"Hey Deku, you're going to town right?" Uraraka asked, approaching the other
Midoriya was at the front door of the class A Heights Alliance dormitory grabbing his shoes.
He nodded at her.
"Yeah, there's a sale on some All Might merch." Midoriya squatted down to tie his bulky red shoes
“I thought I would go see if they had something I haven’t collected yet.” He smiled excitedly
Midoriya loved collecting All Might merch, especially if it was marked down. Sometimes things are really expensive so he waits.
The other then looked up at Uraraka.
“Do you need me to get you something?" He asked politely because he assumed that’s why she was asking
Uraraka glanced to the side, blushing.
"Um, this is kinda embarrassing to ask, but could you pick up some tampons for me?” She asked shyly, poking her index fingers together
“I have to use a certain type, otherwise I would just borrow a couple from the other girls.” The brunette rubbed the back of her head
“I uh, only have one left and I don't wanna go out in case I bleed through my clothes. That would be even more embarrassing." She explained
Midoriya stood up since he was done tying his shoes and set a comforting hand on Uraraka's upper arm.
"There's nothing to be embarrassed about, just send me a picture of the box so I can get the right ones." He smiled softly, letting his arm fall back to his side
Uraraka smiled back and nodded.
"Okay, let me give you the money." She started to walk off
Midoriya shook his head and waved his hands.
"It's okay, I can pay for it."
Uraraka turned back to him.
"What, really? Deku, I can't ask you to do that." She frowned with a shake of her head
"I really don't mind. I did it for my mom all the time. She would forget a lot." Midoriya shrugged with a light laugh
Uraraka looked to the side again, rubbing the back of her neck.
"Well... okay, if you say so. Thank you so much, Deku." She hugged him abruptly
Midoriya smiled again and hugged her back. When they parted, he turned to open the door.
"No problem, I'll be back soon." He told her, earning goodbyes from his friends
"Be careful on your way to town, Midoriya." Iida called from the table from which he was wiping down
"I will Iida!" Midoriya told him with a nod
"Bye Midoriya." Todoroki said then sipped his soba from the green couch he was sitting on
"Oh bye Todoroki, see you later!" Midoriya waved
"Hope you find some good merch." Asui said coming up beside Uraraka
"Thanks Asu- I mean Tsu!" Midoriya smiled at her
"Later man!" Kirishima waved from his spot on the other side of Todoroki
Kaminari looked over and spoke up.
"Hey, if you see Bakugou, make sure he didn’t forget the sodas." He told Midoriya as he leaned on Shinsou, who was sleeping between him and Todoroki
Midoriya's eyebrows rose at the mention of Bakugou.
"Kacchan went to town?" He questioned
He and Bakugou have been getting along a lot better than they did in the beginning of their first year or their entire time in junior high and middle school years. They still argue sometimes, but overall things have been great between them. Midoriya was truly blessed.
"Yeah, Bakubro left about twenty minutes ago." Kirishima answered
Midoriya nodded understandingly and stepped towards the door.
"If I see him, I'll let him know. Bye guys!" He waved one last time before walking out of the building
"Bye." They said in unison as he shut the door

Midoriya stopped at a FamilyMart on his way to the mall where he planned to do his merchandise shopping. He was hoping to get there early but it looks like he’ll be a little behind. That’s okay though. Uraraka needed her tampons!
"Um miss, can you help me?" Midoriya asked a middle aged looking worker
"Sure, what do you need kid?" She turned and gave him a smile
Midoriya showed his phone to the woman.
"I need to buy these, but I couldn't find them in the hygiene products aisle." He said pointing to his phone
He wanted to make sure he got the right product for Uraraka, but he couldn't find them when he looked down the aisle. He thought maybe he overlooked them somehow.
The woman worker nodded.
"Yeah, just follow me." She waved her hand, signaling him to follow her
"Okay." He said, catching up with the woman
The two walked back to the aisle Midoriya was previously at and the lady squatted down to the lower shelf. It took her a moment but then it seemed like she found it.
"Here they are." She said, picking up a box and handing it to Midoriya
He looked at the box and then the picture Uraraka sent him to compare.
