Work Text:
Doomsday took away Tubbo’s home. The country he once was the president of was turned into ashes, a crater that forever told the story of the rise and fall of L’manburg. When the TNT was set off, when Dream and Techno invaded the lands, Tubbo was forced to fight back. However, he and the rest of the server were not victorious. L’manburg had fallen, and so had Tubbo. He was no longer president. Without his home, his nation, where could Tubbo go?
Tubbo searched for a new place to call home, leaving behind his friends who scattered across the SMP. He journeyed to the North, where the chilly winds would leave snowflakes in his hair, frost on his fingertips, and chills in his spine.
After adventuring for—what felt like—years, trekking through the ocean, the harsh weathers, Tubbo managed to stumble upon snowy hills that overlooked the sea, a calming setting where his heart felt safe and his mind felt at peace. It was different from L’manburg. There was no war threatened, no bloody disputes, no danger. However, from the top of the tallest hill, he could see Pandora’s Vault. Its presence so near his new home was ominous, looming in the air, but the snowy hills were chosen by his heart to be the birth of new hope, and it was too late for him to journey in a different direction.
With no time to spare, Tubbo began to work on his house. Made from polished andesite, spruce logs, and stone brick, his house was a quaint shack only a few blocks tall with an attic in the small space of the wooden roof that endured the harsh snowfall of the lands. And thus began the birth of Snowchester. Was it a nation? A commune? The status of Snowchester is ambiguous, but Tubbo knew the mystery would keep Snowchester safe.
The fleeing members of L’manburg traveled throughout different parts of the server, but Jack Manifold seemingly made his way to Snowchester, becoming the second resident of the lands. Tubbo welcomed him, a fellow friend, with open arms. Tubbo had felt a bit lonely by himself, with only his snowmen and snow angels to keep him company, but Jack Manifold brought memories with him that gave Tubbo a sense of hope he once felt with L’manburg. From a population of one to the home of many, Tubbo built his new town from the ground up.
In Snowchester, Tubbo found peace. There was no worry of war or fights or bloodshed, only peace, and quiet. Exactly what Tubbo needed after his past with L’manburg. He vowed himself to not let Snowchester become the ashes that L’maburg was reduced to. He vowed to protect himself and his town until the very end. But that meant Snowchester needed protection.
Dream was still out there. He could strike and ruin all that Tubbo worked for...again. And Techno was no fan of nations himself. They were threats, the downfall of L’manburg. But Tubbo refused to let them take Snowchester from him. And so he cracked his fingers, fixed his wooly jacket, and adhered to a plan to keep his beloved community safe. Thus, the birth of a new project, one that required another person. Jack Manifold. Nukes.
