Gotham City, the criminal capital of America, might seem like an odd choice for a foreign exchange program seeing as the daily body count could easily reach the hundreds. But, Mme Bustier's akuma class was used to the kind of carnage found in cities where supervillains took up residence.
Despite the worries of her parents, Marinette was excited to be living in Gotham for the next three months. She had grown tired of her life inside the City of Love. What better way to escape than a trip across the ocean, she was even lucky enough to be one of the students selected for the internship at Wayne Enterprises. If only she didn't have the feeling of being watched, follow her to the new city.
Damian thought Gotham's academy's exchange program would never have another application after the disaster that was the last one. Unfortunately, he was mistaken. And to add insult to injury, his father had offered an internship to four of the french students. At least he had been permitted to miss school while working in the family's unsavory other business.
