It was a Saturday night and Naigi Makoto was for the first time in months not spending it with his friends. Makoto smiled at the thought of his Friends. He was alone not of his own volition but it was just how things worked out. Everyone else had something to do.
Kirigiri was busy working on a case so she couldn't hang out, she never did give him any details but to be fair he never pushed.
Sayaka was doing a private concert for her manager’s daughter’s birthday party, of course, meant that Makoto could not come though he did wish her the best.
Owada had some business to attend to with his gang and since Ishimaru and Fujisaki couldn't convince him not to go they went along instead to make sure he didn't do anything (as Ishimaru would put it) against local regulations.
Kuwata tagged along to see the action and asked Makoto if he wanted to come, Makoto decided to decline, remembering what happened last time he got in the way of Owada and his temper.
Celestia is off gambling with Yamada, but she did actually offer to take him along though the reason for this was she wanted to play him. Ever since she had discovered his talent on the first day she had wanted to try her luck against his. She quickly learned the simple fact that he was not all that lucky. This did not seem to dissuade Celestia and she kept on challenging him games and at this punt, he was just tired of it. That's why he politely declined her invitation.
Togami’s in his Dorm reading and asked not to be disturbed by us Plebeians and Fukawa’s was waiting at his door waiting for him to come out, Makoto had if she wanted to talk about her writing, she reacted by yelling at him for insulating her Writing and began to rant about many other insults he never said until he accepted it was a lost cause and walked away.
Asahina and Ogami were at Ogami’s family dojo which from what Ogami had told him was a very sacred place to her and her family and only Asahina had the trust of the family to the point where they would let her on the premises. This of course meant that Makoto could not hang out with them.
Hagakure was out trying to repay some debts and Makoto decided it was a bad idea to go along with him since he was basically scamming people. Makoto had told him multiple times it was a bad idea but he just responded with he had “predicted that it would all go well and he would have 100 customers!”.
Enoshima was doing a shoot somewhere, she didn't say where she never says where she goes? Ikusaba went along with her sister, Makoto had thought about asking if she wanted to stay and hang out but she left with Enoshima too quickly. “Huh that happens a lot”, he Thought
Makoto himself was sitting at his desk scrolling through his steam on the laptop his Friends got him for his birthday. This was the first time since Ishimaru decided it would be good for team building to play team games as he put it. Unfortunately, Ishimaru picked the first game that was both free and had team in the title, Team Fortress 2. Since then Makoto really never had time to do any gaming, until now that is. Makoto had all the normal games that you get for free on steam. But none of those really ever got his attention.
Just as he was about to give up and put away his laptop something popped up on his screen. “ASB has gifted you a game,” the message read. This intrigued Makoto because he knew no one whose Steam name was ASB, (those in his class who participated in Ishimaru`s team-building exercise just picked some variation of their real names or a name that had something to do with their talent). He then looked at the game, it was called Danganronpa 2 goodbye despair.
Makoto then noticed something weird about the game's art. “Hu,” Makoto let out in shock. The art was covered in his upperclassmen, class 77B! Except for two guys who he didn't recognize in the center and what looked to be two stuffed animals. They also did look a bit younger, except Saionji who looked like three years younger!
Makoto was far too Interested to not try it out. How could he not if his upperclassmen put the effort into making a game. Because who else could have made it? So he accepted the gift. From there he downloaded the game and started not even bothering to look at the Icon.
He then loaded the game up and was greeted by the intro. It introduced the cast who looked to be all a part of class 77 except for the Stuffed animals and who looked to be the main character, Hinata Hajime. It also had a darker tone than Makoto expected. Maybe it's an action game? The music sounded like what you might hear in the big action movie Trailers. There looked to be a lot of those Black and White Bears and those big machines monsters might be the Bosses? All of the Characters looked serious like they were in a dangerous situation. Huh … Makoto said out loud as the intro came to a close, the intro seemed too normal, not something you would expect to be made by Ultimates, but hey that really did not matter to Makoto, it looked like it was going to be fun and besides what was wrong with being normal.
