Chapter Text
All in all, it could've gone way worse. Well, not really. It went about as awfully as a charged creeper in a room full of tnt.
The first mistake was trying to hack into an infamously exclusive, reclusive, overpowered white-list server. The second was forgetting that this world doesn't function like Hels does, and Xisuma's friends are probably a bunch of wusses. Okay, maybe that's a bit mean. Maybe. They just can't handle his brand of pranking.
Overall, 6/10, accidentally possessed Xisuma, got a few pranks in, going to be chewed down to bones when X manages to find him.
At least he'll have Xisuma's attention for a bit.
"You know that the Hermits don't work like we do, EX!"
Xisuma paces around while EX mopes, slumped forward in his chair.
"Well maybe they should..."
"No, EX, they're not like that," Xisuma sighs, slowing his footsteps, "now they're convinced you're a danger, and what if they find out about Hels?"
"They won't."
"What if Hels finds ou about them, then?"
That, at least, gives him pause. Hels is complicated. EX was born in Hels, rescued Xisuma from the Overworld, and proceeded to raise him. If anyone from Hels knew the truth- that EX is an anomoly, and Xisuma is younger -they'd be hunted and killed for sport. Helsmits aren't born like EX, Helsmits are made, altered versions of the original players, left to rot in an underworld worse than the nether's most vicious biomes.
"We prepare them."
"What?"
EX wasn't exactly fond of the idea of killing his brother repeatedly, but Xisuma made a very stubborn point that it was the quickest, easiest way to show them what kind of place Hels is. On top of the possession pranks from last go around, well, the Hermits are sure to get the point.
Maybe EX enjoys it a bit too much, but Xisuma gets a few good punches in after the fact, so it all evens out. Mostly.
The longer EX spends watching these Hermits, comforting X after his multiple deaths, the hotter his jealousy burns. He's protected Xisuma all his life, and while he's happy his little brother has a home, it hurts that EX doesn't get to be part of it.
Maybe, someday...?
Yeah, right. EX is a Helsmit. He's not meant to see the light of day, and Xisuma has better things to be doing than worrying about his stupid older brother anyways.
