A Hundred Names for Love

Summary:

"The adventures of keeping your feelings from your roommate and dancing around each other like fools," as quoted by Ji Changmin and Lee Juyeon.

Notes:

This is a collection of connected prompts of Lee Juyeon and Ji Changmin! I think they're really cute, that's all :) it also follows the Only Name Love Has book, since that was kinda Juyeons backstory into it. But yes enjoy!

Chapter 1: C.1

Chapter Text

Changmin shuffled out of bed in the early crooning of the dusk, to find the cupboards in the kitchen empty.

What? He rubbed his eyes, making sure he wasn't hallucinating or something. His pajamas sagged heavier than it's usual weight, the button up shirt exposing his chest to the cold morning air.

Now, their cupboards were indeed, usually empty. All their condiments are sitting on a coffee table in the corner, therefore there was no need to put them there. Maybe a new tea brand they got for free at the supermarket, or sauce packets from Mcdonalds.

But Changmin clearly remembered buying a whole pack of honey custard cakes, tucked in a nice cute yellow box with sunshines labelled on the plastic. He remembered paying half the price for it because he managed to talk the cashier out of it for a BOGO deal.

The cupboard was empty, nothing but the ripped yellow plastic and the box missing. Changmin squinted his eyes. There was only one suspect to this.

He snapped his head to the hallway, a dark ivory door sitting next to Changmin's pale blue one. With a sigh, he folded his arms while leaning against the freezing marble counters.

It takes ten minutes for Changmin to cool down, six to think about how his roommate is absolutely a nuisance, before he opens the door and heads for the lone bed in the corner of the dim room.

Lee Juyeon was some sort of wilder and sexier variation of Ji Changmin as said by close friends. Ji Changmin was an energetic and powerful dance type, who liked the power of boyish charm. Changmin thinks he himself is indeed charming!

Juyeon on the other hand, had a very androgynous way of moving. It was neither too feminine nor masculine. But sensual enough to seduce groups of students in the university. Not only that, Juyeon was kind of a sweet talker, while Changmin relied on the power of small noticeable gestures of kindness.

Needless to say, they had very different ways of attracting people.

Which was unfair, because Changmin thinks he's pretty sexy too. Better yet, sexier than Lee Juyeon. Kinda a stretch, but reasonable. He added.

Therefore it was a surprise among friends to see them rooming together. Because their habits, personalities, and preferences were different. Even their dance styles were different.

Yet, Ji Changmin thinks that it didn't really matter. Because Lee Juyeon and Ji Changmin have grown off each other, it's not that impossible as it seemed. Changmin actually can't imagine having someone different as his roommate. He's gotten too emotionally attached at this point.

Unfortunately, that doesn't mean Changmin doesn't have any pet peeves about Juyeon.

The bed dipped as Changmin sat down, hand reaching out to Juyeon's shoulder with a sigh of disbelief. You're sleeping comfortably like this after eating my snacks?

"Juyeon," He whispered softly, shaking him lightly. Wake up already so I can scold you. "Juyeonie."

"Hm?" Juyeon, dark locks tangled together as he turned over to look at Changmin on the other side of the bed. The soft blue light illuminating from the window softly graced his face, maybe leaving Changmin in this awe feeling. He yawned mid sentence."....What?"

Changmin laid next to him on the foam gently, eyes glaring as he wrapped an arm around Juyeon's abdomen. The thin fabric of Juyeon's tee sticks to his forearm. Juyeon's eyes slowly shut."Did you eat my custards?"

Well that surely woke Juyeon up, a loud and audible response shooting out of him."HUH?"

"I said,''Changmin sucked in a breath, poking Juyeon's nose a bit too aggressive with a glare. You little thing. The wool blankets shift over them."Did you eat my custards?"

".....no."

Changmin snorted in disbelief.

"You suck at lying. I'm taking money from your wallet for compensation." Changmin thinks it's cute how Juyeon's face drops to a deeper frown.

"Good morning to you," Juyeon sighed, rolling over to wrap his arm around Changmin's shoulder. The blanket doesn't seem too stuffy anymore for him."Stay for a while then."

"I have class in two hours," Changmin's words are muffled, his face pressed against Juyeon's chest, feeling his breath sync against him. Juyeon's hands card through Changmin's hair, before he pats him fondly almost.

Changmin's hopeful heart would've mistaken it as adoration. But this was normal. They were just very affectionate friends who needed some homie hugs. So he silences that thought wishing to be heard.

Juyeon shushes him, shaking his head for a more effective outcome, before finally he feels Juyeon's warmth pressed against his own. Changmin smiled, holding onto him a bit tighter, and it felt perfect almost. Like two puzzle pieces slotted together.

Untangling his head under Juyeon's chest, he gives him one last glance, a small smile playing on his lips before leaning back out of habit. Good morning to you too, Juyeon.

The soft humming of the air conditioning and the orange sunlight peeking through the windows is enough to make Changmin drowsy, as he finally shuts his eyes and drifts off.

Juyeon gets home a bit earlier than usual, to find two boxes of honey custard cakes wrapped nicely in a plastic bag sitting in the cupboard. A familiar blue sticky note stuck onto it, Juyeon takes it off with an uncontrollable beam. His chest swells in some unknown feeling. But it's bright and enough to take away Juyeon's worries.

' Stop stealing mine from now on! >:[ '

"Cute." Juyeon grinned.