"Oh, I must have overlooked them." He said after confirming the tampons were the exact kind Uraraka needed
The woman stood up with a smile.
"It's okay, that all you needed?" She asked
"Yes, thank you so much!" Midoriya nodded at her
"No problem, kiddo." The woman walked off, leaving Midoriya to his own devices
The smaller checked out and paid then quickly made his way over the mall with the bag in hand.

"Woah, two super rare special edition Bronze Age All Might figurines!" Midoriya said to himself
He smiled as he looked at the boxes that depicted a very detailed All Might in his Bronze Age uniform. Midoriya already had a couple bags full of All Might merch which were hanging off his arm along with the bag if tampons Uraraka requested him to get. He reached out to pick up one only for his wrist to be snatched away.
"Oi, those are mine!" The person said harshly, making Midoriya grimace and look at them
His eyes went wide as he realized who the stranger was.
"Wah- chan! Wha- what are you doing here?!" Midoriya asked the blonde who looked as irritated as usual
The other was in his iconic skull shirt and dark baggy jeans, hair as spiky as ever.
"What's it look like, Nerd?" Bakugou rolled his blazing red eyes, letting go of the smaller’s arm
Midoriya side-glanced at the boxes.
"Um, looking at All Might merch?" He questioned
"Duh." Bakugou said crossing his arms, shopping bag bumping his hip
Midoriya noticed there was a pack of sodas in the bag.
He blushed.
"I- I knew Kacchan was a fan, but I didn't expect to find you here." Midoriya shrugged
The two were huge All Might fans, but one was just better at hiding it than the other. That person being Midoriya. He’s so bad at hiding it.
Bakugou gave a tight fake smile.
"Well here I am.” He said then immediately stopped it
“Now move, those figurines’re mine." He shoulder checked Midoriya and picked up the two boxes
He was so serious about collecting!
"But there's two, can't I have one?" Midoriya asked pleadingly and furrowing his eyebrows as he turned to the other
"No." Bakugou answered point blank
"Kacchan, that's not fair! Why do you get to have two?" Midoriya said, sounding a little whiny
Bakugou narrowed his eyes at the other.
"Because I got the money for it, do you even have enough for one?" He scoffed
Midoriya jolted back, offended.
"What do you mean?" He asked
Bakugou rolled his eyes.
"Look at the price, idiot." He gestured towards the sign on the shelf
Midoriya's eyes bulged when he saw what it was marked as.
"What? Twenty thousand yen for one figurine?! I thought this was a sale!" He frowned
Bakugou smirked smugly.
"Looks like they're mine, Izuku." He said as he held the last two figurines
Midoriya sighed.
"Maybe next time." He murmured with a small pout
Bakugou rolled his eyes again.
"I think there's a silver age All Might figurine over there that's pretty cheap." He jerked his head towards a different aisle
Midoriya looked in the direction the blonde nodded towards.
"Really? I wonder if I have it already, thanks Kacchan!" He smiled at Bakugou
"Tch- whatever." The taller said then started to walk off
"Hey, Kacchan?" Midoriya stopped him before he could get away
"What?" Bakugou asked, stopping but not looking back
Midoriya looked to the side then back to the taller.
"Um... could you wait for me?" He asked
Bakugou brows scrunched in confusion.
"Why?" He questioned, turning his head to look at the other
"So we can walk back together?" Midoriya shrugged with a small smile
Bakugou eyed him for a moment then scoffed.
"Then hurry up, Nerd. I ain't got all day." He told him as he crossed his arms
Midoriya smiled brightly.
"Go ahead and pay, I'll be done in just a moment." He said, rushing over to get the All Might figurine Bakugou had mentioned
"Don't tell me what to do." Bakugou muttered, heading to the checkout counter after watching the shorter scurry off

"Oh Kacchan, you waited." Midoriya said, sounding surprised as he saw Bakugou standing outside the store
"Ain’t that what ya asked me ta do?" Bakugou frowned, placing a hand on his hip
"Well yeah, just... you know, thanks for waiting." Midoriya blushed slightly
He’s happy that the other actually did so. It’s rare that he would.
