Work Text:
Clementine slowly walked to Eret's castle; the girl didn't remember why she even had to go there.
She probably asked to talk to them, or maybe it's the other way around. Again, the girl didn't remember.
Girl.
Clementine hated that word, she hated people calling her a "girl."
He was not a girl, he was Tommy.
Or maybe she was faking it like her old guardian always said.
This was all so confusing.
Clementine (Tommy?) started speed walking. They were almost there.
All of a sudden, the teenager was in front of the castle door; the door was impressively big, towering over them.
Clementine knocked on the door.
'Oh my god am I really doing this?' She (He? They?) thought.
The girl rarely panicked, usually just being loud and annoying to make people laugh and feel better.
And it usually worked!
But in this situation, a simple distraction wouldn't do the trick.
The door opened, revealing the king. Eret.
The teen was originally going to talk with Niki, but the girl was busy with Puffy at the moment, and the teen wasn't going to disturb them with something so stupid.
The oldest invited them in, Clementine quickly agreeing.
They talk.
Well, Tommy is mostly the one talking, Eret only nodding and asking questions at appropriate times.
Tommy told her everything, from how bad he felt in his body, from him holding in tears when people called him a "Girl."
At the end of his rant, Eret said,
"So, you're Trans? And you go by he\him? That's cool. Do you have a preferred name?"
This made the youngest grin.
"Y-yeah, it's Tommy." He stuttered, still crying. The boy didn't even realize he started crying.
"Well then Tommy, would you want me to tell other people, or will you do yourself?" They spoke calmly.
"Mhm, if you don't mind, could you do it?"
A nod.
The silence was calm, comforting.
Everything was perfect,
For now, at least.
