, each carrying a stuffed animal. Tokoyami got a cute bird, & Shouji got a small octopus.
Normally, Shouji didn’t like having what he considered to be clutter in his room. He wasn’t a big fan of material possessions, being a minimalist & all. But, when he opened the bag, he couldn’t just reject the big eyed plush octopus staring at him.
“I thought it reminded me of u-us…” Kouda said, smiling. “I hope you like it.”
“I appreciate it, thank you,” Tokoyami said.
“I like it,” Shouji said, placing it back in the bag for safe keeping.
The multi-armed boy offered to carry the two’s stuff, but they refused.
“I’m perfectly content in carrying these on my own,” Tokoyami said.
Shouji nodded, thinking for a moment. “Would you mind if I held one of your hands instead?”
“My, how charming of you,” Tokoyami smiled, taking Shouji’s hand.
Shouji then went over to also take Kouda’s hand, who accepted, albeit a little shy. They made their way to a store Shouji liked. It was the only store he shopped in as it had clothes for his build. He especially needed items that would keep him warm for when he went out.
His style could be considered tobe “plain.” He didn't exactly have a set style other than it looked nice, so he wore it. He wasn’t a big fan of flashy designs or pretty colors. He liked it though.
Moving around the shop to find a shirt, he held one in front of him that he took a liking to. “What do you guys think of this shirt?” he said, asking for an opinion.
“I-it’s nice!” Kouda said.
Tokoyami nodded in agreement, crossing his arms as he looked around the place. He could see why Shouji liked the place. It was simple & not too flashy of a store. Perfect for someone like him.
Shouji looked around a bit more in the store. He wanted to get something for Kouda & Tokoyami since they had both gotten something for him.
“Want help looking for anything?” Tokoyami asked.
“Eh, just trying to find stuff for you guys,” Shouji explained.
“Y-you don’t have to do that though,” Kouda said.
“I know that, but I want to…” He thought a moment, looking around in the store. There was really nothing that either of them would like. How disappointing. “Huh, would you two be okay if I bought pretzels instead?” he asked.
“If you insist, then yes,” Tokoyami said.
Shouji nodded, paying for the clothes that he had planned to buy, then heading over with his boyfriends to where the pretzels were. Kouda ended up getting cinnamon pretzels while Tokoyami got plain pretzels.
“Are you sure you aren’t hungry, Mezou?” Kouda asked.
“Nah, I’m good for now,” he responded. “Thanks though.” Looking outside the window, Shouji soon realized how late it was getting. It was almost dark now & their curfews would be there soon.
“Perhaps we should head back?” Tokoyami suggested.
“Yeah, probably,” Shouji agreed.
Kouda nodded, unable to speak nor sign with his pretzel occupying his hands & being stuffed in his mouth. A little bit of cinnamon was on his face. Both boys couldn’t help but think how cute Kouda was at that moment.
“What are you staring at?” he asked, wiping the cinnamon off of his face with a napkin.
“Just a ray of sunshine,” Shouji said.
Kouda turned his face away, embarrassed. “Th-thanks…”
Shouji & Tokoyami both laughed at Kouda’s shyness, all of them now leaving the mall & heading to the dorms. They really should hang out like this more often.