"It's nothin'." Bakugou said, walking off and expecting Midoriya to follow him
The two quickly left the mall, heading towards the closest train station. They of course made sure they had their tickets so they could board.
"It's a nice day out." Midoriya hummed thoughtfully, looking up at the clear blue sky
"Deku, I don't do small talk." Bakugou told him
"I know, I was just saying it's nice out. The breeze is great." Midoriya said, looking down at the ground shyly
"I guess." Bakugou shrugged and shoved his hands in his pockets
His bag slid down his arm to his wrist and bumped against his leg with each step.
"...This is nice also." Midoriya added, glancing at the other hesitantly
"What is?" Bakugou cocked an eyebrow, side glancing Midoriya
The smaller gestured to them both.
"Us walking together. It's like we're best friends again." He said happily then faltered, looking away
At times like this, Midoriya doesn't know how to act around the blonde. It’s not because he's scared of Bakugou or anything anymore, but it's mostly because of his mega plus ultra crush on the other. So, he gets a little confused and self conscious and flustered.
Midoriya shook his hands out in front of him. The bags were weighing them down.
"I- I mean not that we aren't or are... I wasn't um I-"
"We're friends, Deku. Stop stuttering." Bakugou said sternly
"Right, sorry." Midoriya rubbed the back of his neck
Friends, but not best friends. Not anything else of course.

"Jeez, there's a lot of people on the train today." Midoriya whispered as he stood near Bakugou
"Feel like a goddamn sardine." the blonde grumbled, irritatedly with a sigh
"Excuse me." Someone said as they squeezed passed Midoriya pushing him back into Bakugou who bumped into the wall of the train as the door closed
"Deku, get off me." Bakugou whispered violently as the train took off
"S- s- sorry Kacchan, I can't really move. There's no room." Midoriya said with a small blush
This situation wasn't helping the smaller keep feelings for Bakugou at bay. In fact, he was slightly panicked.
"Ugh, fine." The blonde sighed, turning his head to the side to Midoriya's hair wouldn't tickle his face
The shorter felt embarrassed because his backside was being squished up against Bakugou. He tried his best not to move, but his heart was racing and he felt so awkward. It was too cramped on the train. It was rush hour after all.
"Stop. Squirming." Bakugou told the other as he sat on a hand on Midoriya’s side to still him
The smaller’s ass was rubbing right against his crotch and he wasn't about to pop a boner on the train, definitely not in front of Midoriya and definitely not because of Midoriya.
"It's stuffy." Midoriya said, glancing down at Bakugou's hand that was carefully on his waist
In the past, Midoriya would feel afraid of that hand, but now he knows Bakugou would never hurt him again. Probably. However, the contact was making his cheeks blush and his heart race even more. It was so intimate!
"Don't care." Bakugou rolled his eyes, letting his hand drop back to his side
He does care, but he is not telling Midoriya that. The shorter sighed awkwardly and tried to steady himself so as to not irritate Bakugou any further, but he just couldn't. Too many things were making him uncomfortable. The people, the closeness, and the possibility of making the blonde behind him angry. It was all overwhelming.
Bakugou leaned forward near Midoriya's ear.
"Deku, I'm not gonna tell you again." He gritted his teeth
Midoriya jolted at being scolded but nodded understandingly.
"Sorry." He said feeling goosebumps spread on his neck
Bakugou grunted when the other moved again.
"Just turn around, Nerd." He told him and grabbed Midoriya’s side again to move him around
"Ah, okay." The shorter said carefully turning around
"That better?" Bakugou asked as Midoriya faced him
"A little." Midoriya nodded looking up at Bakugou
"Thanks." He smiled sheepishly
The other was so handsome. From afar and up close but Midoriya already knew that.
"Shuddup." Bakugou said rolling his eyes again
He's glad Midoriya decided to move around otherwise he really would have popped a boner in front of everyone. For once, he would actually be embarrassed, but he can't have that. It would definitely look bad for his public image for the future. Bakugou suddenly felt Midoriya tense, going stiff as a board so he looked down at him. The shorter eyes were wide like a deer caught in headlights yet had this far away look.
