    A mysterious storm delivers a lightning strike which transforms Toothless in a way no one could have ever expected. Hiccup first thought he would have to declare his best friend as dead, but comes to view a different result. The Berkians can't predict whether the transformation was a curse upon their village, or a blessing in disguise. Hiccup misses his Night Fury, but this transformation introduces a whole new set of feelings he'd hardly ever experienced.
