Chapter Text
Jack Manifold always took pride in what he wanted to achieve, have that be helping Tubbo build an entire nuclear system from scratch or extracting his revenge on the one and only Tommyinnit. But alas, every single plan of his had managed to blow up in his face, annoying the man even further.
It was different when Tommy had apparently died, Jack mourned and grieved for a friend he wished he still had, back to when they would just mess about, with no ulterior motives in the mix. But that all changed when a very not dead Tommy strolled back through his hotel, claiming he had died and came back. Well so did he! So why does Tommy get different treatment than him!?
Well things would soon change, as Jack had a plan. He had tried every single thing to try and get rid of the blonde, but he had forgotten one thing. Potions. He would simply invite the boy to a dinner, say it was for the hotel purposes, and then slip the weakness potion into his drink. Once the boy was weak enough, bam, he’d strike and his enemy would finally be gone.
The thick vines of the swamp biome snaked its way up his legs as he trudged through the bog water. He needed to get to the hut before the sun went down, he could not miss this chance to get the potion he needed.
He soon came face to face with a hut that stood on top of wooden stilts, the vines covering the roof as mould reached around the wooden walls. Looking down at the bag in his hands, he double checked the amount of emeralds he had gathered, hoping that it was going to be enough.
Climbing onto the porch, he knocked on the spruce door as he waited, fiddling with his glasses to try and calm his nerves. The door opened as a tall shadow loomed over the man, Jack looking up into the face of the witch.
“Why are you disturbing me at my residence?” The witch spoke, her voice thick with venom.
“I uh, ahem, I need to make a trade, for one of your special potions.” Jack spoke up, grabbing the bag and opening it for the witch to look into.
The witch’s eyes widened as the emeralds glowed slightly, obviously showing interest. Jack silently celebrated as the witch moved to the side, inviting the man into her hut.
“What kind of potion are you looking for?” She asked, heading towards the potion shelf.
“One that causes weakness, the strongest one you have!” He spoke up, flinching back when the witch glared at him. “Please, Ma’am!”
He watched as the witch reached over, grabbing and looking at a potion before humming. She turned around, holding it in her hands.
“This should weaken the person you are going to use it on, enough to kill them.” She spoke up, turning to look at him with a serious gaze. “But you must not put it in another liquid, or else -”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah! I got it, no liquid.” Jack spoke quickly, extremely excited to finally have the item he needed. He threw the bag into the witch’s arms before grabbing the potion, turning and running out the door.
Finally, he had the upper hand!
---------------------------------------------------------------
Jack waited in the front hall of the Hotel, hands behind his back and the biggest smirk he could muster plastered onto his face. Tommy would be arriving any minute, and Jack was finally going to have the victory he deserved.
He had set up a nice dinner, consisting of roast beef and vegetables. He also had some juice ready, the potion hiding behind the plant so he could pour it into Tommy’s drink when he had the chance.
His eyes lit up as he noticed a blonde head of hair walk across the boardwalk, the loud child talking loudly to the A.I Sam Nook as he approached the Hotel entrance. Jack straightened his coat down, fixing his glasses as Tommy walked through the front doors, a shit eating grin spread across his face.
“Hey Jack Manifold! I see you’ve set up a big man feast for us tonight!” The blonde spoke, Jack straining a smile as his eyes narrowed slightly under his frames.
“Of course I did! We have plans to discuss, you and I, that only a feast like this would do for important business men!”
Spreading his arm out in the direction of the table, Tommy smiled at him as he headed towards the end of the table, placing himself in the seat across from Jack’s. Jack followed suit, placing himself down as he picked up a fork. Tommy did the same thing, already digging into the food. It was like he had not eaten in days.
Jack took his time, finishing his food slowly as Tommy scoffed his down. Cringing slightly, he placed the utensil down and coughed slightly into his hand to catch the blondes attention.
“So I was thinking we should talk about our little predicament, huh?” Jack began as Tommy nodded.
“Well yeah, you have to give me my hotel back!” Tommy began, pointing a finger towards him. “Sam Nook agreed to help me if you refuse.”
“Well how about we do this, I step down from the owner position, and I can be your right hand man?” Jack spoke, eyes sparkling as he watched the teenager ponder the offer.