"What?" He asked quietly
Midoriya didn’t look at him.
"P- please tell me that's your hand..." He whispered and tried to glance behind himself
Bakugou frowned, not understanding for a moment.
"What-?" He started to ask until the dots connected and he scowled
The blonde reached a hand around Midoriya to catch some extra's wrist and pulled it up into the air harshly. Oh if he could yank it off like a Barbie doll arm he fucking would.
"Oi, if you wanna keep that hand, I suggest you not touch him." Bakugou threatened using his quirk to heat up his hand
He wrapped his other arm that was holding his shopping bag protectively around Midoriya's back pulling the boy firmly against his body. The creep made a squeak sound.
"Un-hand me." The older guy hissed
He was just as fit as Bakugou and Midoriya, but that didn't give him an excuse to be a total creep. And it’s definitely not an excuse to touch Midoriya of all people.
"Then don't go around gropin’ people, you damn perve!" The blonde spat venomously
"Kacchan-" Midoriya whispered, noticing people were started to look in their direction
"Shuddup Deku, I got it." Bakugou muttered, not taking his eyes off the disgusting stranger that groped Midoriya
"You better shut your mouth." The guy tried to retaliate
"I'm Dynamight and this is Deku, we're students of Yuuei. You really wanna go against us, you piece of shit?" Bakugou narrowed his eyes, squeezing the guys wrist harder
He hoped it would cut off the circulation.
"Did I hear Deku?" A passenger asked
"Dynamight is on this train?" Another questioned
The creep yanked his hand out of Bakugou's strangulating grip.
"Yeah and this perve just touched him!" Bakugou pointed at the guy
"Oh my." A woman gasped, pulling a little girl close to her protectively
"How disgusting." A man frowned
"I'm reporting you!" A fellow teen said
"Yeah, leave Deku alone!" Another agreed
"We've arrived at station —— mind the doors and oncoming or exiting passengers." The man on the overhead PA system announced
The man quickly rushed off the train as the doors opened, escaping into the station. Bakugou loosened his grip on Midoriya.
"Don't worry Deku, I got a picture of him." A guy told them showing them the picture
"Yeah me too, I'll take it to the cops." Another person said
"Tha- thank you." Midoriya smiled awkwardly at the other people
"That's a good friend you got there." An old lady smiled at them
"Yeah, he is." Midoriya nodded
"He can take care of himself." Bakugou blushed slightly, crossing his arms
"We've arrived at station —— mind the doors and oncoming or exiting passengers." The man on the overhead PA system said
"Let's go, Nerd." Bakugou said, grabbing the other wrist and pulling him a long
"Bye Deku, glad you're okay." A passenger said
"Don't worry about him, we'll make sure he doesn't do it again." A man told him
"Thank you everyone!" Midoriya smiled at them as he almost tripped when the blonde tugged him off the train

"Kacchan, is everything okay?" Midoriya asked as they walked down the street
Well, it was more like he was stumbling after the blonde he was dragging him along by his arm. He noticed Bakugou had been off since they left the train station. He was abnormally quiet which is saying something for him.
"Yeah." The blonde said, continuing to pull Midoriya along
Midoriya frowned a little.
"It doesn't sound like it and you don't have to hold my wrist so tightly, I'm not going anywhere." He let out a small laugh, hoping it would lighten the mood
Bakugou stopped on the sidewalk and let go of Midoriya's arm.
"Sorry." He said, not looking back at him
Midoriya tilted his head in concern.
"An apology?” He asked
“Kacchan seriously, what's wrong?" He asked walking in front of the taller
"Nothing." Bakugou said, looking to the side with a frown
Midoriya crossed his arms.
"Are you really lying to me? I thought we could share our feelings a little better than this by now." He said
Bakugou sighed.
"I just... I'm sorry." He muttered
"For what?" Midoriya asked, making Bakugou look at him finally
The blonde suddenly looked furious.