“Alright.” Tommy began, eyes skeptical, “On the condition that you do it without pay.”
“Okay then. Should we close this deal with a drink?”
“I can’t drink yet!” Tommy cocked an eyebrow as Jack rolled his eyes.
“It’s juice you idiot!” Jack bite back, standing up and heading towards the glasses.
Blocking the view from Tommy, he poured the juice before grabbing the potion and dumping it into the right glass. It bubbled a bit before calming down, the colour changing slightly. Just one sip, and Tommy would be at his mercy.
He turned around, the cup of potion in his right hand as he headed back to the table. Passing the glass to the blonde, he tipped the one in his left hand forward, smiling as Tommy clinked his against his. They both began to drink, Jack smirking as he watched the blonde down the liquid. Now he waits.
It took a while for the effects of the potion to kick in, Tommy doubling over in pain halfway through a conversation. Jack grabbed him, pretend worry over his face.
“I thought you said it was juice Jack!” Tommy bit out, eyes squeezing shut as pain rippled throughout his body.
“It was, you might have just eaten too much. Let’s go get you to lie down, okay?” Jack spoke softly, helping the blonde into the suite upstairs on the first floor.
Tommy all but collapsed onto the bed, eyes squeezed shut as he wiggled around to get comfortable. Jack hummed softly, grabbing the blankets and placing it over the boy.
“Just stay here and try to sleep, I’ll check on you soon.” He ordered, leaving before Tommy could answer him.
Heading towards the basement, he grabbed his diamond sword from his chest and tucked it into his inventory. By the time Jack would go upstairs, Tommy would be too weak to fight back. He would finally win!
Scaling the ladders, he looked over towards the entrance, freezing when he noticed Sam Nook standing there, sword in hand.
“Where is Master Tommyinnit? I sense he is in danger! I must get to him.” The A.I spoke, and Jack was sure that he could hear desperation in his voice.
“He was just feeling sick. I sent him upstairs to relax. Don’t worry, I will check on him.” Jack reassured, already scaling the ladders as he did not want to wait on the robot to chase after him.
He double checked the hallway, making sure he was alone before pulling out his sword. He placed a hand on the door, taking a deep breath to steady himself. He was going to kill Tommyinnit, he was finally going to win.
Lifting his leg, he kicked the door open, dragging the tip of the sword across the floor.
“Finally, after all this time. I win! I can finally show you that I’m better than you Tommy, I can finally take my revenge.” Jack shouted in pride, taking enjoyment at the way he saw the lump under the covers shiver in fright.
He reached across the bed, grabbing the corner of the duvet in a hard grasp. Raising his sword, he flung the covers off of his enemy, preparing to strike. But something stopped him.
Instead of the weak sixteen year old he had left in here earlier, the contents of the bed were different. Large blue eyes stared up at him, tears pouring down round cheeks. Jack stuttered, sword dropping onto the floor, the clang causing the other to whimper in fear.
There was a toddler sitting in the bed. In the exact same spot he had left Tommy. Tommy was also nowhere to be found. The toddler was tiny, fluffy blonde hair and round baby fat shivering in fright. The child was also pooled in clothes, the exact same clothes that Tommyinnit had been wearing.
Jack couldn’t do this. He couldn’t hurt a baby. The potion was supposed to weaken him, not turn him into a fucking baby.
“Tommy?” Jack squeaked out, watching as the toddler froze at the sound of his name, before bursting out into full on tears and wails.
Jack panicked, reaching forward to grab the wiggling child. He had to get out of here, before Sam Nook killed him, before Sam killed him. He needed help, he couldn’t solve this alone.
The baby continued to cry in his arms, not liking the tense hold he was in. Jack seemed to notice, wrapping the shirt around him more securely. He needed to get to the balcony and trident out before anyone saw him.
“It’s okay Tommy. We’re going to go see a friend okay? She’ll know what to do.” Jack reassured, shushing Tommy as the toddler began to calm down a bit, his wails turning into quiet sniffles.
Pushing himself out through the balcony doors, he was grateful it had begun to rain. He pulled his trident out, holding the toddler closer to his chest before he aimed the weapon towards the woods before flying off.
He needed Niki.