"For what?! I made you turn around and that creep groped you because I left you exposed! I should've switched spots or something!" He said, dragging a hand down his face like he was stressed
Midoriya’s face was plastered with realization. Bakugou was upset and felt guilty. Sometimes Midoriya forgets that the blonde cares about him so much.
"If you switched spots with me then he would've groped you and I would be just as upset about it as you are right now." Midoriya told him
Bakugou scoffed, shaking his head.
Midoriya grabbed Bakugou's hand with his free one.
"Kacchan, it wasn't your fault and thankfully you were there to keep it from going any further." He said
He still feels uncomfortable of course but he’s really glad Bakugou was there to protect him because he completely froze. Yes, he definitely could have defended himself but when that hand touched him he… he couldn’t do anything. His heart dropped and his blood ran cold. Midoriya isn’t sure he would have been able to actually stop it.
"Just did what anyone should do." Bakugou shrugged
"I know, so thank you for protecting me Kacchan." Midoriya smiled at him
Bakugou looked to the side again.
"Whatever. You would've been fine on your own…” He grumbled, not wanting to take credit due his actions
“But glad you're okay or whatever." He added
"Me too." Midoriya said
He bravely took Bakugou's hand pulling him along as they continued their walk back to Yuuei. It's moments like this that confused Midoriya to no end. Intimate moments where Bakugou lets the smaller hold his hand, hug him, or just be close to him, but it was better than nothing. On their way back, Midoriya never once let go of the blonde's hand and Bakugou never told him too. Even though the taller knew Midoriya’s hand had to be uncomfortable with his sweaty palms.

The next day was Midoriya's birthday and throughout the whole day, he got birthday wishes and presents from all his friends and the school staff. The shorter loved it, he never had this when he was in middle school or junior high. The only presents he would get were from family and even that wasn't much. Midoriya appreciated all of the gifts and happy birthdays, but he really wished Bakugou would give him something or at least wish him a happy birthday. Of course, Midoriya wasn't expecting the blonde to, but it would be nice if he did. The shorter was studying in his room around seven that night when he heard a knock on his dorm door. He got up from his table to answer the door wondering who would be there at that time of night.
Midoriya opened the door to find Bakugou at his door in his usual black tank top and matching black sweats pants.
"Hi Kacchan, what are you doing here?" He asked with a smile
"It's your birthday, ain't it?" Bakugou asked with a frown
Midoriya nodded.
"Well yeah, but I didn't think you would come tell me happy birthday." He said, rubbing the back of his head shyly
Bakugou rolled his eyes.
"’Cause I ain’t. Here." He stated as he moved a box out from behind his back
"A present?" Midoriya asked, looking surprised at the black and dark teal wrapped box
It looked like his old suit.
"Yeah." Bakugou said, waiting for the smaller to take the present
"Can I open it right now?" Midoriya asked, looking back up at Bakugou
"Do whatever you want, Nerd." The blonde shrugged
Midoriya took the present excitedly.
"Would you like to come inside and watch me open it?" He asked, moving aside to let Bakugou in if he wanted
The taller rubbed the back of his neck. It was almost as if he was unsure or hesitant, that was strange.
"Uh sure." He answered, walking into Midoriya's All Might themed room
"You can sit wherever." Midoriya told him as he shut the door
"Thanks." Bakugou said, taking a spot on the other’s nicely made bed
Midoriya sat down at his desk with a content smile as he put the present on the table's surface. He noticed how neatly the box was wrapped, meaning Bakugou probably wrapped it with a lot of meticulous care. So Midoriya started to slowly unwrap the box, trying not to mess anything up.
"It's gonna be Christmas before ya get tha damn thing open." Bakugou complained now that he was sitting in the end of the bed watching the other
"I don't wanna mess up the wrapping paper, you made it look so good!" Midoriya told him as he continued to unwrap the box
"It's just paper, Deku." Bakugou frowned
Midoriya furrowed his brows as he looked over at the blonde.
"But it's my present, Kacchan." He argued
"Whatever." Bakugou scoffed, rolling his eyes
It took way too damn long for Midoriya to open his stupid present, but Bakugou waited silently anyway.
"Kacchan!" Midoriya said in surprise, holding up the Bronze Age All Might figurine
He held it to his chest, looking towards Bakugou again.
"Wait, didn't you buy this for you?" Midoriya asked
"I bought two because I planned to give you one for your birthday." Bakugou admitted with a shrug
"Oh. Then that's why you didn't want me to buy one?" Midoriya stood up from his desk
He left the box behind and walked to Bakugou who was still on his bed.
The other nodded.
"Yeah. Didn't want you to ruin the surprise." He told him
"I'm glad I didn't. Thank you Kacchan, I love it!" Midoriya said as he leaned down to hug Bakugou
"Good, shit was expensive." The blonde patted his back with a small smile
"It was, how can I repay you, Kacchan?" Midoriya asked as he released Bakugou from the hug
Bakugou rolled his eyes.
"You don't have too, idiot. It was a present."
Midoriya furrowed his brows again.
"I know, but- oh! I almost forgot!" He said, turning and racing to his dresser
"Forgot what?" Bakugou asked, eyeing Midoriya as he searched his dresser drawer
Midoriya brought him a keychain that was All Might silver age edition.
"This. I got you one too." He smiled, handing hit to Bakugou
"You have one?" Bakugou asked, standing and taking the object to observe it closer
Midoriya nodded.
"Yeah, I saw them when you told me to go to the other aisle for that All Might figurine, which I got by the way, and I thought they were cool looking." He smiled as he talked
Bakugou just stared at Midoriya and listened to him talk. The other talked a lot, but over the years Bakugou enjoyed his ramblings.
Midoriya continued to talk.
"I know neither of us have that version so I bought one for both of us so we can match. You know like some friends do-"
Bakugou leaned forward as Midoriya babbled away and planted a chaste kiss on his lips.
"Thanks, Deku." He whispered
Midoriya looked at the taller with wide eyes.
"You kis-?" He surged forward, kissing Bakugou back
"Deku, what the hell!" The blonde pushed Midoriya back, looking shocked and covering his mouth with a bright blush on his pale face
"What?!" Midoriya squawked, cheeks blushing just as much as Bakugou's
"You just kissed me!" He shouted frowning
"I- I know, but you kissed me first!" Midoriya accused, pointing at him
Bakugou whipped his head to the side.
"I know! You don't have to point it out, you damn Nerd!" He said harshly
"Why are we yelling?!" Midoriya questioned
"I don't know!" Bakugou answered
An awkward moment of silence passed. It was heavy and filled with anticipation.
"Kacchan, why did you kiss me?" Midoriya asked quietly
"You really have to ask that?" Bakugou muttered with a frown
Midoriya laughed lightly walking forward.
"Yes... I do." He told him
Bakugou sighed.
"Then I don't know Deku... It just felt right. Why did you kiss me back?" He turned the question to Midoriya
"Because I like you Kacchan." The smaller admitted bluntly
"You what?" Bakugou's eyes snapped to Midoriya
Midoriya swallowed hard and laughed awkwardly.
"I thought it was obvious, but I guess not.” He shrugged
“I've liked you for a long time. As long as I can remember actually." The shorter added
Bakugou shook his head.
"You're crazy."
"Only crazy for you." Midoriya grinned with a cute tilt of his head
"Shuddup, Nerd." Bakugou rolled his eyes with a other small smile
"Can I... kiss you again?" Midoriya asked, walking closer to Bakugou
Bakugou looks to the side.
"... Sure." He shrugged
"I love you, Kacchan." Midoriya said, planting a kiss on his cheeks
"You serious?" Bakugou looked at the other with a raised eyebrow
"Of course I am, I love you!" Midoriya smiled with a blush
"Then me too or whatever." Bakugou smirked, looking down at the ground
"You can kiss me, if you want." Midoriya told him
Bakugou looked up at him and their eyes met. Red entranced with green.
"Good... because I really want to."
"What's stopping you?" Midoriya asked, quirking a mischievous smile
"Tch- nothin'." Bakugou retorted and leaned forward until their lips met
